The only thing that was disappointing was the fireplace. It was on a timer that just wasn’t very long and it didn’t even blow out any heat. The light just seemed very dim as well and could go unnoticed very easily. The main lobby fireplace was amazing but I didn’t want to sit there.

Owner was absolutely fantastic! Made sure we were well accounted for, and really took the extra time to make our group feel right at home. Beautiful location, great amenities, and very cozy rooms. Love the hot tub area, and breakfast room is great to play board games in at night. Hotel is located very close to downtown sister bay, and is very close to many shops and restaurants. When we visit door county again, we will definitely be staying here again!

Wonder stay for 2 days of hiking. Comfy beds and hot tub and outdoor fire every night. Awesome.

The host was very friendly and helpful! The lobby fireplace was very inviting. The King bedroom had plenty of room with a side couch to sit on. We were surprised that we had a microwave too! The lodge in on the quiet side of town and not too far from the Main Street where all the shops and pubs are! We will go back to stay.

This was my second time staying at the Open Hearth Lodge, and both experiences have been excellent. A very well run family business. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

In the area for the annual Christmas market. Great location. Very accommodating owner. Hot tub and a bonfire so relaxing! Evening entertainment by his talented adult daughter a welcome treat. She plays the guitar and has a wonderful voice. All added to a great weekend.

Warm and inviting atmosphere. Decent pricing and close to local restaurants and shopping. The staff is great, the rooms large and there are local wines, frozen pizza ( cooked and brought and brought to your room) and snacks available at the front desk to purchase for your convenience.

This was mine and my fiancés first time at Open Hearth Lodge, and we definitely be back again! The people were extremely friendly and welcoming. They would open the doors when we would go in and out and even greeted us by our names every time we came in and left the hotel. Will recommend this to all my family and friends.

Staff was very friendly. We were there for 5 days and almost felt like they were family. Beds were so comfortable. Loved the firepits Could have used a little brighter and a few more lights in room

We did not expect much for this hotel in a pricey area, but we were pleasantly surprised. The grounds were lovely, there were comfy outdoor seating areas everywhere, many with fire pits, and the place had an overall good vibe. We love the Hampton chain when we travel and this have us much of what we love-a good bed, ample amenities, pretty good in room coffee with real mugs, a great shower head and fluffy towels-to be comfortable and taken care of.

We didnt bring my dog but they have a fenced in area for dogs to go off leash there & many rooms are pet friendly. We had a whirlpool room with fireplace & that was fabulous.

Staff was friendly, atmosphere was great! We loved sitting out by the fire enjoying some wine and conversation. My only complaint would be the beds were hard. The rest was great!

Love the location, beautiful landscape and our room was amazing. I love the fact this hotel is dog friendly the accommodations for pets here is phenomenal. I’ve never experienced that anywhere that I’ve stayed. I would definitely book again and I love my time here.

Beautiful property, clean spacious rooms, loved the out door fire pits and seating, indoor pool and hot tub, corn hole, amazing staff, very friendly! Cozy indoor fireplace sitting areas, large breakfast area. Close to popular attractions, shuttle service. We will definitely back!

Wonderful stay at the Open Hearth. Room was clean and filled with wonderfully soft towels and great toiletries. Breakfast was good, and the indoor pool was enjoyed thoroughly . Will definitely return!

Great location near Sister Bay. The indoor pool and hot tub were a great benefit on cool Door County days. We had a great time at the Open Hearth Lodge.

The owner works extremely hard to make your stay perfect! Great property touches include comfortable outdoor gas fire pits with chairs; homemade granola cereal and fresh cherries for breakfast; music on the weekend; great fresh coffee!!!
