Only 1 person doing checkin with 20 people in line so checkin took 1/2 hour. I thought like most people that If I checked it on my phone the checkin would go more quickly. Nope for some reason that was a waste of time and I had to redo everything again with hotel employee.
The room was clean and a nice bar out back and breakfast was ok.

I waited for a long time to check in as the person in front of me was slow, but the attendant never acknowledged me or made eye contact with me until she was done:(
The hotel is old, the pool area is dated and our room smelled like stale cigarettes from the A/C unit. I should have taken poolside at least the chlorine would have been better than the stale cigarette smell. One of the bed's linens was so scratchy that my daughter slept on top in her clothes.
Went down to breakfast and there was nothing my daughter or I could or would eat as it was all bread & Cereal - nothing fresh. Stopped at the front desk which was empty but some random man standing to the side asked me if I was checking out and took my key - I'm hoping he works there.
The hotel felt like a much cheaper hotel but unfortunately, it wasn't cheap. We reserved this room because of the photos and the Wyndham name - greatly disappointed by both.

I would stay here again but the front desk lady (her name was Karen, literally) was such a grouch. We arrived in early and she acted like I was the worst thing that ever happened to her. As far as the hotel: I love the layout of the “pool view” rooms. We were here for a team even so we were all really close to each other and the pool was the main attraction. Picture the pool view rooms hotel part as a donut, the pool is the “donut hole” there is a restroom with a shower near the pool area however you need your keycard to enter it which became obnoxious with wet 3 kids. The pool itself was fun, included towels, but I do wish the pool would have the chemicals balanced better. As a pool owner I was hesitant because the water was very cloudy and a green/teal color rather that clear/blue.
IMO the soda vending machine is totally overpriced. I mean come on this isn’t Disney. Overall I’m excited for our return trip next year, don’t be off out by the hotels exteriors it looks shabby but really it is not a bad stay. As far as sleep the mattress and the really firm ones where you can feel every spring.

Dirty, loud, gross! I had adjoining rooms but didn’t know the folks next door! It was like strangers were in my living room hanging out! I did get moved after the first night but only because I seriously complained. They did have a nice hot tub but, all of the screaming children were in there, even though it said no children under the age of 6….. breakfast was Meh, pool was ok, room was bad. Will never stay again

Our third time here in the last 4 weeks. Only once was check in staff even friendly. This last time, we stopped early, just to see if the room happened to be ready, if not we’d have come back. Desk staff said to me that policy said we couldn’t check in til 1. It was quarter to, so I said to the family, get the stuff on the cart, if it takes less than 15 minutes we will have a seat and wait. (The lobby was empty, there were several chairs, a tv on, fireplace and computer with more seating) the desk lady audibly huffed and started pounding the keyboard and THEN said check in was 130 at the earliest and “we can’t have you sitting out here”. “ just check in” I told her “if you don’t want us here we will leave” she said “your rooms ready just check in”
I worked front desk of a hotel for years and have traveled often, NEVER have I experienced such terrible “hospitality” staff.
If she would have said we can’t check you in til 130 at first we’d have left and come back no problem, I understand that. She said 1, then said we couldn’t sit in the lobby a couple minutes?? What are the comfy chairs, tv, fireplace and computer for??
The rest of the staff were great, last weekend in particular, one older front desk lady was wonderful.
Room is dated but clean, pool area is great. We are here almost every weekend visiting our special needs son who is living at a facility here for about a year. He loves this place. But after that front desk interaction, not sure if we will be back

Room was clean. Adequate for our needs. Wish the pool had been a bit warmer, the 3 yo shivered a lot. But overall every one had fun. Would stay there again.

We have stayed here several times as our oldest kiddo goes to UWL. We love the addition of free breakfast and the pool area is fantastic for our family! However, this time our room was not very clean at all. Not sure if it wasn’t rented for a while, but the entertainment center was covered in dust, the bathroom floor was dirty along with the toilet and the fridge froze all of our food. I know everyone is short staffed and hope that from now on rooms will get inspected if they haven’t been used in a while.

An amazing hotel! The pool area was so kid friendly and was right by your room!

