Everything was lovely! The room was spotless with really good air conditioning and very comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely smelling soaps and shampoo great shower
The staff were really nice and helpful!
The on-site bar was really nice and the bartender made me a special cocktail to his recommendation which was such a lovely touch. The faculties such as spa areas and the beach club again were absolutely fantastic. Well priced too! All staff were always happy to help. A truely magical stay. Thank you hope to come back some time!

Lovely hotel, located in a back street and very close to all amenities. Initial room was fine but we were woken early in the morning by the generator which kicked in due to a power cut. In fairness to the manager, we were moved to a room on the other side of the building. This room was of a higher standard than our booked one, which we had not expected but very much appreciated. All staff were extremely nice. Spa facilities were very relaxing, presumably if you want to swim then the outdoor pool in the summer is the thing to do. All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended.

Not recommended:/ 1. The pictures do not reflect the situation today, the hotel requires serious maintenance. 2. The round outdoor pool that you see in the picture isn't part of the hotel at all but is located down the street about 5 minutes walk and is closed now.
3. Disgraceful service!! We arrived at the hotel in the evening and even before we went up to the room we understood that our room was right on the construction of the building next door:/ we asked an exchange but were told that the hotel is full and it will be possible only on the next day. We had no choice but to go up to the room (2nd floor facing the road) and at midnight it turned out that the toilets isn't working, we called the reception and after 15 minutes waiting they asked us to change to a different room 7th floor not facing the construction, suddenly they had a different room😳
4. No water pressure in the shower ( impossible to shampoo!)
5. The filter in the faucet is missing so the water splashes everywhere.
6. There is tea in the room but there is no kettle and although we asked several times it was not provided.
We asked for a kettle 3 timthere are toilets in the room but no kettle). In short, bad service.
The one good thing was the small indoor pool, where you can activate jacuzzi streams, (actually it's more like a big jacuzzi than a pool that can fit2-4)..

We were allocated a disabled room for some reason and we just accepted this as assumed the hotel was busy. However from my observation it wasnt.
The room was large enough and the space was not fully utlised.
Limited lighting in room so doing make up and hair was a little difficult.
The quality is 10. However due to limited facilities in room overall not great.
the restaurant food was top quality could not fault it.
Steam room and sauna was ok, temp was not great did report to maintenance.

The surrounding was under construction and I did not think the city would be so hilly, wich was inconvenient for my mother, that is disabled.

The people is what made it for me. Everyone was warm and welcoming even when problems arose. They listened, were attentive, but also respected privacy. Thank you all very much for your warm welcome to Malta!

The staff in the front office were very helpful, in particular Francesca who helped us to complete our chick in with Air Malta. The hotel is quiet and suitable for older people like us. There is a good variety of food on display for breakfast but unfortunately the dinner menu is quite limited (and expensive) I would certainly go back to this hotel again.

Room size and cleanliness were perfect. Service was excellent, reception staff and cleaning staff.
Some feedback we think would make our stay even better
- hooks for the bedroom
- written instructions on how adjust air corn / ability to change as it got quite warm
- the shower glass door felt fragile water spilt out

Room was spacious and the infinity pool that met the ocean was one of the best perks of the hotel, and would definitely go back just for that.

Wonderful hotel, comfortable bed, balcony and a nice shower with shower gel and shampoo and conditioner provided. Also the plug sockets accepted UK and European plugs, so no need for adapters. Nespresso machine with free refills were all nice little extras. The spa was really nice to relax in also. The hotel uses a phone app so no need for keys and you can use the chat facility to make requests or ask questions while you are out and these are responded too quickly. Definitely recommended if you’re staying in Sliema.

A very pleasant hotel that was very cost effective to visit (by most European standards) out of season, especially considering the standard of accommodation.
The indoor pool was very pleasant and you could make very good value of the €15 breakfast with the range of food on offer and seemingly no limit on how much of it you could have.
The hotel's position on the peninsula means you can see a coastline in either direction if your room is on the side of the hotel and every key amenity in the town is within easy walking distance.
The beds were comfy, soundproofing was great, the wifi was very good and the TV offered a good mix of channels in several languages; not that you'll want to spend too long in your room in such a nice area to explore.
If I had to be picky and look for issues, it would have been great if the water for the shower could have run warm sooner (it tended to take a few minutes to get up to temperature) and given that I needed to stay and work after check out, as I was on a business trip, there aren't many places to easily sit down and work with a laptop, other than a few low level tables in the reception or bar. We solved that problem by walking down to the other 1926 venue on the coast and used the great wifi there either side of getting lunch in the restaurant.

