Horrible check in, was never given a tour of where anything was. All restaurants serve small cold portions. You have to be a VIP bracket carrier to enter their so-called VIP treatment which by all means not worth it. No events, no special fun activities, employees walking by seemed cold robotic. No alcohol after 10pm we had to call for room service as it was not provided daily.

This was the one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Service was awful not helpful what so ever. The restaurant were closed for a couple days so all that was open was the Buffett.

The resort was fine: the things we really liked were the kids pool area, the room, the scheduled activities (water polo, beach volleyball, Mexican party).
The areas needing improvement are the food (not enough variety/ quality for breakfast and lunch), the service (took too many reminders to get a drink by the pool), and the lack of a hottub.
Felipe did a nice job showing us around and making us feel welcome. Ismael was a good server and friendly.
If you can afford something nicer, probably do that, if not your stay here will be fine, it just won't blow you out of the water, unless you're the foam at the foam party.

This hotel receives lots of poor reviews. My experience was okay. Upon checking in, no one gives you a map, a list of the restaurants or any verbal communication about what restaurants are open, where they are located, etc..We didn’t even get told the correct floor to go to. Our room number started with a 4 so we naturally went to the fourth floor to find that room didn’t exist. We then explored other floors and discovered they all started with 4. Our room was in the sixth floor. Nobody at reception had the courtesy to tell us. All the other employees were delightful at the restaurants and bars. The food was good and the buffet had many options. When we went the pool to get towels, they said we needed a towel card from reception. We were never given towel cards at check in and now the line at reception was out the door. Much is needed to improve the check in process. Otherwise, food was good, friendly employees, clean rooms and beautiful spot.

First time here, first day the reception MIA was not friendly or welcoming at all. She argued with my husband on the towel keys in front of all the guests. She DID NOT provide towel keys!! A formal complaint was filed, MIA has no business working first contact with clients, it is clear she does not like her job!
The rest of the stay was great! YOLANDA pool waitress was the best!! Because of Yolanda we will come back to Krystal! Omar, Sergio and Brisa also were great! The service they provided made our stay at Krystal Grand VIP as we like it ;) thank you team see you again soon!! MEOW MEOW!

Check in was good, room was ok, bathroom was small and shower and toilet needs some work. Kids splash pool was a little underwhelming but it did the trick for a day. Resort should consider renovating a serious kids splash park and play area. This is something cabo is truly missing.

We were extremely apprehensive about the mixed reviews about the "ALL" Inclusiveness of this resort before we booked but for the price point we proceeded to check it out.
Remember you are on resort time while you are there. Long waits for check in, reservations, and drinks. Most everything is included, BUT there are exceptions... Gelato - of all things???, Cabanas, Steak and Lobster.
All areas of the resort are NOT included unless you are in Altitude package(?) We are still not sure what that was about.
It was difficult to get information about resort and activities. Maps, directions and labeling of places not well defined. After the week there we figured most of it out.
Food..
If you want to eat at one of the sit down restaurants, you need to make a reservation on that day, starting at 9 am, plan on waiting in line to do so! VERY frustrating! They need to change this and allow restaurants to open earlier for more reservations. Order everything that you want at once, because service is poor and they push you out, especially at the Asian and Italian places. As for the Buffet, the food is very bland...and that's saying a lot for a bland eater that has a sensitive stomach! Rooms are nice and clean, with great views and we did not purchase an expensive package. All rooms possibly have a view in which we could tell. AC can only stay on with use of your key card for room or towel key card inserted. AC only will cool to 21.5 degrees C.

They said there was vegan food options but there was very little options other than steamed veggies. The pasta was stuck together and bland, so the food was a bit disappointing. Sometimes the servers would not take our drink orders and we had to get them ourselves. The TV was mainly spanish channels and things were falling apart in the room. But the staff was amazing and made the resort a better experience.

This is the worst resort I have ever stayed at and I travel a lot. I booked this trip for my boyfriend bday and 3 weeks before our arrival I contacted Miguel to help me set something nice up for him maybe a dinner on the beach . Miguel communication was horrible , he never answered my questions or explored any options I had . After 6 different emails to him he answered saying he would send a cake to the room . When I arrived I never received the cake . The food at this resort has very limited options and it is horrible . The service is terrible. Each night I waited 30 minutes just to get a glass of water , it was so bad I eventually just started getting everything myself . For two of the restaurants we had to make reservations, and the food was a joke . I ordered buffalo wings and they gave me two of the smallest drumsticks. For our main course the portions were so small we ran to the buffet after just so we can be full for the night . Our friends met us day 2 at the resort , the front desk gave them a room that still had guests inside and they ended up walking in on them in bed . The tv in the rooms did not work , I also heard another couple complaining that their tv or lights in the bathroom did not work . There is no type of entertainment at this resort. No music by the swim up bars . Some of the guest would bring their own speakers to the pool and they were told to turn it off. I do not have enough room to finish type this review but never again !! Ps it was not cheap.

