Lovely, quiet location. Beautiful room with everything you need for a relaxing stay! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful plus the hinterland views are amazing!

We stayed in nusa dua and it had beautiful views from the large balcony. Spa bath was great. Host was lovely & checked in to see if we needed anything. Unit had everything we needed & was very comfortable. Only gripe was bad TV reception & broken TV remote. We would stay again.

We stayed in the new "Samur" cottage, with views that went on forever! I can honestly say that the only downside of being here was having to leave. If I could have stayed for much longer, I would have. Thank you for making our stay such a beautiful experience. The cottage is 5* Amenities 5* Cleanliness 5* Ambience 5* Breakfast is local and just in keeping with what's needed. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Maleny Tropical Retreat was the perfect venue to host our girls reunion. The 2 bedroom Nusa Dua room was spacious and well equipped with a wood burning fire (well used during our early spring stay where nights were chilly) and functional kitchen (cooktop and Convection microwave oven included). Located between Melany and Montville, we had easy access to the local communities for fresh produce. Our hosts were friendly, checking in on us a few times to ensure we had all we need, and refreshing the firewood and kindling as needed.

Friendly owner checked us in giving us great info on local dining establishments. Beautiful property that was secluded and quiet. We had an older style bungalow which was well equipped and comfortable for a short stay. The bungalow was smaller than I had realised and was located towards the bottom of the property so none of the spectacular views they had from the top. It would be nice to have had a more comfortable table and chairs set on the veranda more in keeping with the Balinese theme. It was nice having a wood heater in the room and also a spa. Nice place to stay however if you’re looking to just chill out at the property would recommend staying in the newer, bigger dwellings which offer more room to move.

This resort situated between Montville and Maleny is an ideal place for a romantic weekend away. Each cabin is set away from each other and overlook the valley and the lake. The furnished balcony provides an ideal view of the sunset and the fog rolling in over the lake in the morning. The bungalow itself is spacious and well appointed with an ensuite bathroom and a separate kitchen/living room. The wood fire was a great touch as it got a little chilly in the evening. Overall a beautiful weekend away in an awesome resort that we would stay at again without hesitation.

We loved the quiet and private villas overlooking such incredible views. The location was close to both Montville and Maleny. Very comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. Bonus was the double spa.

We liked that the units were private and the view was lovely. It was quiet except for a bit of road noise but that is to be expected with the location. I did feel the units are a little dated and not like the pictures. The crockery was chipped and the towels were fraying around the edges.

Amazingly private and spacious room with Balinese inspired decor. Tasty continental brekkie basket provided with yummy local yoghurt. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the room and outlook so much we didn’t feel the need to go out much. Just chilled with books and coffee.

The property was well presented, reminding us of Bali but better. The owners were welcoming and very helpful with food and sightseeing recommendations. The view from our room, Benoa, was spectacular including Baroon Dam. Maleny Montville is a lovely area for a break

I was met with an overpowering urine smell when opening the Tuban cabin door. Liquid was on the floor near the bathroom. Faeces was left in the toilet. I would have been pleased to stay here otherwise.

We had a wonderful time over a long weekend. The hot tub in the room was one of our favourite things. Stunning views of the forest and green fields as soon as you look out of your room. Self sufficient kitchen and very comfortable big bed. I loved watching the birds with a cup of coffee from the verandah in the morning, and watch the beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne. If you want to get away from everything and have some much needed peace and quiet, this is the place! We loved our stay and can't wait to go back in winter so we can use the fire place.

A very steep drive down to reception. We stayed in a room near reception. It was a little dark, very roomy, it had a spa bath in the corner of the room. It was in a bushy area so very quiet. Only short drive to either Montville or Maleny. Just on the other side of driveway was The Balmoral Lookout overlooking the coast.