I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. All the team were really friendly and helpful and there were some lovely little touches like a small snack for when you got back in the evening to your room and lovely little messages. A wonderful boutique hotel and the beach club was excellent too. Thank you so much.

The hotel was in a great location to shops and restaurants in Sliema, as well as being close to the ferry across to Valletta (1.50€ one way, 2.80€ return) and buses. The staff were super helpful and even rang to check if we needed any arrangements for getting to the airport on the way home.

Couldn’t fault the staff or facilities

The Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, from the reception to the pool, spa, restaurant etc. The ability of the staff to respond to the client needs and the attention to details ( little things such as good night notes and the end of a day check in on guests needs) is exceptional. We rented a car and used hotel's garage, which was excellent given the difficulties with parking in Sliema. We also ate at the pool's restaurant - the food and service were excellent. In general , the service was impeccable. We are very much interested in coming back and staying in this hotel and we highly recommend it. To avoid a a risk of missing so many lovely people, our thanks go to all at Le Soleil.

Modernes Hotel

Great hotel - old-fashioned glamour, but with modern conveniences. Family size room was great for four girlfriends staying for the weekend. Lovely breakfast and beach club food. Service was exceptional – the room was regularly kept clean and tidy and towels replenished; reception staff were always very happy to help and lovely, helpful staff in the restaurant. The beach club was great - amazing cocktails! It’s a short walk from the hotel though - down a side street over a main road.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Convenient location, beautiful infinity pool, and spa. The hotel offered complimentary sunset cruise and bus tour. Every night they placed cards in the room with cute quotations and a little gift. Complimentary water and Prosecco in the lobby everyday.

The hotel is nice and modern. The ‘app’ like element was helpful. We didn’t have the correct room to begin with, but they did change the next day when we requested. Owing to storm like weather the beach club was shut for the entirety of our trip. Which was a real shame. When waiting to leave we overheard several guests had been issued tickets for alternative beach / pool location. I then asked about this, and had a slightly abrupt response which I was told only when people ‘complained enough’ they would issue them. This seemed rather unfair as I didn’t want to be rude about it during my stay, but for the whole week we were offered nothing alternative. If the weather is bad there is not much to do at the hotel. However, the aesthetics were very nice. We liked that the maid service was done via a switch in our room.

This hotel and the staff that work there, are amazing. Words can not fully describe just how great everything at the 1926 is and was. I highly recommend the 1926 Hotel and Spa and when ever I find myself back in Malta I will stay there again.

The staff and the actual hotel were both unquestionably top class. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff at the pool, pool restaurant and breakfast were particularly wonderful.
The hotel is conveniently situated for the Valletta ferry but the main road along the seafront was busy and rather dirty. Valletta was excellent for restaurants but Sliema was busy and noisy with traffic directly outside the eateries.

They advertised a beach club but it was just a pool overlooking the water and it closed at 5:30pm daily even though the restaurant stayed open longer.
There was a spider in our comforter and ants in the room.

The hotel stay was great. It would be nice to have a pool on site. The beach club is nice but when it’s hot it’s a long way away when you want to stay cool.

This is a very modern hotel. There are no key cards. It has keypad entry which save you trying to fish around for the card. Even the do not disturb and make up my room are electronic buttons! We got upgraded to a family room so had 2 king size beds to ourselves (2 of us) which was amazing. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa facilities or try the breakfast as we were out most of the time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel was lovely and all in all was a good stay, the only negative thing I can say is the pictures look like the pool is attached to the hotel and this isn’t the case, it is only a 5 minute walk down the road, the pool and the settings are lovely and they offer great service, however if you enjoy a late sunbathing session later in the day when it’s slightly cooler sadly they like to pack up the pool area at 5.30!! Which is annoying especially when the sun is still shining, overall the 4 day break was lovely.

Hotel location was excellent with easy access to buses and ferries and from there to all parts of the island. Also lots of good restaurants within a short walk. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. Massages in the spa were also superb - we returned for three massages each they were so good. Alex and Krishna deserve a special mention. Beach club was busy but within easy reach of the hotel. Would have been better if it opened earlier in the day. Only negative comments were that the gym was too small for the size of the hotel and that every afternoon we returned to our room to find that every light had been left on by the housekeeping staff - not too eco-friendly!

Fabulous staff - friendly and helpful but also deliver excellent customer service. Cleanliness is also a highlight - staff were constantly cleaning. The Beach Club is a delight again with great staff, good food and drink, and a great view!
