The swimming pools were spotless and warm.

A fantastic base to explore Victoria Falls from. High quality facilities and friendly helpful staff

Excellent resort for a visit to Victoria Falls and attraction in the surrounding area. Good breakfast. Local tour and transportation booking office. Friendly staff. Very few mosquitoes during daylight hours. Once in room, only had to contend with a few tiny ants and gnats. One downside is that there are no chairs or desk in the room to work on. They also could provide a few more hangers, than the 5 we had. Overall excellent. Would stay again.

Loved it. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Only weird thing the WIFI when it came to payment was not working twice in the three days when I needed to pay the tab at the end of the day and they usually couldn’t make change when paying fill, even when using a $20.00 bill. Staff digging in their pockets for change. It was a wonderful place close to the falls. Rooms were very good wish they had a fridge

Beautiful place with a relaxed atmosphere and a short walk to the falls.

The room was very comfortable, despite the spiders! There is no TV or fridge, but I managed. The only difficulty I encountered was with the staff and being charged twice for a transfer. The hotel said it was a miscommunication but didn't seem to know the general rule whereby the hotel bears the cost of that. They tried to offload it to me. But ultimately relented. It left a sour taste. The breakfast was good. The pool is very nice.

Overall was good, but the food service is very slow. We had a tour to Chobe NP, we told the kitchen service that we needed to park breakfast before 7am, but we were waiting and waiting and could not get the food until after 7am. The eggs we had in the box was not cooked enough and one of our people was not feeling well after easing that eggs.

We enjoyed the relaxed feel of this property. It was clean and had a resort feel in pool/bar area. This is not a Marriott type or Victoria Falls Hotel type of property but a good value for the money. Easy walking distance to bridge and other eating establishments.

Good location for the falls and other activities. They were really helpful at organising activities. Outlook from the rooms to the back of the neighbouring properties was unappealing. Not shown like this in the accomodation websites.
2 of each beverage item (tea and coffee) in the room for the cost of the room was very stingy.

Great place to stay in Vic Falls. Lots of local vendors near by. They do hassle you a bit more than I like, but still a great location. I had a medical issue and they had a doctor there right away that was able to treat and cure my condition with an injection and medications. The service was remarkable and not grossly expensive. Staff at hotel very helpful and the hotel itself is very nice and comfortable.

We had a great stay here. Walkable to the falls and the craft market, nice restaurant, nice rooms. Reasonably priced.

Highly recommended, really enjoyed my 2 nights.
Only 10 min fast walk to the Zimbabwe entrance to the Victoria Falls national park, amazing views of the falls. I also did a round trip walk to the Zambian national park, toal 12km including all the sights on the Zambian side. Well worth it.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff at reception, the restaurant seemed a bit less well organised and the odd person was less friendly.

From the moment I arrived I was looked after and made to feel welcome. The pool area and bar were perfect for relaxing and the food was excellent.
It was an easy walk to the Falls and arranging trips was easy too.

Okay hotel. Most of the staff is nice; however, there are a number of extremely rude staff members that runined the overall stay.

This is a little piece of heaven. I would rate this place 5star. All staff are so friendly and helpful. The little bungalows are so lovely and comfortable. Serviced morning and evening!
Lovely pool. Very safe area to explore the village and shops.
Shearwater helped us with transfers and some amazing activities/experiences. I am definitely going back to this beautiful place.

A very nice budget hotel. The bungalows are new and in good shape but very small. It is wonderfully located in the middle of it all so it’s very easy to walk to town, shopping, restaurants and the Falls. There are some good items on the menu and the staff were very nice.

1 mile walk to victoria falls. Excellent location. Another 1/2 mile to walk over the bridge to Zambia. Property nice. Pool great. Staff great. Mosquito nets over your bed at night, restaraunt on property too.

15 mins walk to Victoria Falls. Very clean room albeit small. Excellent staff, beautiful property. You leave keys to them when you’re out so they can come and spray anti bug spray late afternoon.

I upgraded from a tent to a lodge which was very comfortable and clean, however there was no hairdryer in the room. You have to ask at Reception for a hairdryer and then they only have a limited number, of which they had run out! A hairdryer seems a very basic requirement for the standard of room. Also the "spa" doesn't seem very hygienic. Nice that they offer this service however I don't think they cleaned manicure/pedicure tools between customers.

There are tours staying here. I booked an extra night here after my tour. Lodge has large areas for dining, 2 bars, nice pool area and front porches on individual units
Decor inside and grounds were in great shape.
Safes & coffee bar are a nice convenience in rooms.
Front desk staff was super helpful & appreciated.
Location is quiet & convenient easy walk to Moma Africa dining.
Shearwater books all activities in area & airport tranfers or taxi.

Everything was fabulous from check in to check out. Breakfast was excellent with quick service. Friendliest staff you'll ever meet! Room was decent size with plenty of storage, lots of hot water. You can drink the tap water, that was a huge bonus!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shearwater. The rooms, gardens, common areas, restaurant and bar area were all so well appointed - it was truly delightful. The staff were super polite, friendly and helpful. The shower was amazing - both in decor and water pressure. The breakfast was great too. We had a great time and couldn't ask for better.

I can't say enough positive things about this hotel! The grounds are beautiful and rooms clean. The staff is phenomenal, so incredibly helpful and accommodating. We only stayed one night, but were wishing we'd booked a longer stay!

Do not book this hotel. I am a travel agent not only did they not discount my room or Tours they short changed us in every way possible. This place will nickel and dime you to death. I booked three tours through this hotel and like the Safari says 5 1/2 hours we barely got two hours. The walking tour of Victoria falls was a 2 1/2 hour tour we only got one and a half hours. The sunset cruise was nice. I know three of these tours unbeknownst to us, they charge us additional fees in cash, even to go on the sunset cruise we had to pay them an additional $10 per person and we watched them pocket it. All of the Safari‘s they try to collect an additional $30 but yet their website says nothing of it. When I tried to sit down and have a conversation about this disappointment with the head manager, they turned it around and put all the blame on me and literally brought me to tears. I highly recommend you stay as far away from this hotel as possible.

Great in terms of location and staff friendliness. However, several small things detracted from our stay. Reception requested a copy of our booking at check in because they didn’t know what kind of room we had booked! No information was given on restaurant times or where to find pool towels until we specifically asked. We also discovered that the bar and restaurant was pay-as-you-go, as they did no credit card hold on arrival (a physical card or cash was needed as tap and pay was unavailable). We were shown to our room then 5 mins later we were asked to move rooms because they had just notice our room door was broken (shouldn’t house keeping have noticed prior to our arrival). Both our first and second rooms had light bulbs out (2 of 6 in both rooms). Our king bed had queen sized sheets which didn’t tuck in at the sides, the concrete floors and woven floor mats were absolutely filthy (I chose to wear flip flops the entire time). There was also no hair dryer or iron/ironing board, and while appreciate that Covid has caused hard times in the hospitality industry, the fact that there was no fridge in any room (we asked), and no phone to contact the front desk (we basically had to walk to reception any time we had a question or request) is unacceptable for the price we paid. This hotel should be wonderful, but maintenance and amenities have clearly been allowed to slip. Such a shame for such an attractive and well located property.
