Wife and I stayed 3 days for 41st anniversary. Bob and Tracy are wonderful hosts.

The most peaceful, lovely, enjoyable place to be, surrounded by water and love. Thank you, Tracy and Bob!

We had a wonderful trip. The property is a truly scenic spot. There are many birds in the area. Our room was the Talbot room and was comfortable. There is no TV, but there is internet. The hot breakfast was tasty. Tracy, one of the hosts, was very friendly and informative.

Beautiful property, really nice historic house. Staff is great, breakfast was great, relatively short drive to St. Michaels

If you are staying in the “attic room” and you are taller than 5’0”, you will have a problem. Location was fantastic but the breakfast was a small piece of quiche and a soggy waffle in a plastic container. On the up side, the coffee was great.

Both of us loved the peace and quiet. The breakfast every morning was great. Being by the water was very cathartic. We were totally relaxed. My wife and I will definitely return for another stay and to see the owners, Bob and Tracy, again. They were an absolute delight.

A lovely historic inn which sits on the beautiful point of Tilghman Island, Maryland. The innkeepers are friendly yet provide the feeling of privacy for couples trying to get away from it all. Breakfast was excellent with many things coming from their extensive garden, including the eggs from their own chickens. We extended our stay an extra day because we didn't want to leave.

Enjoyed this historic B&B at the tip of Tilghman Island. Very nice grounds surround the house. Lots of birds (eagles, osprey, terns, etc) and a lovely dock to watch the sunrise from. In the evening you can sit on the porch in a rocking chair and enjoy a liquid refreshment (BYOB) while watching the sunset.. or take it in from one of several hammocks on the grounds. The hosts (Bob and Tracy) were very friendly and provided great breakfasts each day that we were there. We stayed in the Talbot Room in the main house and it was comfortable. If you are coming here to use Wi-Fi or watch TV, this isn't for you. But if you want a relaxing getaway...this is the place. Would definitely visit here again!

It was great to stay at Black Walnut Point Inn. My most memorable aspect of the stay was the very impromptu conversation with Tracy who has an amazing life story. The property overall is beautiful and peaceful. The home is decorated with antiques and the rooms are very clean. The views are gorgeous and I would 10/10 recommend. My only regret is not staying longer.

Wow!! This is a wonderful place with an amazing view and lots of history. We could have stayed longer if we knew how nice it is. Our omelets in the morning had home made eggplant chutney and man that was great!

Being there reminded me of being in my grandmother's old house as a kid. So many things are makeshift trying to be more modern. I missed have a desk/table surface to use a laptop. Scenery could have been awesome except it was 100% clouds when I was there. But, I could easily see how the place would be very nice for a family to spend a few days there. Pool. Patio with a grill. Hammocks.

We stayed in the main house. Upon entering, we noticed the peeling paint and rotten wood on the house and porch, and the smell of mildew upon entering the door. Our room was smelly, bedspread was wet from dampness, mildew stained pillows, cobwebs on lamp shades, tiny bathroom and shower stall, shower stall for one with standing in place room only and no shelves to put soap or anything else, shower curtain old and frayed. There was a window ac unit.
We slept in our clothes and did not use the shower. There were 2 couples at breakfast who were staying in the cabins and they were not happy either....they had the same complaints.
The owners were in a hurry to leave for their vacation that afternoon, gave us a hurried tour with another potential visitor, and did not even have any bottled water......only well water. No comfy atmosphere, smelly and rundown.
A cold front had come in that day with alot of wind and rain. The roads leading to the inn were full of pot holes and flooded....it wasn't even high tide. When I asked Bob about the flooding on the road, as we were concerned about getting stuck later upon returning from town and dinner, he said it's never happened. This place is at the end of the peninsula, surrounded by the bay on 3 sides. The other 2 couples said they were glad they had an suv with 4 wheel drive.

Black Walnut Point Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. Out of the mainstream but convenient. A wonderful, interesting building. Charming, conversant hosts. We will be staying there again.

First thing is remember this is a B&B not a hotel. Second thing is it is located inside a bird refuge which means after hours you have the run of the of the area. The views are amazing, the innkeepers are extremely friendly and manage the place well. Breakfast was excellent and the service beyond our expectations. If you want a quiet remote calm place to stay this is it. The pictures in the web site do not do it justice If you are a birder or someone who enjoys the serenity and nature you must stay here !!!!!

If you want to get away from it all and have a beautiful scene to gaze at, the Black Walnut Inn will fill the bill. The location on a point in Chesapeake Bay gives you water views on three sides, including amazing sunsets. The Inn's two comfortable sitting porches are perfect for reading and lazing away part of the day; maybe before a swim in the pool or venturing out for antiques in one of the many small historic towns near by.
Staying at the Inn feels like visiting an old friend's home. And the breakfast is well worth getting up for. You can wander around the property to see the fig trees, the turkeys, and the gardens, but you can't walk to any other property. It's very isolated, but for me, that's part of the charm. Hard to find so close to Washington DC and Baltimore.

In my opinion this is a one of a kind spot. Beautiful water views and very nice property with a lovely pool. The flowers, plants, trees and shrubs are all fantastic and the breakfast is very nice. Things are a little run down but it's a centuries old place and has been kept in good condition - not pristine but comfortable. It's very quiet - a place to hide away and reflect - read and relax. We stayed in one of the cabins so I can't speak to the rooms in the house. Hosts are terrific, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful retreat inside of a bird sanctuary surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay. Very relaxing; we had a wonderful time decompressing from the world and enjoying nature. Cell phone reception was acceptable, but no internet. We stayed in the Attic Hideaway, which I dont recommend. We had to scrunch to get in and out of the room and the shower was among the worst weve had, but those were minor irritations. The bed was comfortable, the hospitality superb. We also had fun exploring in nearby St. Michaels and historic Easton. I definitely hope to go back when we can spend more than 2 nights -- just not in the attic!

Last and only house on the peninsula. Peaceful, quiet getaway kind of place. Night stars, waves lapping on the shore, etc. Dave was very welcoming and attentive. I did remind me of visiting my grandmothers house!

Inn hosted a wedding on Sat. before our Sun. arrival. We would not have expected the rental equipment to have been removed but could not understand why wedding debris (partially used soda bottles, beverage containers, etc.) had not been cleaned up by our Tues. checkout. The Inn sits on a beautiful spot where the Choptank River meets the Bay. We were impressed with the spot's natural beauty but not with the "view" of the wedding detritus. The absence of cleanup struck us as trifling and inconsiderate of Inn guests. At $247.50 a night, we expected better.
In a positive vein, Dawn and Jamie, Inn staff who were running things in the innkeepers' absence, were hospitable and a pleasure to be around.
