Great nights sleep, with great bedding and loved the balcony and the river view. Very quiet location, staff were super nice - will definitely stay here again!

Easy, friedly check in. Very nice, comfortable property. Newer construction with updated furnishings and very clean. Very happy with the stay. I highly recommend.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and new. Breakfast was listed as continental, but was better than the other 3 hotels on our trip. We will stay again for sure. If I must say something bad about the place, the parking lot didn’t have enough parking and too much garden bed space. Everything else was perfect.

What a nice and comfortable hotel. Lovely decor and furnishings. Quiet air conditioning , very comfortable.
Morning breakfast was lacking due to snow and ice storm affected the shipments of food. Other wise excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

The Independence is centrally located in town and right on the river. The room was nice and clean as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was included and had several good choices.

We’ve stayed at The Independence close to a dozen nights since July. Each has been a great experience. Love the location.
The complimentary breakfast isn’t that great but not many complimentary breakfast are.

Room had an awesome view of the river. Everything was brand new. Restaurant dinner was so so. Free breakfast was good but needed more quantity of food and coffee. Would definitely stay again.

Everyone of the staff throughout the whole independence hotel were very professional with excellent customer service. My stay at independence hotel has always been an excellent experience, I will continue to stay there…... have to say that I will always highly recommend people to stay at the independence hotel. To all CEO, Managers and every staff employee keep up the amazing work YOU ALL are doing an excellent job.
Looking forward to staying there again.

Wonderful experience. Hotel is new, clean, excellent staff and service. Great restaurant on site for dinners. Close to the quaint downtown area and short drives to Salem and Corvallis.
Also right on the river. Nice trail along rivers edge.

Extremely friendly staff. Check in was quick, the room was beautifully maintained, the restaurant was excellent. Truly enjoyed my stay and will be back.

I was hesitant about this hotel, but I had such a wonderful day, the friend that I split the room with said she wanted to come back with her husband to visit again. The dining area is fabulous, the hotel is very modern, the continental breakfast is great, and the staff were SO accommodating. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is absolutely lovely. It's a charming town with a charming hotel. The rooms are very spacious, clean and having the restaurant in the hotel was an added bonus with a beautiful view of the Williamette River. The staff is very friendly; from housekeeping to front desk. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice hotel right on the river. The room was spacious and in a cute little town called Independence. Parking was free and staff was very kind. View from the restaurant was lovely. Only suggestion would be to diversify the morning buffet to include some vegan options even if it's just oatmeal. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was out of most items, including coffee by 8:00 a.m. there were only a few scraps of cold scrambled eggs, and cold potatoes. It took 25 minutes to refill hot foods, fruit and coffee while guests waited around in a line. When I expressed to the the front desk person that the hotel needs to improve planning, this was met with an unwillingness to take ownership on behalf of the hotel, a "not my job" response. Upon my check out, the same person was at the buffet getting food with other employees and returned to the front desk chewing food and was fairly dismissive in processing my room check out. Overall, the rooms are nice, but the service today did not match the 9.4 rating I saw while making the reservation.

Nice hotel. But bathroom fan would never turn off, and no response from facilities when we reported it. AC has trouble getting the room below 70 at night. But clean and comfortable other than that. Enjoyed the rooftop and nice to have bikes available.

Good accessibility from freeway & surface streets without bad traffic. Property is newer with a nice breakfast variety. Located within the core of downtown Bellevue. We would return when there.
