Great location and easy drop off (several spaces curbside) with plenty of nearby parking reserved at a reasonable cost. Apartment was clean and stylish.

Wonderful stay! Very clean.

Booked this room for a quick overnight. Got in after midnight & needed to be out by 5:30 AM. Room had the potential to be nice, but it was dirty, terrible dirty. Complete with the toilet someone had defected in and not flushed. No cleaning staff, no front desk. I e attached a picture that does not do it justice.

Great price and the room was amazing. So much better than a typical hotel. Walking distance to everything downtown.

Our bed was broke. When we arrived. The slats under the bed were busted and bent. We communicated this to Sonder and they sent someone to check but it was not fixable during our stay. They offered a partial refund. We also could not watch the Roku well with the internet connection. It loaded” constantly whether on sports or a show. It was blurry and pixilated.

My stay was great, the apartment and views were great and you’re walking distance to the transit center. Will definitely stay here for future stays

Very quiet

The room was very spacious, spotless clean brand new kitchen. And a great view out of the windows. But I had a corner studio with 5 big tall windows. It’s an old building and the windows were very drafty. That’s a problem in the winter.

This is one of the best stays I’ve had in a hotel. The room was immaculate and the bed was super comfy! The views of the city at night was awesome and could be enjoyed while laying in bed. It felt like a up-scale hide-out….. The kitchen was fully prepared to be used and there was even a washer and dryer in the studio. You can’t beat that for this price and location.The only thing I wish is that there was a 24 hour concierge. I checked in around 11pm and was a little off-put by there not being anyone at the front desk. I’d definitely stay here again.

The property claims to be a hybrid hotel/apartment, but lacks the advantages of either. We arrived and there were no luggage carts. We checked out and there were still no carts. The person at the front desk said this is because they depend on people bringing them back, but they don’t actually enforce it in any way. We were traveling with 3 adults total and an infant so this was a huge hassle. I asked for more towels on the app because no one was at the front desk for a prolonged period and they told me to go to the essentials closet. There was literally nothing in there and it was in the morning. I told them on the app and they said they would deliver them to us by 12 hours! We were attending a wedding that day so this was totally unacceptable. I happened to run into a maid who was kind enough to go down and get them for us. An elevator also broke and they only have 2, which was not ideal. The floor appeared to not have been cleaned properly as evidenced by the dirt on our socks. This was especially bothersome considering our infant is mobile. Lastly, I asked them to stock the room with a pack n play a few days before if available. They said none were available so we had to drive over with ours. When I arrived it was sitting in the room. No one communicated that they were able to obtain one, which would have saved us the hassle of bringing ours. The pluses were the fully stocked kitchen and laundry. However, this was not enough to make up for other things. False advertising.

We stayed for three nights while attending an event at Ford Field. Walking there was easy. Everything provided by our Sonder was great. The bed was comfortable. The room was fairly clean except the ceiling vents need much attention. Access was easy to manage. I’m glad there was an attendant when we walked in. We felt pretty secure and safe.

The Sonder was a quiet, beautiful highlight of our stay in Detroit

First experience with Sonder but it won’t be my last! One of the best accommodation experience I’ve ever had. Great location, accessibility and facility. Stay here, you won’t regret it!!

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The property was fairly well maintained but did need some additional cleaning. Our room had a city view which was neat until you tried to get some sleep at night and then there was too much traffic noise. Our Deluxe Suite really needed a much larger shower in it and had the room for it, as well as needing more counter top space. Additional seating in the living quarters would also be very helpful. Overall, knowing all this, we will stay again and modify our room preferences next time.

The prices were perfect so I hope they don’t raise them. We were in town for individual wrestling States at Ford Field and it was so nice to have a place with a separate room for the baby to take a nap and be undisturbed. A lot of our group stayed at MGM and I think it was highly overrated for the price!! We will definitely be back and I’ve told a lot of people about Sonder!!

I liked the modern minimalist style of the studio apartment. The view of downtown Detroit from the apartment was amazing! I liked the fact that the kitchen was stocked with plates, glasses, and basic cooking tools. It was very helpful to have a washer/dryer in the unit. The atmosphere was generally much more calm than that of a hotel. My only criticism is that the common areas such as the lobby and the gym could have been kept more clutter free. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and I would stay there again.

I like everything about this property. It was a peaceful place to stay. The room I had was very beautiful. I love the fact I was able to wash and dry my clothes.They had everything you could need while staying there. I would definitely recommend this place.

area right around property is Dirty and parking is limited. Public transportation is easy to access. rooms are small but nice and everything inside felt very clean.

It was exactly as advertized.

I took a chance and booked a room for a quick stay on my winter break. It did not disappoint! The view of the city, free transportation nearby as well as places to eat were well worth the trip. My room was clean and lacked nothing, even keyless entries which normally make me nervous created no problem- thanks Sonder!

Property is in an excellent location. We were in Detroit for the Red Wings and Pistons so this was prime area. It is within walking distance to the arena. The room is spacious, well stocked and has a full kitchen and laundry. However, the shower was very tight. The toilet paper was super low budget and our room was freezing. Our email request was promptly responded to and someone was sent right away for the heat however, the issue was not resolved making it super cold and uncomfortable for the month of January. Overall, pleased with the accommodation. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t freezing in our room.

Best stay we’ve had in Detroit by miles. The place is clean and has a pretty nice aesthetic. Showers are good, bed comfy enough, great views from the window (we had a corner suite). Jasmine (apologies if misspelled) assisted us on Friday with check in and recommendations and was polite, professional and a joy to chat with. Parking easy nearby. Area seems pretty safe and is in walking distance to all downtown spots. Will definitely be staying here next time.

The shower was beyond small for what we expected. We felt the pictures gave a much different impression than the actual property. The off-property, 2 block away parking is ridiculous. When/If we ever go back to Detroit we will absolutely NOT stay at a Sonder.
