The restaurant /food was a shame. The breakfast was like a bad joke. Cold fried eggs, one type of cheese, cold tomato beans, one type of marmelade, cold coffee and Tee, and if you want something ells to drink included water you have to buy it as extra. I will never stay in this hotel anymore, and will tell people I know that go to Freetown to stay away from this. The madness was so hard so sleep on the floor would not make any difference.

The rooms are old and ACs don't work properly. The staff took so long to the request about the change of the room

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere but security is good and also staff have a hard time to use their credit card machine and that might take you 30 minutes to 45 minutes just to charge your card for a simple dinner

The TV in our room never worked but the staff were very professional and the restaurant food was good.

I was shocked to find out that a Sierra Leonean hotel would cater solely to Chinese customers. I bet no hotels in China would do the same. Where is the Sierra Leonean pride? Very limited local food, only Chinese foods. I changed rooms more than 3 times, due to infestations by what appeared to be termites. Breakfast was very poor. No pancakes, cheeses for omlets were very gooey. Management needs to understand that there are other customers at the hotel, apart from Chinese. Shout outs to the kitchen staff, including Kaday, Bah, Hassan, to name a few. The room attendant, Kaday was also very good. The hotel is quiet with a lot of potentials. Management needs to be more considerate and run the hotel like a facility in Sierra Leone, not like China. The Chinese need to adapt to the Sierra Leonean culture, including the food.

Stayed 4 nights for business purposes: not up to standards and not worth it. Shower drain clogged, wifi weak, room phone not connected, technicians unable to fix tv cable connection, closet door off the rail, no batteries for the safe, food quality questionable, dirty mirrors and doors throughout the hotel, etc etc... was offered a different room which had a deep stail smell of cigar smoke. In short poor quality control. Only positive aspect is quiet restful room. Stay elsewhere if you have the choice.

A mixture of experiences. Overall, the staff were great, helpful, nice, but quite slow/unorganized on delivering on certain services (e.g. laundry). The restaurant itself was not as clean as a restaurant should be (and should not forget to mention the mice that we saw running under the tables during dinner time) and food was mediocre. Inexpensive, but would rather pay a bit more to get decent quality elsewhere.

The bed was very hard, the hotel is extremely old. The number for the hotel on google is the number of their managers son. When I called in the morning of my arrival, the son was yelling at me for calling him. I told him this is the number on google and this is the number hotels.com gave to me. I didn't know how to get to the hotel from the airport since it was my first tim visiting. The breakfast buffet is the saddest buffet in history. Poor presentation and looks very disgusting. I ordered pancakes because I couldn't see myself eating what they served. The waiter brought me something that looks like deep fried dough. I asked the waiter what is this? She said it is African pancakes. I asked her what is African pancakes, please bring me a normal pancake. It took the kitchen an hour plus to bring me a normal pancake. I'm very dissappointed with this place. I will never in my life stay here again. You guys need to educate your staff, and fix your information on google and on your website

Everything was ok except for the mattress. I don't know whether they forgot and just left a box Spring without the mattress. Bed was too hard. I have back and neck pain which made it worst. Other than that it was ok.

The Bintumani is an excellent hotel to stay in if you're comfortable with paying extra for the wonderful amenities it offers while you're in Freetown. The luxurious quarters, super friendly and attentive staff, pool and views of the sea and magnificent sunsets from the hotel make it the optimal place to work in peace and or relax after a hard day's work in the busy city. It's set down on the peninsula, so removed from the busy city centre (which is easily and cheaply accessible by regular taxi or private car in about 20 minutes). The electricity tends to go off quite often, but they tend to turn the generators on quickly when that happens. There is one wing of the hotel that has a prevalence of mould (during the rainy season, when I was there, this is common in a lot of hotels), but you need only to ask for a room that is clear of that and you will be fine. Due to the nature of its owners and majority of their guests, the menu caters to the Chinese palate; however, there are some non-Chinese food options if you ask for them. Overall the food is very good, albeit much more expensive than what you will find elsewhere in Freetown. After all, with the Bintumani, it's all about location. Overall, I would rate it very good for the quality and comfort of the stay.

Located close to the Sea Coach Express Boat terminal coming from the airport. This hotels major emphasis is to cater to Chinese clientele. From the food served to the tv channels.
