The resort is amazing. Its extensive grounds are beautiful. The villa we stayed in was lovely and comfortable. The staff were all wonderful.
We did experience an ongoing issue with, at times, no hot water in the shower. The staff did their best to fix the issue.
The only other downside was that despite the resort description stating you can walk places from the resort this is untrue. The road from the resort is very narrow, steep, winding and extremely busy. The resort does offer a free shuttle 3 times a day and taxis are easily available.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Visesa

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and surrounded with lush green plantations. On the back side of hotel there is a beautiful rice plantation. The manager and the staffs provide excellent service and goes above and beyond. Definitely a 5 star out 5. Will definitely recommend this hotel to family and coworkers

We loved our stay at Visesa! Absolutely stunning, tranquil grounds, super friendly and attentive staff, comfortable room, though a tad outdated, great massage therapists, and wonderful breakfast buffet. Only a mile outside of Ubud town center so we were able to walk to everything so great location as well. The gardens and rice fields were so peaceful and calm!

The staff is friendly. The environment is good. There are many flowers and rice field in this resort. The Villa is clean and well maintained. But it is not closed to downtown Ubud, we need to take a shuttle to there.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Visesa. The moment we arrived, we felt so attended to. Besides warmly greeting us and assisting us with checkin, the staff also offered to perform a welcome blessing ritual for us and suggestions on what we could do around the resort.
The jungle room we booked was spacious, clean, quiet and peaceful. I liked that the resort paid attention to details, from providing fresh bath salt daily to changing only the necessary bath and floor towels. So I felt like we did our part in being eco-friendly, without comprising on luxury and comfort. The resort also has padi fields, a garden, farm animals making an appearance in the morning, spa and activities all day. So there’s always something for us to do.
We also enjoyed the dinner at Lumbung restaurant that’s situated just within the resort compounds, and features a mini natural waterfall at the al fresco area. Even the staff here were friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

Perfection down to the details. Incredible movie-esque villas, warm and immaculate service, every one of our needs was zealously met. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Honestly for the price, I felt that the property was a little overrated. Breakfast was really good, and service was as well. We weren’t a fan of the bathroom being outside, as we’d get bitten by mosquitos while doing anything. Furthermore, the hot water is limited by a hot water tank, and after that, there’s no more hot water, which is inconvenient. Lastly, because the bathroom is outside, you can hear your neighbors doing their business, and they can hear you. We had a case where our neighbor was blasting their music and we could hear it.

Our welcome reception was surprisingly awesome-we received a blessing and some refreshing drink…our air conditioner broke the first night but the staff fixed problem the next morning…we rode the bikes…the landscape of the hotel is so relaxing and beautiful…I will definitely recommend this property to family and friends…

We stayed in a lap pool villa and it was amazing, A beautiful view of a little river behind it. Just the two of us which was an extravagance but the lap pool won out. The property has to be seen to be believed, gorgeous walks around a paddy field and huge with stunning flower gardens water and lotus lillies

Unforunately this hotel was a bit underwelming, the hotel was nice but for the price we paid we thought it was a little overpriced. The pool was freezing cold, and the fountains were so loud it was difficult to sleep, so recommend you ask to turn it off.
They seem to have an issue with animals however, we had a private villa, and on the first night we had an animal (gekco) poo on our bed (we should've shut the curtains around the bed). They sent someone to clean it which was nice. However, this proceeded to happen for two more days even thought we kept the doors shut the entire time. On the 3rd night we got a massive insect, which was making a lot of noise, the hotel sent someone to get rid of it, however he was laughing and saying it's nothing they've had to remove snakes before.
In the morning of the day we were checking out, I was woken up at 2am to noises of rattling around in the roof but I couldn't tell what it was. Then at 6am, a frog hopped up on to the bedside table (even though we've had our doors shut the entire time), then hopped off. 15 minutes later a mouse feel from the roof into our suitcase, and we had to call the reception for the 3rd time and they sent 3 people round to our room, and eventually got the mouse.
We've since seen other reviews, about animal issues and it doesn't seem like they were taking it seriously. For the villa that we stayed in there seems to be a gap between the wall and the roof, which needs to be closed up so animals can't get in.

One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed while on vacation. We had a 2 bedroom, infinity pool villa which was mind blowing! The pool was big enough to swim laps in and the rooms were gigantic. Each bedroom had indoor and outdoor showers. The best part of this resort is the amazing staff. Their caring and friendliness is unmatched and genuine. The Balinese people are naturally gentle, soft spoken and never without a smile. The Visesa staff is consistent with their immediate greetings with the namaste pose. We enjoyed the awesome spa for a couples massage and also did the picnic in the fields which was one of the most over the top experiences. Costing barely $50 total, we were pampered and served a huge meal under a shady tree in the beautiful fields. Highly highly recommend the Visesa Ubud Resort. A slice of heaven and paradise in Bali!

