Mixup with late check in and air conditioning but thankfully resolved. Helpful with suggestions.

Interesting little place. Good for views, very clean, very remote. Advertises baggage storage however expected me to leave it in an unlocked and unsecured room not by reception. Was fine for a few days stay

The view of the ocean was the best part. The swimming pool was also excellent. Walking back to the hotel from the main strip was a little tough due to the steep incline. And I would have liked to see more Greek options for breakfast instead of all the English options. The rooms were cleaned very well.

Great property, friendly owners, plenty of parking x

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel - we're so very glad we booked it. The room (no.7) was enormous, with a lounge area separate to the bedroom; and to top it off, we had a sea-facing balcony which gave us magnificent views over the land and sea. I would suggest hiring a car or quad to get to and from the hotel, as it is a steep walk to the main road (just short of a kilometre), but I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel for it's great location and stunning ameneties!

not really a good structure, breakfast is poor, old rooms not so comfortable, not easily reachble. would give a 6.5

Lovely resort at the top of a hill we walked it a lot but in the heat of the day a bit of a challenge. Did not detract from this little gem of a place though

Dionysos Village Resort is a fantastic place to stay for a holiday. The views are absolutely fantastic, mainly due to it being on a large hillside. Contrary to past reviews, air conditioning is now included and they no longer charge to use it in the room. Every single staff member we met was friendly, smiley and talkative which really added to the experience. The bar is very well priced, €4-5 for a pint or bottle of beer, €7 for a ‘classic’ cocktail and €10 for a ‘premium’ cocktail. Happy hour was from 18:00-20:00 every day where the drinks are cheaper! The food from the bar’s kitchen was really nice too, highly recommend the salads or the traditional greek dishes! They serve lunch and dinner from there next to the pool. Breakfast finishes at 10am every day and is located in the canteen overlooking the pool, selection was decent with eggs, bacon, sausages, toast with jam/marmalade, fruit selection, pastries, ham & cheese, etc.
The hotel is in a good location if you use taxi’s or hire a car. I wouldn’t recommend walking up OR down the hill(s) during the day as it’s simply too hot in peak season. The taxis are very well priced, generally being €7 for any trip to Lassi, €8 to anywhere in Argostoli town, etc. Keep in mind the taxis are cash only. The closest ATM is near the supermarket (Mina) at the bottom of the hill, it charges €3.95 for each withdrawal.
The beach at the bottom of the hill (Makris Gialos) is beautiful and the sunbeds in front of Costa Costa are great!

Fabulous. The rooms aren’t flashy but they are huge and well equipped. The pool, bar etc is stunning. Staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. It’s an absolute gem. Bring your own beach towels. Air conditioning is extra. Great base to explore the island and very convenient for airport. Views are breathtaking.

The property is very nice and the staff are very good. The views are amazing but the hill leading to it is called cardiac hill, even the car won't go up in 2nd gear.
It should also be mentioned that Aircon is chargeable extra and you need it.

Superb result and hotel was great views amazing friendly staff lovely pool
Issues you will have it is up a steep hill if you have mobility issues you will need a car or get a taxi
The 3 beds with covers over they want to charge you 20 euros per day I felt that was steep they should be free to use
The property I would recommend and stay
Again don’t let the hill put you off the view is stunning

Very relaxed atmosphere, felt at ease when we arrived, left to just get on and enjoy our holiday

Super nice view from everywhere - rooms, pool area, restaurant but it is not for free - you have to climb up quite steep hill from beach/town. It is just 10 minutes walk to reach beach or main street with tavernas.
Rooms are nice - seems to be newly decorated. There is everything needed. Breakfast was good - good selection of different options.
Pool is nice and big - a lot of sun beads. No issues to get one.
We have not tried the restaurant.
Staff was nice and friendly.

Great hotel, amazing pool and beautiful views of Kefalonia.

From start to finish we had a fabulous stay at Dionysos. Check in was simple and we were made extremely welcome by the owners. The view from the hotel was fantastic, the accommodation was totally satisfactory and the pool was excellent with plenty of sunbeds...no necessity to leave a towel to get a bed!! The breakfast was ample and the meals we had in the hotel were very good with excellent service from Alex and Carlos. Nothing ever seemed to much trouble for any of the staff. The Greek night was entertaining with plenty of food and some excellent Greek dancing, The musical chairs was very funny. The hill is okay to walk and with taxi's for €5 from the strip it was never an issue. The local Makris Gialos beach was beautiful and the gentle slope into the sea made it suitable for all age groups. From our days out we really enjoyed Fiskardo and we spent a few hours on Myrtos beach which is stunning and breathtaking. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and our stay at Dionysos was brilliant. We will definitely look to return.

