The inn had a really cozy feel. My room was perfectly clean and even had a gas fire place. The staff were super friendly as well. I arrived on Thanksgiving Day and the staff made sure to call me so that I could make arrangements to get my room key. The bed was really soft which I liked. My dad didn't like the soft mattress as much so if you hate soft mattresses, you may want to take that into consideration. But if you want a nice cozy place for a reasonable price, I'd definitely stay here.

This property is in excellent condition. The room and the common areas were spotless. The owners have a high degree of pride of ownership! The bed was springy or kind of bouncy but still quite comfortable. Our room had a gas fireplace which was a very nice touch. Continental breakfast was fresh and well attended by staff. This was our first time at this hotel. We will very likely stay here again on our next visit to the area.

This Inn had all the bells and whistles! Big room and bathroom. Super clean and newly upgraded. Fireplace, coffee in room, ceiling fan and AC. Good reading lights by the bed. Nice breakfast included in the price.

A few carefully appointed antiques but home style was light & bright and beautifully decorated! But the most helpful & charming person was Kerry, the proprietor of the property! She thought of every detail to make our stay a delight!!

We wanted a place we could do motorcycle rides from that was central and comfortable. This place was quiet, comfortable and very relaxing. We stayed in room 11 with the big tub, fireplace and private balcony. It was so nice!

The gal who ran it was very nice, asked us if we would like to know of great places to eat, gave us information of where to find the winery’s in the area and just was very helpful. We had a nice morning breakfast and our room and facilities were very nicely kept and clean inside and out.

Our stay was absolutely delightful! We were celebraing our 30th wedding anniversary and the Inn was the perfect place to do it. The proprietor was so friendly, with lot of suggestions of polaces to visit in the area. Within walking distance to Main Street in Sutter Creek, so convenient. Our room was spacious, clean and wonderful, like taking a step back in time. I highly recommend this Inn!

Our first visit to Inn at 161. A welcoming relaxing place. We particularly enjoyed our room - Deluxe Suite. It was so spacious and tastefully decorated. The proprietor & staff, Carey, Mary, & Deb, were friendly and helpful. As always, Sutter Creek, is a delightful place to visit.

A/C and Wi-Fi didn’t work in room 11, which was a suite. We were moved to room 2, which was the standard room. The next morning we were greeted by someone other than Jenae and she didn’t even serve us coffee or breakfast without telling me about how the Wi-Fi worked. No apology or any kind words. Just questioning why I needed to move rooms. Another guest from room 6 overheard the disrespect and mentioned how she dealt with the same issue and the female staff member changed her whole attitude. “The Wi-Fi was probably out then.” As if my account didn’t even matter! I had to walk away without eating breakfast because I was infuriated. After calming down and packing our things, we checked out and asked for the receipt. The female staff member was much nicer and actually apologized but at that point I didn’t want to hear anything from her. I told her that her first impression ruined the entire trip and without me asking about a refund she told me I would need to talk to someone else about a refund. I only asked for a receipt, I never even brought up a refund. This was the level of ignorance I had to deal with. Then when I called Expedia to try to handle it, the property didn’t even answer the phone for Expedias representative! Then when I posted my negative review on Google the property owner responded saying the A/C and Wi-Fi actually worked and that it was user error. The constant gas lighting, denial, and blame is enough to make any sane person go crazy.