Property looks nice from outside and nice setup but poor maintenance. Smelly bathroom, everything breaks when you touch in the room, ants in the toilet. Overall, look and feel at the property is nice and different but they need to improve the quality of the rooms, especially the top end Villa's, where we stayed.

Lovely staff, just had too many lizards there as well as got to see a snake there.

The stay at Visesa was outstanding. Very beautifully kept landscape, unique hotel activities, and the staff was top notch - Suan, Gus adi, Yayo, Rasmiani, nuri, Ardi and Sinta just to name a few! We would absolutely recommend a stay here, and plan to visit again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The resort is big, beautiful and quiet. It has a rice field in the center with gazebo and other props, which makes for great photo shoot. The serenity gives you the countryside feeling. Staff are super friendly and attend to your every needs. They have bikes you can borrowed to ride around within the property and a scheduled free shuttle to and from Ubud Centre daily. The only downside is the room needs more dressers for you to store away your things. A chair inside the room would be nice too.

A beautiful place to stay, a calm oasis near the centre of Ubud. Our villa was incredible and the service superb.

Great friendly staff, especially Yayu. Beautiful area inside and outside the resort. Cleanliness could be improved with regular cleaning. Unfortunately had a bat and geiko in the room and front desk staff didn’t care at all to make it right.

Loved our stay here!!
Quiet, relaxing, close to town but away from the crowds
Shuttle bus 3x/day to take you downtown
Great, kind, genuine, helpful staff! Made our stay great.
Room service was great as well, their traditional Indonesian cuisine restaurant called Lumbung was really good.
Only critique if any, would be quality of breakfast, not bad at all but not to die for.
We would definitely come back here again and again, it's therapy for the mind.

If you're looking for a 5 stars resort experience, this might not be the place for you!
I'll say first that the rooms are beautiful. The grounds are green and well taken care of.
With that said, the pool is tiny with 4 beds and two umbrellas. No pool attendance. You'll have to find the towels and clean the pool from leaves and bugs if you'd like to swim in it.
The breakfast was very poor selection.
And if you get there when it's busy, you'll have to constantly ask whats up with your order of eggs or coffee....
It took us more then half an hour every day to get the omlet we ordered.
Definitely not worth the top $ you'll pay for this place....
Needless to say, we won't be back !

The property is a nice distance from the busy centre of Ubud. If you are looking for a quiet holiday to get away and be surrounded by natural rice fields and green gardens then it is a great place to stay. Would highly recommend the traditional Indonesian restaurant. We had a two bedroom villa with private pool which was well maintained and clean. Thankyou to all the staff.

The staff are amazing! Always greet and ready to help in any way to make your stay comfortable. The only thing I would say to add extra comfort is mosquito coils around the outdoors to starve away the mozzies and better toiletries. The soaps and shampoos could have been better

Overall the staff was the highlight of the stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to our needs and try their best to make us happy. Although customer service was great, I wish the property would do a a better job enforcing sick policy. There were many staff who have shown many sick symptoms, but did not wear a mask. I understand that we are trying to get back to normal, however keeping staff and guests healthy should be a priority. Preventive is key and we should be all be mindful the guest and staff to ensure we are able to enjoy our holiday!

We had a unique experience at Visesa. Loved the pool decor and pool breakfast. I was celebrating my Birthday and they came after the decorations to sing happy Birthday to me. The staff at the property is amazing. The room is just like the pictures I rented a private villa and it surpass my expectations.

Gorgeous property. Stayed in the family suite which although they say can only fit max 3 people, are large and spacious accommodating my 4 person family. Staying on the resort is staying in your own lux jungle retreat. It's nice and quiet in this jungle retreat. Breakfast is a dream serving a buffet of Malayasian and American food. There is a shuttle going down to town if a 15-30 min walk doesn't suit you but it only comes x4 times a day.
If you desire a day to stay on the resort, there's much to do from hanging at the pool, visiting the gym, taking an agriculture tour, taking a fitness class, or enjoying any of the 3 restaurants on the property, or just strolling around the gorgeous property.
If I were to go back again, I would definitely head back to this amazing resort.

We were celebrating our honeymoon and are so glad we chose Visesa. From our welcome blessing, to the swans and flowers on our bed, our stay was nothing short of paradise. The hotel is off the beaten path - away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud - with its own oasis of rice patties and natural beauty. We would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Ubud in the future.