Amazing views and poolside to spend the days, only a ten minute walk from the beach with plenty of sun beds and beach bars. Also some nice sight seeing opportunities nearby making the daytime really enjoyable. Very close to lots of bars and restaurants too. The hill to get up to the hotel takes around 10 minutes and is very steep at some points, could not walk up it again after the first time so required getting a taxi every time, was ok to walk down it but only in comfortable footwear. The rooms are nice and spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of storage with a safe, although had no control over the air con, seemed to turn on and off and even blow hot air whenever it wanted. Although the rooms are large enough for a kitchenette, only a kettle and fridge is provided, as a self catering customer it would have been nice to have a few extra things such as cutlery, plates etc at the bare minimum. Toiletries, fresh bedding and towels were provided daily however coffee and tea was never topped up during our stay and it would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room upon arrival in 32 degrees. Service by all members of staff was excellent, everyone doing their best to make customers happy. Overall a lovely stay but a few things could be changed to make the hotel better value for money.

Great views from the hotel, good pool area and a well stocked bar. The walk up the hill was a bit of a climb. Good beaches near by too. Food at restaurants was very good and not bad prices.

I have to start by saying the view from our apartment was amazing! The balcony was very spacious so plenty of room to sit back and watch the sunrise and sunset.
The cleanliness of the room was to high standards and could not be faulted, fresh towels every day and bed sheets cleaned every other day.
The famous hill...we walked up and down it every day. It really wasn’t as bad as we thought it was going to be and the view is definitely worth all the steps.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
The only two negatives for us...
1. WiFi was shockingly bad, kept getting disconnected and didn’t connect in some parts of our apartment.
2. Dinner at the restaurant was quite limited, especially for us being vegetarians. the lunch menu was definitely better.
Overall we had a lovely and relaxing stay, just what we needed!

The views were beautiful and the staff was top knot CB! They even helped me get a cab for my partner as he got really sick traveling so needed meds. Will definitely recommend people to stay her next year when we get married

We’ve just got home from a wonderful stay at the Dionysos. The hotel is situated in a simply stunning location, the views are out of this world and the people that run the place are the friendliest and so welcoming. We stayed in one of the Superior Sea View rooms and we could not have asked for more. The rooms were cleaned everyday and new bedding and towels provided. The hotel itself is spotless, you can see the dedicated and hard work that goes in to maintaining the grounds; the rooms etc. In general the other parts of Kefalonia we visited were also spotless. The Pool Bar did the most amazing food too! We only wish we’d have booked to stay longer. The kids loved it and we are all in agreement that we’d love to come back. I’m not going to lie the hill is a killer, the kids managed it up once and made me promise never to make them walk up it again but down wasn’t too bad and a 5/6 Euro taxi was all it took (well worth it) to get back up it. A gem of a hotel!

First Time in Kefalonia and was not disappointed by this Resort. The breakfast was to die for and the entire resort was spotless a credit to the staff.Bar guy COSTA was amazing and nothing was an issue and happy to help with advice on different places. The only thing that was an issue for many people was that hill to get up to resort. If you had a car like us no problem but if you had to walk mmm

Excellent accommodation, views are stunning, set amongst beautiful gardens. Very clean, lovely staff, always helpful and friendly. Clean towels daily and sheets every other day. We had a one bedroom apartment with a huge furnished balcony, kettle and fridge also a Modern bathroom with shower. Resort of Lassi is a ten minute stroll down hill (get a taxi back up 6 Euro).

We loved the Dionysos and would definitely stay again. Accommodation was spacious and clean and the pool area was fabulous. Staff are friendly, helpful and just lovely! You are made very welcome by Mara as soon as you check in. It is located at the top of a hill so the views are beautiful. We walked down easily, walking back up was a bit of a challenge, but we did it! We jumped a cab up when it was dark. The food was really good at the pool bar and the restaurant. If I had to find one small negative, the WiFi can be a bit hit and miss. I would definitely recommend staying here and Kefalonia is just beautiful.

Had a week at Dionysos from 12-19th September 2017, and what a lovely week it was. We had a warm welcome as soon as we arrived, and all the staff were very friendly and proffesional throughout our stay. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and kept clean daily. The whole resort is pretty including the lovely pool area and also planted areas even some grape vines. And then theres the views ! As Dionysos is situated up a hill the views out to sea and across to Lixouri are stunning especially at sunset.
Thank you to all at Dionysos for a lovely stay.