Horrible layout of the property, the food is disgusting and non bareable. Alcohol quality is of the lower side. Cant even pay extra for better alcohol! The rooms are not secured, on the streets, loud road noise! Checked in to a dirty room; towels on the floor, crayon marks on the walls! Won’t let me cancel or upgrade. Don’t ever stay here

It’s a terrible experience. Not friendly staff. Reported the disturbing noises in the room to the front desk right after checked in with a video showing them the noises. They said they will send someone up but no one showed up and the issues didn’t resolved. So we checked out early right after the first night because we couldn’t stand the place. It’s an inclusive hotel but only a buffet that you can get in. Other restaurants open for dinner only and you have to make reservations in advance. They all booked so we couldn’t get in. The buffets is very limited choices and no good food. What’s the point of inclusive that you cannot even use? Not worth the money of $450 a night. Bad experience.

No safe in room. No shelf in shower for shampoo etc. Only one towel hook for a room that can sleep 4 people. No outdoor furniture on balcony. Tv didn’t work. worked for 2 of 5 days. Smallest mini bar fridge I’ve ever seen with only 2 beer per day for alcoholic beverages. Staff friendly and polite is the good thing.

This place is not up to standards at all. The photos on Expedia and the website are not even close to what you get in person. The breakfast is the only thing good about this place but how hard is it to mess up eggs.
All the restaurants are absolute garbage, the drinks …. Even worse. Most staff here don’t care because they know it’s mediocre at best and there is nothing they can do to make it any better. This is a 1 star resort maybe lower if you could. They trick you by adding a room pool to make it look better than what it is. Dont be fooled.

We had a really good experience all around. It was crowded at check-in but the management immediately engaged the hotel's concierge, Mario, to help with the process. Mario was extremely personable, and not only helped us with the check-in process, but made our stay wonderful, assisting us throughout our vacation. The first day there, we had a medical issue. The staff immediately connected us with paramedics and a personal call from a doctor. The medical care afforded us was excellent, and I would have no qualms in that area if there was a medical concern. When it came to dealing with the restaurants and the wait staff, we were treated with care and wonderful service throughout the resort. All of them made us feel as if we were the most special people they'd seen all day. The rooms were kept immaculate, and our cleaning staff went out of their way to create personal touches every day, such as fun towel foldings, etc. One day my key card did not work, and I asked a cleaning person who was in the next room if she could open the room for me. When her key did not work, she went out of her way to contact security to help with the lock. The whole process took no more then ten minutes. The food was very good everywhere we went. We did not go to the Italian nor the Japanese restaurant since our main focus in Mexico was to eat wonderful Mexican food--and we certainly did that. As to the room, we specifically paid extra to have an ocean view. Amazing.

I enjoyed it very much, staff are excellent definitely. I wish that they (and all resorts) actually made sure that people couldn't hog beach/pool chairs by using some kind of timer like cruise ships. The pool didn't open until 8am yet there would be towels on it at 530am! And you witness people not coming to "their" chair for hours. This hotel uses a card to get the towel so you'd have to pay for it if lost but stop that practice. Make them free and then time the chairs for maybe ... an hour ... of no use and pack the stuff up and take it to lost and found.

Good midlevel property that covers everything you'd expect in an all-inclusive. Biggest thing I'd note to improve or for guests to be aware of is that it has very poor WiFi, so don't plan on being able to work a ton while there.

The stay was overall good. I would say the Kyratal Grand is a good place to stay on a budget.
The hotel is a little dirty in some areas, It is understaffed, and sometimes there are gross smells.
The food is alright, but you have to make sure to get a reservation or you are eating at the buffet which can be hit or miss.
All the staff are way friendly and helpful.

The common areas, pools, beach, and ocean were great. Sunrises and beach walks were right out our back door. The coffee shop and dining areas were nice and the food was ok in the buffet and great in the restaurants. Uber to San Jose was $6 and Cabo Marina $35 each way which i thought was reasonable.

Very cooperative mgt. Rooms usually don't have microwaves. Upon request for our infant's milk warming, they put a microwave in our room. Extended the checkout time complementary to accommodate the shuttle pick-up time considering we have an infant.
What we don't like - buffet items don't have any variation. We stayed 6 nights -- pretty much the same items every day and even some items are same from breakfast to dinner.

