The hostel is close to the beach but is far from Hoi An Old Town. Taking a Grab or walking for an hour to the city is needed. If you are going to rent a bike or scooter,it should be fine. There is a restaurant across from the hostel and there is a mini mart within walking distance. The place is clean and staff is helpful. I didn't find any hand soap in the place,but they provide you with shampoo,toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, comb in the toiletry package. Staff is really excellent and they will make you breakfast,which is really nice.

Happy monkey hostel was great! Dorm room was cool and clean, outdoor space was welcoming and the pool was a big plus. The storage crates under the dorm beds are really clever and kept the room tidy. Sometimes the music was a bit too loud, though. The patio is a great place to hang out but often I was forced to leave or retreat to the dorm room for some peace and quiet, especially in the evenings. It's difficult to have a conversation when you are constantly yelling over an endless queue of average covers and crappy club music. Outside of Hoi An city and only a five minute walk to the beach, which was the main reason I stayed here.
