Breakfast was fair. Service in the restaurant was poor. Food was good.
Bedding is run down and old. Pillow covers are starting to disintegrate though clean. Parts of curtain was off the rail. Carpets not clean.

Location is perfect, central to most Maropeng venues. Room was cozy - lovely views and decent showers. Breakfast value for money. The luxury of having a massage on site was a bonus
When arriving for breakfast around 10ish - the juice and food was very low levels. So best to arrive a bit earlier.

Staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the museum which was walking distance. Room was good.
Limited food in restaurant - difficult to cater for food allergies.

The extra large bed very uncomfortable and no winter sheets or electric blanket since place is cold.

Service by stuff. They were very friendly.
We requested something special in our room because it was our honeymoon but nothing was done. It was very disappointing. Later we were informed that there was an extra charge for it. We wouldn't have minded paying it if we were told when we requested something special.

twin beds were too soft and a bit uncomfortable. pool area / decking need some maintenance and more attention from staff during the day when it’s busy. pool is tiny, but views are fabulous.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were also spacious and the electricity remained on mostly during load shedding.
The location is quite far to other ammeneties. Which is not a problem for a lovely getaway. But it does mean that the phone service is quite poor.

There were frogs at night. Oh my gosh
The bath was also very small, it does not accommodate tall people

Food is a bit pricey at the hotel restaurant

Excellent location; staff particularly friendly helpful and efficient but extra touch of knowledge would have been helpful e.g. spontaneous information about the area and what there is to do, provision of pamphlets, information about loadshedding schedule and information about how hotel handles it. Shortage of pamphlets about Maropeng and area generally so marketing is poor. Other than that everything excellent: everything clean and beautiful, decor and artwork outstanding, room comfortable, bathroom clean fresh modern artistically and well-decorated. Like fact that rooms were non-smoking. Enjoyed tea/coffee facility. Restaurant pleasant, good and reasonably priced.
Both positives and negatives included in the "likes" section so won't repeat here ( see "Likes" section). Would like to add that patio area could be improved - doesn't fit in with rest of accomodation but I suppose can't put too expensive furniture in outdoor, unfenced in area so don't see it as major disadvantage. That reminds me of one small thing I didn't like: the fact that people can walk past window/door and look into room. Although only happened 2 or 3 times during my 2-day stay, I did not like the fact that while I was lying on my bed watching TV, staff members walked past my room and glanced in.
