Very pleasant place! Clean, quiet and comfortable. Thanks for a restful night.

This place was wonderful. Very clean and in a good area.

We are use to hotels that don’t allow smoking. Accepted recreational smoking has a down side, it makes accommodations stink.

Lovely little quaint hotel. Rooms were very nice and had comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and gave excellent service. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We checked in late and left early. The office was not open at either time, but provisions were made by leaving the key in a mailbox where I dropped it off the following morning. The room was spotless which I loved. Comfortable bed. Mini fridge. Wonderful stay!

It was what was needed, a clean, safe affordable place to stay while viewing the colors. A bit noisy, so very grateful for the "ambiance sound machine" the hotel provided. Nice touch! Exceptionally clean. Never met any staff, but was able to get in and out without a problem. Room cleaned each day.

The room was everything we needed. Most of all we appreciated the cleanliness and the bed was super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Love the two sinks in the room! The room was large and extremely clean and comfortable.

The stated address of the hotel on the website is not the address of the property. As a result, GPS and navigation apps cannot locate the property. I had to call the front desk for directions, which were contradictory at times (go past the post office, no turn around). As a result, I wasted 20 minutes tyring to find the hotel, which was not enjoyable after a 3.5 hour car ride.

A very nice stay. New. Clean. Not as quiet as one would hope, but it wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again. This trip is to visit local family and to go down “memory” lane of visiting cousins who lived in Maple City. We are revisiting all of our childhood locations. This hotel is in the center of all of them. I’m glad we chose this place.

Nice hotel for thr area. Great location. Never saw any staff .

Hotel was adequate. The lighting was terrible both in the sleeping area and bathroom area. No elevators, so must walk up stairs with luggage. Parking limited right in front of bldg, but there is another lot across the street. We only stayed one night after getting off the ferry, so it worked out ok.

First time staying here and will probably be back if we come back to the area! Rates are fair. We were on the bottom level and the only downside being on the bottom is you can hear the people above very easily. Would probably request top floor for next time if able. Otherwise very clean and convenient spot!

Booked last minute while traveling through- clean lovely place near sleeping Bear state park which was so beautiful 😍

My sheets where not clean. The room is nice

Nothing special about this place. A spartan room with minimal amenities (missing lotion and Kleenex). You could hear the TV and people talking in adjacent room.
Would be quite overpriced were it not in the peninsula and early fall.

Very nice place to stay. Close to beach as well. There is a new gas station next door too.

Located in the heart of Empire, makes it very convenient to explore all of Sleeping Bear, plus all roads conveniently seem to lead to other great neighboring towns & sites…the Empire beach and hiking trail w/over look is second to none…we have stayed in this motel many times in the past and are never disappointed, great friendly staff…we’ll be back!

So close to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. And not far from Betsie Lighthouse. Had a great time. Empire is such a cute little town.

It was a little over priced for what you got.

I had a minor issue the first night, but they went above and beyond to fix it and I really appreciated their attentiveness and efforts to resolve the situation. It made the stay an outstanding experience. The hotel is only about a 10 minute drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes dune climb and scenic drive. Walking distance to restaurants and a small but nice beach. Awesome place to stay!

Probably one of the cleaniest Inn's we've ever stayed at. Not only that, they were super accommodating. They are pet-friendly, however, be sure to call right after you book to let them know you have a pet. There are specific rooms for you and your pet. Peggy was extremely nice enough to let it slide but I'll remember next time when we book this place again. Walking distance to the beach too. It was a beautiful quiet walk. No more than a 10min I would say. Gosh, I could honestly keep going about this place. We can not wait until we get back there again. Hopefully during the fall. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay and service.

The hotel was clean and in a great location. The mattress and pillows were not super comfortable. We could hear everything that was going on in the room above us, so it was kind of noisy.

The property was clean and the staff was nice.

Kinda cold reception on arrival. No real check-in per say. Got the key from a guy in the office, no instructions about the complex(ice machine, local attractions, restaurants). We were on the second floor and there was no elevator. The room was clean and comfortable, beds and pillows fresh and new. Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator and microwave. Shower/bath combo adequate. $300 a night for this small motel room was way overpriced but in a small seasonal area this seemed to be a bit above average rate. Good location with Sleeping Bear Dunes infocenter next door and Empire Beach access just a short drive (walking distance for some). A few local restaurants down the street otherwise a small village.

Nice property, There were no gas stations or convenience stores near for Pop, gas or snacks. Also the Pop machine did not work. However, the maid got our money back, which was nice.

Empire Lakeshore Inn was a basic property / hotel. The room and bathroom were small and tight making it difficult for an average person to use and feel comfortable. There were no amenities. It was noisy (able to hear other travelers and vehicles), and squeaky floors making it difficult to sleep. It was really overrated and not a value for travelers.
2.0
Great location for us as we wanted to explore the dunes. Can walk to restaurants. We went over the 4th of July so I wouldn’t say it was worth the holiday pricing but overall decent stay. Walls are super thin so you can hear every conversation in the next room.

Expensive but understand that hotel is in a tourist area.
