Overall the hotel was very nice and the staff was absolutely amazing. The amenities are great. The hotel was a little musty smelling and slightly dated in appearance. It could a remodel.

Great central location. Nice to have a restaurant and laundry facilities plus a gas station right with in the same complex.

This was a one night stay after arriving in Portland. Said it was near the airport but was actually not very close. It was pretty much a truck stop. BUT…the room was great, the staff were great, and the amenities were quite good. Aside from not being as close to PDX as we thought, it was a nice stay.

Very good pick up service to and from the airport, rooms were very nice. Breakfast was good, not great but nice selection

Very nice rooms. Our room was comfortable and clean. The shower was white, not dingy:)

I check in late in the evening, the front desk staff where friendly and accommodating. The room was VERY clean. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious. My stay was quiet as I heard very little noise from other guest as the enter and exited the rooms. All the furniture was in great shape and clean

A no frills super clean room with very comfortable beds. Excellent value with access to restaurant & bar if you don’t have time to venture out. Very pleased for a one night stop. 😁

Clean rooms, great breakfast, convenient stores, accommodating service.

Your place was not what we were expecting. Yes it is a truck stop but much more quiet with full services including a deli, restaurant, theater and lounge. The homeless situation was not what others described. We enjoyed our 2 night stay. We enjoyed Portland!

Staff was friendly and check in went smoothly. Our room was clean and quiet on the backside of the property with nice amenities. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The a/c was a little noisy and regulating the temp in the room a bit difficult but we figured it out. Our room overlooked a section of roof and another business so we didn’t have any kind of a view. This is a great place for traveling with a dog. There’s plenty of areas to walk and there’s a doggie cleanup station on the lawn in front of the hotel. Like so many areas in Portland, there were homeless camps set up across the street so walking your dog at night in this area would not be advised. Having a gas station, convenience store and restaurant on the property was perfect for us. We make several trips to Portland each year and have decided this will be our go to location when traveling with our dog.

We were delighted with this stay. This is in fact a truck stop, we did not know this was in Portland. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was great. The bed was comfortable. We did not hear any noise from trucks or traffic. It is close to a lot of things to do and see.

We booked The Portlander because of its proximity to some friends we were visiting. We were surprised to find it had everything to offer. Having the very good restaurants onsite was a huge plus. The breakfasts were good, the rooms were clean and updated, and the beds were comfortable. What more could you ask for?

Customer service was very good while there. I did get double charged for my room which my bank account wasn't prepared for. But it was eventually remedied. Really liked the large tv in the room. Also liked that there is a cinema, a deli, a convenient store and a bar in the same building. Breakfast is a coupon for a meal from limited menu from restaurant on premises. We were excited for that but really did not like the food so only ate a couple bites and the toast

Stayed in order to go to an event at the Portland expo. The distance was just right to be able to access the expo easily, although if you're trying to get there during rush hour, avoid the highway 😂 staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and beds were fine (it's my own bad neck that is the problem.) I appreciated the breakfast options. Would stay here again

Fantastic room with a great big bathtub, the hotel has a market, movie theatre, and more! Definitely a recommendation to stay here.

The hotel overall was very nice, however the offer of free breakfast was a sham. I then contacted hotel.com, which encouraged the hotel to do better. However, the changes the hotel made, increased my reluctance to eat at the in-house restaurant. This sham put a damper on my trip and I booked the next 4 nights w/another company and felt safe again after new hotel check-in.

The employees were so friendly and helpful. The room was a great value. There was a restaurant, bar, cinema, market, post office, and coin laundry all on site.

Arrived after midnight with my teenage daughter and was greeted by a friendly desk attendant. Was able to pop into the market for a couple of sandwiches to eat before hitting the sack. We had just gotten off a four hour flight.
Clean room. Quiet. Nice shower. Got up early…were the first ones in the breakfast restaurant where we had a great waitress and good food which was covered under our hotel voucher. All of the Marketplace employees I spoke with were very friendly. Had to ask where breakfast was served.
Suited our purposes perfectly.

The hotel is clean and we were a family of 6. None of us had a complaint! Would recommend if you’re looking for quiet, comfortable and clean!!

The hotel obviously caters to truckers and that’s fine. The rooms were clean. The climate control was horrible. I had to manually change between heat and AC throughout the night. Would have been nice to have a fan option. Beds were super soft but not comfy. I thought it was closer to the airport. It was fine but not “exceptional”

The Portlander is definitely a surprise. For the price, I don't know if I've come across a more pleasant, clean, handy, freeway-accessible hotel in years, if ever. There's a lot of 'activity' in the surrounding area, but this place is an oasis from all that when you need a break from I-5. It's a truck stop, but you'd never know from the style and comfort of the updated rooms. Restaurants, bars, a movie theater, convenience store, laundry, are all attached.

Pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Portlander Inn. There are so many Hotels to choose from in the same price range with free oarking and breakfast, all around Portland. (downtown, Jansen Beach, Vancouver, Airport, etc.) Chose this one because it's associated with a truck stop and we had a trailer with all of our kayak fishing gear on it.
With all the issues (vagrants, addicts, encampments) going on in Portland (and most big cities), the Portlander inn has covered the issue with extremely bright exterior lighting, and several security guards walking the lot all night. We parked in front where the 24 hour frint desk clerk could see it.
The included breakfast is awesome and fresh cooked to order.
It's not a great place to walk around in fact there aren't really any other shops, restaurants or bars around. We didn't care as we had a car and were planning to try some of the wonderful foods and the different neighborhoods around Portland. And uts about 7-15 mins from just about everything Portland has to offer.
All the staff; housekeeping, front desk, restaurant, gas station attendant are extremely friendly and helpful.
You don't really need to leave since everything you need is there in the massive building. Restaurant, bar, fudge counter, snack shop, sandwich shop, convenience store with walk in beer fridge, laundromat, movie theater (no joke), truck museum, etc.
We would definately stay again.

Slow check in .

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, price and reviews. The check in process was good and the room was clean and updated. The walls between the rooms are thin and it was very loud all throughout the night and we didn’t sleep much at all. The proximity to the airport was further away than we thought it would be. This hotel seemed to be a party hotel and not good for families wanting a good night sleep before traveling. I will never come back to this hotel or recommend it to anyone.

The staff that work at this property are AMAZING! I needed a car service early in the morning and when I went to the lobby to confirm that it would arrive on time, the phone rang. It was the staff member who I spoke to originally who was not even working. She called her coworker to make sure that the car was ordered. The car had already been scheduled, but she wanted to check to make sure it would arrive on time. I have never had so many nice people take care of me like the staff at this hotel!

I loved everything about this property. The only thing I see in necessity for is to start recycling.

I like the everything you needed was on the property. Had a little convenience store. Had two restaurants. Had easy safe parking. And the gas station.

Loved this place-with a deli, restaurants and a laundry, really a one stop shop, excellent for a road trip. Very sweet service everywhere in the complex. Very Impressed.

I’ve stayed twice and both times all the staff have been so friendly and helpful. The front desk, the housekeeping, the bar staff, those in the diner and the shuttle driver were all wonderful. The marketplace has everything that you need, the free breakfast is so tasty and the bar is very good. We didn’t have time to try the in-house cinema but maybe next time.

Very nice and helpful staff. Room was in great condition and very clean. Apparently hotel is a hit with the trucker community, so a lot of nice guests. Please note that Hotels.com states it is located less than 3 miles from PDX Airport. This is incorrect, it's 8.1 miles. How about some accuracy on your part Hotels.com?
