On a road trip we found out that Tru By Hilton delivered exactly what we needed.
So in every town we ended up we looked for a Tru By Hilton. They have the following features which we liked:
Stand up shower, no tub
Touch free pancake machine for breakfast
They were all clean
Free parking
Good beds
A very hygienic way of disposing soap and so on in the bathroom
Good service

The hotel was nice and clean. Service was great and breakfast was good. The only problem was you can hear everything what was going on in other rooms, very thin walls.

It was very nice. It’s new so no funky smell at least. Bed and pillows nice. Great view of mountains from window. Room was small but everything you needed, great use of space. I liked the pegs to hang stuff on. The AC was very loud. I just shut it off, it was annoying. The frig made a noise. Just enough to irritate you and try to figure out where it’s coming from. The walls are paper thin. Loved the hand soap and body soap. Lemon sugar, very nice! The main thing I didn’t like was a yappy dog barking before bed and another big dog at 5:50AM with a big bark. I think if you’re going to allow dogs and cats, they need to be kept in certain rooms only and at the end of hall first floor where they don’t have to go down the hall and into elevator. I didn’t realize dogs and cats were allowed or I wouldn’t have stayed here. I’m allergic to pet hair and even though it looked very clean, you can’t get rid of all the smell of an animal. Location was great! Close to Biltmore and Blue Ridge Parkway!

I liked the decor, cleanliness, and amenities.

Clean, average on bed comfort. A bit noisy. Staying on the side opposite the street would be quieter.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities and friendly staff. The view from the rooms in the front is amazing.

A wonderful, clean and stylish hotel. Loved the hanging nest chairs in the lobby and the firepit outside. Oh and a pool table! What a nice surprise!

This relatively new hotel is definitely for a younger crowd. The lobby has games, a pool table, and a bar. I liked that they are "green" - recycling, refillable shampoo, etc. Overall, fantastic place to stay.

First time in a Tru, normally stay in Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. Quick get away, booked on Friday and though why not. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel, will definitely have them on my list for future stays.

I was unaware of this Hilton brand before finding it here. It's kind of European. The room are bare boned but in a really nice way. The lobby had a pool table. The breakfast was much better than other free breakfast places, including Hampton. BTW, even though the hotel is right off the freeway, I saw a black bear in the parking lot when I pulled in at 3pm. Be careful!

The entire hotel was very clean and welcoming. Our view of the mountains was beautiful. Loved the soaps and lotions in the room and everyone was friendly. We usually stay at Hampton Inn but it was full. Hotels.com found this one nearby and said it would be great quality as well. It was, thank you for the recommendation.

The cost and value for 2 comfortable queen beds was phenomenal. Breakfast was hot and varied but ended at 9am in a facility that served vacationers and business people. 10am would’ve been more convenient. Very clean facilities. Good late night ready to make food options but I didn’t see a microwave anywhere. Front desk staff could have been more welcoming- the two young ladies just didn’t crack a smile though they responded well to questions asked. Check in process wasn’t excellent because we couldn’t tell if the front desk staff had seen us while she was on the phone dealing with a reservation issue (no eye contact, smile, ‘just a while’ acknowledgment and we waited quite a while. But overall excellent value and so convenient. I would highly recommend.

The walls and ceiling are paper thin! We had children stomping on our heads and people in the next room being very "intimate" and could hear all! There are no desks or dressers per se. Most of the staff has very little understanding of the English language and the front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly. Booooooo!

I paid to Hotels.com over $200. But the Holiday Inns said they didn’t have room for me. And ask Hotels.com to refund my money. I have to look for another hotel to stay. Please refund my money. Thank you.

The music that is played at the elevators goes right up into the rooms above. The music bothered me all night long and when discussed with your staff, she denied it. No manager on duty either - are you kidding me?

Beautiful rooms, awesome shower, full breakfast and the pool table was a pleasant surprise. The walls are too thin though. You could hear people in the hallway and the adjoining rooms.
