My family enjoyed the two bedroom suite, willing to book again, great stay.

The property was great other than the fact that they have gotten rid of the hot tub. They still had a pool that the kids enjoyed.

Good value for the price

At check in we were informed that the pool was "broken." Well, that's just great with 2 kids that have their heart set on swimming, and a 2 night nonrefundable stay booked for almost $500. Oh and "Its Friday night so the GM wont be back until Monday." Ok, so the solution given was to walk across the road to the neighboring hotel to the tiny, dirty pool that now has twice the amount of people as it would have had. The room was nice, not overly clean, but not filthy. 3 out of 4 ice machines were not working. The celing fan was going to detach from the ceiling if we ran it on high. We didn't get to try the breakfast as we had to leave before it started at 6:30 both days.

The employee of the hotel was great! They are very nice and friendly but the hotel itself is dirty and not taken care. That’s too bad. When we arrived about 4 pm the room not ready, so we had to wait, and the internet was horrible, it kept on and off until the next day. The shower curtain in the bathroom need to wash or change badly. Some mold in the sink area. I hate to say these but i have to tell the truth. Maybe need some remodeling to fresh it up, just suggestions!

Decent little spot. A lot was unfinished. Room was spacious, but they never came to give us new towels and had a few significant spots in the bathroom that needed cleaned

4 day stay. Noticed Drain in shower and sink clogged on 1st day RM 105. Told front desk of issue, never fixed. Trash everywhere in halls and outside entry door. Pizza box on ground for 2 days. I finally put it in trash. Way below industry standard for this brand. Will look for other lodging on next trip to Des Moines.

Toilet didn’t work. Exercise room was unavailable. No hot tub

The type of room I reserved and had conformation for was not available. I had a double queen room that sleeps 6 reserved and then when I checked in I was told all they had was a king bedroom with a sofa.

Property was in a very convenient location and was very per friendly. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious and kitchen was a nice amenity.

Place was great. Breakfast was great. The only thing that wasn’t great was the tv. The golf channel worked on Saturday but didn’t on Sunday

Super nice. We had 2 adults and 3 boys. But not enough towels kitchen plates there was only one spoon no forks and no bedding for the hideabed. Trash can could have been bigger. Other then that breakfast was good pool was nice too. One more thing it would be nice to be able to shut the curtains.

Very friendly front desk. Clean lobby and rooms. Easily accessible to interstate and other amenities.

Very nice room and friendly staff, just didn’t get the best attention by the cleaning staff, hairs in the shower and dirty q-tips and toenails next to the bedside end table.

The check-in process and the room cleanliness are the sole reasons for this poor score. I arrived at the hotel at about 9:45PM to find five other guests in the lobby and no employees in sight. I found a hand-written note on the check-in desk advising the employee was busy helping other guests and to call a specific phone number to speak to the employee. I called the number but there was no answer. About ten minutes later, the employee, obviously overworked, apologized profusely and gave me my room keys. She told me the electronic door needed a battery change but she would have it taken care of as soon as possible. I went and parked my car and carried my bags to the room to find the same employee frantically working on the room door. She found out our keys were no good, apologized again, and went to get new keys from the front desk. My wife and I waited in the hallway about 15 minutes until the employee returned to find out the new key worked, but the room was locked from the inside as though someone was inside. She gave us keys to a new room on a lower floor and apologized again. She told me that if I complained to the manager when he was in, I would likely get a lot of HHonors rewards points for the trouble. At about 10:20 PM, we finally found ourselves in a room that smelled strongly of marijuana. The toilet seat was soiled and broken so I cleaned it myself. My complaint is not with the sole employee working in the hotel that night, but with management…

Bathroom was not cleaned well prior to check in. Heat did not work. We had reported the issue after our first night as the room got down to 65…. After reporting to desk,no heat second night again.

They gave me the wrong room, wasn’t the room I originally had booked for. Then they gave me the correct room. The hot tub was no longer there. That info was not updated. The pool restroom had broken paper towel holders, they were placed on the floor along with the soap dispenser. There was a broken glass in the dishwasher, housekeeping obviously did not check it. Im just really surprised at these inconveniences. My guests were disappointed. I would not return.

This was the worst Homewood we have ever stayed in. I had hoped to do some laundry during a long trip, but both their guest washers were broken. I noticed two of the treadmills in the gym were also broken. Breakfast was marginal and the fire alarm went off while my husband was trying to get a shower. The room was okay, but not up to Homewood standards

It was a very nice hotel. Our room was very spacious and the breakfast was good. The seating for breakfast was very accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay at the Homewood Suites in Ankeny, IA! A very nice property and very nice people working there!

The staff was nice. Property was unkept. The was a sticky substance right out side of the elevator on the 3rd floor, like a pop was spilled and was not mopped up. The soap scum on the shower door was terrible. Needed vacuumed. And the hot tub and pool were closed so we had to go to another hotel to use theirs, which were very small. Not worth the $$.

Super comfortable bed, great food options for breakfast and overall a good stay. Cleanliness of room was spotty but not terrible. Note- to get free WiFi you must be a member of their HiltonHonors, which is free but annoying.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again :)

Pool wasn’t working and we weren’t told about it. I would have stayed somewhere else with 4 kids.

The pool was closed but the hotel next door allowed us to use there pool but you had to walk thru 2 parking lots. Otherwise it was a good stay.