Food was only mediocre at best. What you got what usually not what was described on the menu. The reservation system for dinner is an absolute joke. If you make one, they mess it up, if you don't, you can walk into any of the restaurants and get in. There are not nearly enough chairs by the pool and they do not enforce "no reserving chairs" policy they post. When our water heater was not working, they said they would send someone in 20 minutes to fix it, it was 5 hours later someone showed up.
They do a horrible job of providing/sharing information with guests. No maps of the property.
The entertainment is lacking in the evening.
Would not recommend.

I loved the size of the Krystal Grand Los Cabos. You can walk everywhere around the resort. No shuttles.The Ocean views, Sunrises ,Sunsets were breathtaking. The beach and white sand goes for miles. The surf crashes like thunder. So beautiful. Not safe to swim but the pools are perfect . The gardens,plants and grounds were beautiful. A bit dry in areas but we were in the desert. The staff were always very nice and helpful with whatever was asked. The Concerige Mario was very nice and willing to help to make our visit as comfortable as he could. . Erick the bus boy was very nice and helped our group with laugage and getting settled with any guestions answered. Getting us transport to Cabo was set up for there and back by taxi for 6 with eas. Angel at the pools worked so hard he literally was running to get everyone there food and drinks for hours. The food was good, Only thing was a shortness of condiments butter ketchup and such at buffet. The waiters and waitresses did very well to get us seated with coffees and sumosas. They were very busy.The alacart restarants were pretty good. Make sure your early in line to reserve as they say 9am to start but sometimes 8am or 830 start to get the restarant you want. If your in the Residence buildin g there is ALOT of traffic noise was the only real concern. Housekeeping and refills were excellent for us. I would stay again without hesitation. Thank you for making our first trip in many years very pleasurable

It was the first time for us to stay at an all inclusive resort. It was disappointing how guests abused this privilege. Drunken and very loud late into the night.
The Japanese restaurant was very bad, the food was terrible. The buffet dinner and breakfast is what you would expect, ample food . We loved the VIP longe and roof top bar, excellent bar service and knowledgeable staff.
The location for Long Beach walks was great, no ocean swimming due to high surf.! I am glad they flew the black flag (no swimming) god knows, some drunken idiot might have drowned otherwise……

TERRIBLE HOTEL DON'T STAY HERE! WE HAD STAY HERE BEFORE AND IT WAS A WAY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE WE LOVED IT AND THAT WAS THE REASON WE BOOKED IT AGAIN HOWEVER THIS TIME IT WAS AWFUL.
OUR ROOM SMELLED LIKE SEWER , OUR FRIDGE FROM HAD A NOISE THE ENTIRE NIGHTS AND WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY HOT WATER AND OUR AC WAS NOT WORKING. WE REACHED OUT TO FRONT DESK THEY WERE NO HELP NOR MANAGEMENT. APPARENTLY THEY HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH CHANGE OF OWNERS AND THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH STAFF. ALSO GET READY TO MAKE SOME LINE TO DO YOUR DINNER RESERVATIONS AND THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT WAS TERRIBLE. WE WAITED ALMOST 30 MINUTES TO GET OUR DRINKS AND THE FOOD TOOK FOREVER AND WHEN WE GOT IT IT WAS VERY COLD. THE WAITRESS WAS NOT VERY POLITE AND HIM AS ALL THE STAFF MENTION THAT THEY HAD NOT STAFF AND THEY HAVE NOT WAY TO CONTROL THE SERVICE. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTION STAY AT ANOTHER RESORT!! THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THE LOCATION THAT'S CLOSE TO THE SJD AIRPORT OR TO DOWNTOWN SAN JOSE DEL CABO.

For the price of the package, this all inclusive resort was really not that bad. The food options were good but the taste of the food could be better. The policy in place to not leave your stuff on your poolside chair is not enforced so good luck with finding a chair by the pool. Overall it was a nice resort, beautiful landscaping and clean rooms.

This is a more quiet and chill place. Not a lot of entertainment. If you want somewhere to just sit back and relax, this is the place. The buffet is way better than the restaurants. The fish was the best I've ever tasted at the buffet. I wouldn't go back to this resort because me and my wife love entertainment and parties

Krystal Grand was nice! However, the hot tubs were both broken, and our mini fridge was not stocked up. We requested at least twice for waters and they told us that the fridge was already filled even though it never was. They eventually gave us extra waters and fixed everything, but it was a really nice hotel still.
