It was clean but it is old. My biggest problem was hearing through the wall someone snoring. In order to use the bathroom you have to stand on the toilet just to shut the door. Its small but it was fine for my needs. The campfire outside was fun. It was col but being outside was a nice change.

Our reserved room was not reserved when we arrived and they had no room for us. Will be watching that we are not charged.

Overall this is a fairly pleasant place to stay. The bed had a bit of a dip but this is very common now. I did not get the best night’s sleep as the lighting outside my room was too bright, not turned off at night, and the curtains didn’t block it out. The breakfast was fairly minimal but on par with offerings at other motels.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. Just like a nice 2 bedroom apartment. The price was quite reasonable, the owners helpful and friendly, and the setting quiet and beautiful if you like pine forests. Didn't feel like it was in town, more like the country. My wife and I stayed with a friend, which made the cost, split 2 ways, more than reasonable. Highly recommended.

There were a lot of mosquitos around. The breakfast was nearly not existing and the bed was too soft for our taste. But we liked that it was a very quiet stay and also a cozy hotel.

The room is very small, but it’s not the worst thing, the whole room smells stinky and strange, I was not able to sleep for a long time. The shower room is tiny as well, barely move around to get things done. The breakfast is very very very basic, no hot, fresh made food except coffee is hot…

Since we arrived so long after last key pick up, it was great having the ability to show up, pick up our room key from a box and get right to bed. No interaction, other than a phone call, with staff, but they made the check-in and check-process very easy! Will definitely return the next time we visit family here 😊

This is a quaint ma & pa motel. We stayed during the Sturgis rally and it was reasonably priced and safe. We are not rally goers, just passing through so we really appreciated this soft place to land for a night.

The property is rated exceptional??? We had 2 rooms! The rooms are small hard to move around. The bathrooms are tiny small, had a bad odor. The breakfast area is a dirty table in the corner of the little reception area with the smallest microwave and few paper cups, the advertised continental breakfast starting at 7:00 am is non existent; we left at 7:15am, the reception area was locked with nobody around.

This was the last stop on our 10-day road trip and was a perfect way to end our vacation! This place is nothing fancy, but it's clean and welcoming. I felt like Opie or Aunt Bea would be stopping by any time to say Hello. If you're looking for all the modern amenities, this is not your place. But if you're looking for a quiet relaxing place to unwind for a time, The Pines Country Inn will do the trick.

My wife and I love staying at quaint off the main road motels. We especially love the "retro" motels of the 50's and 60's (1950's and 60's for you youngins). This was a pleaser. Friendly Owner and personalized attention. We even got to ride out a pretty good hail storm there.

There was no room available when I arrived.... Suggested a more expensive alternative. Haven't got my money back yet. Terrible experience and I'm very disappointed with Pine Inn Newcastle.

It was a very Quaint and retro looking place. Everything was perfect and very comfortable. Management was more than helpful and very professional. The only downside was that if you were not familiar with the area it was not easy to find.