The pool is only 3 1/2 feet deep, so all 5 grandkids loved it! It was unfortunate that I had to get 2 rooms so they could all swim together. There is a limit of 5 wristbands per room.

This hotel was NOT worth $249.00 per night. Room was next the pool and the smell of the chlorine was awful making it very very humid for my sinuses.
Frozen Breakfast was Jimmy Dean sandwich's sausage and egg. Microwave kept on loosing power!! A sign nearby said please only take one? After paying that huge amount maybe a $150.00 per night may have made it a little better, not sure if I can get a discount. I was there for a 50th University reunion, I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my lifetime and this one was a disappointment.
I don’t want this posted I don’t believe in stuff like that. I wish it could it been better.

Our room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. The pool was said to be open untill 11 pm, but a staff member came around the pool area at 9:30 pm telling everyone we had an hour left in the pool area. That cut our time down a half an hour. The beds were not very comfortable, but they were clean. The breakfast was alright. They had pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, cereal, muffins and toast.

The hotel was fine. The pool looked pretty nice but didn’t have time to use it. Rooms with pool views are pretty noisy but understandable for that. The breakfast was pretty disappointing not many options and they lost electricity on the bar so nothing was really working for hot options. Otherwise the room was very nice and clean easy to find your room and park close by a close door.

Once I was checked in and hauled myself along with my 5 yo granddaughter and both our luggage to our room we realized that the room key cards had not been activated. I can’t leave her or our luggage in the hallway so I had to schlep it all back to the front desk and then back to the room again. Keep in mind that this is a large spread out property.
Issue #2: There were way too many people already at the pool so there was no way we were going to enjoy that. We’ll go back in the morning after breakfast.
#3: I’ve stayed here before when they had a waffle maker but no, now they have a really slow pancake maker. Of course there were kids making themselves 8 pancakes (no way they were going to eat all those!) at a time so it took forever just to get a couple for us.
Let’s get back to the pool as soon as it opens and beat the rush! Wishful thinking. We had the hot tub for about 5 seconds before we were joined by at least a dozen kids so we got outta there! The pool wasn’t any better so that was about I could take. Not sure we’ll ever stay there again.

Our second trip here in the past couple of months. Just a first class place to stay. Nice location, nice rooms and a great pool. Highly recommend!

The hotel is located by the river so that is beautiful. Hotel is renovated on the inside so dont let the outside sway you. The pool area is cute but wish the hottub was a bit bigger to hold more adults.

Its nice the pool had a slide and hoops and got a room right by the pool. Convenient for kids! Breakfast was good, just wish they had some sort of fruit.

The bed was so hard my hips were sore. There was a used fork in one of the drawers used for clothing and uneaten food parts in it. There was hair (not ours) all over the bathroom.

The only things favorable to say was affordable; front desk staff was courteous and professional, & close proximity to family event we attended in Lacrosse. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. We found an apple and cheese on floor behind nightstand and candy wrappers on floor at bedside; headboards extremely dusty; heater/AC unit very noisy. Coffee for breakfast luke warm and weak, like warm dishwater, only 1 breakfast sandwich per person. No. elevator. Was not offered a credit card receipt since booked through 3rd party so I don't even know how much I was charged. I am thinking I may have been double charged-upon checking in was told "no not charged" so I gave my credit card then upon checkout was told was charged and did not owe anything. -Please clarify.

It's a nice fairly quiet property. We can swim if we want. Our room was nice. It's not right downtown, but we just caught Lyfts and all was good

We usually love staying at this hotel, but we were very disappointed this trip. We stayed because we love the music and bar Moxies, but it was a big disappointment. No music, no spotted cow, and the bartender closed early, stating she needed to get home to get dog. There were 17 others in the bar and last call was at 10:30. I’m not one to usually leave negative reviews, but the shower curtain had what appeared to be blood all over it, with holes as well. The breakfast has sandwiches you heat in the microwave and cereal. We didn’t eat it our entire stay. It was our anniversary weekend and I definitely wish we would of just stayed downtown. $450 for two nights was very high. Not sure if we will return.
