It was so out of the way and away from everything. There was a lovely feeling in the cottage, like it had stored all the happy memories over the years, and it was beautifully and very individually decorated, with care and attention to detail. Nothing too bijou or flash, very cosy and like somewhere we ourselves would live in. It tends towards the damp side as it is right beside the sea and there is no central heating - but we were there during wet weather and out of season. When the sun came out it was heaven. A new stove is being installed and that will make it very toasty.

Nice hideaway near the water. Quiet place where you can listen to nature. The cottage itself is not very clean over All. The bathrooms and the kitchen are clean but the curtains are very dusty and the place has a very bad odor similar to heating oil. We needed to buy a plug-in air freshener and some scented candles, also needed to leave the windows open all the time. The beds are in need of upgrading. The carpeting is worn.

Very nice location, in front of the sea in a house from the 17th century. The fireplace and quiet location contributed to the relaxation. The house had an extension from the 70s, there was a kitchen with fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher everything you need for self-sufficiency. It wasn't all up to date, but it was functional. We explored the beach and the surrounding area on foot, although there were no signposted hiking trails, there was no traffic either. Gladys (the housekeeper) even provided us with an internet router. There were tips for trips in the area. We will come back.
