A beautiful historic property with meticulous service and delicious food. It is elegant and near all the Casco Viejo sites and restaurants, but quiet and off the path of the disco scene which takes over old town on weekend nights. So many of the concierge and desk staff were great. Special thanks to Eric, Jonathan, and Richard and everyone who provided great service.

Great property, but a lot of inconsistencies. Upside: Great Concierge. Day Trip recommendations to Colon was fantastic. Great waiting staff Location Well priced Average: Food in general, inconsistent, slow but well priced Downside: Pool is filthy. Issue with nighttime manager who clearly didn't want me to extend my stay, tried to upsell me to a suite as there was nothing in my category available, but there clearly was in AMEX, hotels.com and in their own webpage, resolved in the morning, but felt very inadequate. Room cleaning, simply not done, requested multiple times and no follow up.

From the moment you pull up outside the property youre greated with smiles and professionalism. Front desk, pool and general service is amazing. Room was beautiful and i had a gorgeous view of the skyline. Minutes away from many great restaurants

The junior suite was beautiful and had a great balcony overlooking the ocean. We did not care for the restaurant, it was overpriced and the food wasn't very good.

Incredible attention to detail. Magical place steeped in history yet brand new. I don't think any discerning traveler will find a flaw. A lot of personal attention if you desire it. Welcoming of children. Concierge gives a history tour of the hotel. Bars, restaurants, nightclubs all walking distance.

Good alternative to boring boxy 6 5 star chain hotels. Ocean facing location with charming poolside and well designed rooms. Recommend thr ones with tarrace.

We stayed 3 nights there and had an amazing stay. The staff and amenities are fantastic and go out of their way to make sure everything is as you wish. We only tried the restaurant once for lunch and it was very good as there are so many places to dine outside the hotels. We will definitely go there again on our next trip to Panama 🇵🇦

Sofitel is a beautiful hotel in the amazing environs of Casco Virgo. The staff and service was absolutely amazing. It’s also located in a good spot with walkable dining options all around. Security in the area was tight as there are police officers all around the area to make you feel safe at any time of the day or night.

They still have to work out some kinks (being relatively new), but I’m sure they will knowing the Sofitel brand as I do. Otherwise, the staff is gracious and exceedingly mindful of the guests’ well being and will do anything to make it right, including running out and getting decaf coffee if that’s your preference. Otherwise, the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are thoughtful and quite lovely. The air conditioning is excellent throughout the entire hotel, including the rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, always there to help with any questions. The service in the restaurant and bar was amazing, and the food and drinks never disappointed. A special thank you to the concierge, who upgraded us to an ocean-view room. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to shops, restaurants, bars, and lounges.

A very nicely redone old building on the water in Casa Viejo. The stay was mane particularly nice due to the excellent service by a caring staff. Good restaurants in hotel and in area around hotel. Highly recommend this property.

This is a fabulous luxury property in a great location. The staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are huge and reasonably priced for what you get. Opt for a suite and have your butler prepare a bath. Heaven

We loved everything about this hotel. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The included breakfast was amazing! The service all around the hotel was excellent. We absolutely loved it all!

The staff was very professional and friendly. The only issue that my wife and I didn’t like was when we got back to the room every day in the evening there was a very unpleasant odor, like an old dirty carpet, we couldn’t pinpoint what it was since the room was very nice and clean, other than that I recommend this hotel.

It is a great hotel, staff is very kind, check in is fast and easy, rooms are big, clean, with lots of amenities. The bed is wonderful. There is a pool and spa which are very good. Food is exquisite. I highly recommend the hotel.
