Awesome place to stay. The room was clean, neat and modern and made up every day. The furniture made the room feel like home, instead of all hoytie toytie like the bigger hotels. The young lady that checked us in was very professional and friendly. Rates were reasonable. I would highly recommend this motel and will stay there again should we visit TN in the future.

This is a motel like we stayed in during the 1950's and 1960's. It has been maintained and updated. Super clean, comfortable beds, easy access to room from parking. Would definitely stay again if traveling in that area.

We received a phone call to confirm our reservation. When we arrived we were handed a bag of goodies. The lights and TV were turned on when we walked in our room. The room was clean and welcoming.

far enough away from the congestion of pigeon forge and gatlinburg but close enough to get everywhere easily! cades cove right down the road. only downfall is lack of restaurants in the area. they were packed!! so we roasted weinies at the motel firepit!! great staff and cozy room.

We booked our room knowing we would be in it very little, so luxurious wasn't a factor. Super clean, lovely smelling toiletries, stocked coffee area, legit linens and did I mention clean? The only thing I can say is I prefer a soft mattress. Were our beds soft? No. We're we uncomfortable? Yes! We loved our stay here and will be back again and again. Book your next stay in Townsend here, you won't be disappointed.

An that treats you like a valued customer - not just another name on the registrar. Rooms with a double coffee maker in the room with true mugs - not paper cups. Chairs in front to sit and enjoy the Smokies. Great getaway.

The Townsend Gateway Inn is a little gem of a place to stay if you are interested in exploring the “Peaceful Side” of the Smoky Mountains. My daughter and I came here for a race and some hiking. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The room was perfect and we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs outside our room watching an afternoon thunderstorm. Folks just could not have been nicer and our stay was very comfortable.

A nice simple hotel for a fair price. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom is kind of small, particularly for someone who has disabilities, and they only have tub/shower--no walk-in showers. Check-in was easy and the staff are very nice. The bed was a little hard for me, but I love my 3"-inch pillowtop at home, so most hotel beds are hard for me, particularly with arthritis. They give you a wonderful treat bag when you check-in with lots of little snacks. If you're looking for a nice place to lay your head down after being out in the park all day, this is a great place. I made it to Cades Cove in less than 30 minutes, but I did leave at 6am so that helps as well.

Everything was nice and clean. Office people were nice. A/C was great with the hot and humid days lately. When you walked in the room it didnt smell bad. I would stay there again. Its almost across the street from Master Burger.

Nice overnight stay in beautiful Townsend. We decided to spend the night on our Dollywood trip at the last minute. Prices were very high in pigeon forge and most were booked up. So glad we chose TGI. Very comfortable in great location.

Quiet, amenities adequate with in-room shower supplies, hair dryer and iron and ironing board. Party area with lot's of seating, corn hole and horseshoes, swimming pool. Motel structure is older but pleasant update to rooms. Booked through Expedia. Cons: loud air conditioner and very uncomfortable pillows. We would stay here again.
