This is a basic hotel. The check-in was nice enough. The room was roomy and comfortable. However:
The dead bolt on the room was stuck and I literally had to crawl out of the window.
This was after being woken up by construction/landscaping happening right outside my window. Multiple rooms were empty and you booked me into the one right by the construction?
I would have mentioned this at checkout....but there was no one at the checkout desk. So I left my key on the counter and left.
Hopefully they fix the dead bolt on room 101

Simple room, the pool is very small with no shade at all. It is ok if you just want to sleep there

The beds were comfortable and check in and out was fast. Staff was friendly.
The only downside there was no breakfast.

The door looked like it had been kicked in. There was blood splatter on the side of the bed. A shoe print on the sheet. My dog went to the area of blood, which is how I found it. We didn't stay, and they would not return our money. The manager said, “Motels don't wash the mattress cover every day.” I said they do when they are soiled with blood and dirty. She didn't even offer to clean it when I showed it to her.

Clean, comfortable little motel with very nice, friendly husband & wife owners. Excellent value which includes a good breakfast. Will stay there again.

Mattress was a back killer. Towels were thin, small, and rough. Bathroom had no fan or heat and window was screwed shut and dripping with condensation. He put us in the front unit with much street noise, we asked for a back unit but he said they were "full up". I counted 5 cars in the lot at midnight. It was NOT a pleasant experience! The food picture is a joke.

We stayed one night in Barstow. This hotel was perfect. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable. Even though there were only a total of 3 rooms occupied the night we were there, the owners still had fresh coffee and muffins and other cold breakfast items ready for us.

Budget inn in Barstow. The name is very accurate. I was looking for a place in Barstow to sleep a few hours as I passed through town. Budget inn delivered that plus breakfast. Clean bed with nice pillows, and a nice breakfast for a very reasonable price. The rooms may not be perfect but more than adequate to spend a night.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and property. The staff was very friendly. There were a lot of food options near by.

The room was newly updated but not finished. The lights in the bathroom were not done. There was no plastic laundry bag. There were a few more but I can't remember them now. The traffic from the main street was very loud and went on all night.

Well the room I stayed in was muggy,the TV did work the light fixtures were in disarray wires coming out of the wall, soda machine did not except dollars had to wait the next day for the office to make change,the sink look like it had been used with a rag inside the sink with parts of the light fixtures inside I was hoping for a free breakfast like it showed it in the hotel description a little misleading 3 links of sausage and cold scrambled eggs no waffle/pancake maker was turned on . great India people running it very nice and friendly both night shift and day shift and they did have a cab number for the guy that picked me up from the train station to the hotel 25.00 flat rate and didnt take him long to come and pick me up

No frills motel. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and it’s always good. The owners/operators are super nice, always willing to accommodate our needs. The price is right and bonus of sustainable breakfast is a plus.
I highly recommend this place to travelers.

Staff would not let my wife take a single yogurt at breakfast for the road, my wife is a diabetic. We stayed at 10 hotels during our trip this is the only one that refused her a yogurt. Had to ask for a room coffee maker and the micro was missing the heating plate. The staff mentioned, stated he was the manager. I would like a apology from him for my wife.

The property turns out to be quite nice, clean, and having spacious room. Staffs are helpful. The hot breakfast has a variety of selections and better than I expected. The only con is the hotel seems to have thin walls, so you may receive lots of unwanted noise from upstairs and next door. Not recommended for people who have poor sleep patterns.

A pleasant stay at this underrated motel. Budget friendly as its name suggested. Super friendly owners. Clean. Comfortable bed. I have to say the shower is a surprising highlight. Never have experienced such high pressure before, in a good way though. It felt like the town's water tower is right next door. I will definitely consider it again for future trips.

This is a nice place to stay and is definitely budget friendly. My only issue was the bed… while comfortable, it had our feet elevated and our heads, well, it was crooked..
I had to sleep with my head at the end of the bed in order to sleep with my head upright.
Took a dip in the pool, very clean and enjoyable.
Laundry on site too.
Oh and ice isn’t free. That was another negative.
Overall, I would stay there again, but only if my budget wouldn’t allow something more affordable.
Office staff are amazing.

This property is one of the most underrated properties in Barstow. Clean room, comfortable bed at a fair price. It is our "go to" place whenever we stopover in Barstow. As a guest, we definitely feel valued and are always treated very nicely by the owner.

Dingy old furniture and rusted sink……looked like poop in the sink! No tissue and had to pay for ice!!! Pancake maker didn’t work, rubbery eggs very little food served ie four muffins, bread sausage patty. We didn’t expect a feast but they should have made it more welcoming with what they did serve! BUGET INN FOR SURE! Bad experience…..dirty pool too! Should have known it would be a bad experience when the door to the room was all messed up!

Everything was ok except for checking into our room, the a/c was off as well as the fridge unplugged and it took several hours for room to cool on a very hot summer night.

I know that I booked a budget hotel, but I would still expect it to be somewhat clean. First we walk into the room with an outside temperature of 113 degrees and the air conditioning was not even turned on. If my guests were expected after the check in time, I would at least be somewhat prepared. I booked a room with a jetted tub and when I went to look, the stopper was in and there was an inch of green, slimy sludge water in the tub. The room mustn’t have been rented in quite some time. There was nobody in the office at this point to even look into changing rooms. I literally had to shower the next morning with my flip flops. The ceiling looked as if it was about to fall down with so many cracks and water stains. The two arm chairs were so dirty and damaged that I wouldn’t even consider sitting on them. Luckily there were no bed bugs in the mattress when I checked. The property came with free continental breakfast which I never expect much in terms of quality, but this was not to be chanced. I voiced my concerns to the front desk worker and told I would like to speak to the supervisor/owner and left my information. No response was received!!

We weren’t expecting much based on the price, but we found that it was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The enamel was chipped, a bit on the bathtub and sink, but it was actually charming to see that they were real metal features. There was a big-ish fridge and a microwave that came in handy. It was the perfect spot to overnight on our way to California. I wouldn’t have minded staying longer if we had business in Barstow.

Check in was easy, and our desk attendant was very kind. She also was there for breakfast service, which was very impressive!! Pancakes and eggs are real treat from a hotel breakfast. The pool was clean and not heated, but that didn't keep the kids from getting in. If we are in the area again, we'll definitely be back.
