At first, we were unimpressed with a few things about the house - strange odor in the home, uneven & seemingly weak floors in a few spots. We didn’t let those small things interrupt a great weekend of relaxation & bonding.

House stay was good. The only two negatives were the subflooring in the master bedroom - felt like the subflooring was missing or too soft in a couple of areas under the floor surface. Second, all three couples not get the ductless Mitsubishi hvac units to work comfortably. Other than those structural items, all the family members enjoyed themselves.

We had a wonderful stay at Lemon Drop. Everything was just as described. Great location!!!!

Check in and general communications were great. Walking distance to some awesome spots.
Unfortunately this house has endured some hefty water damage probably after many hurricanes, and has some big signs of potential mold contamination and crumbling infrastructure.
The floors are about as thin as you can make them without falling through, and many of the rooms have rugs over the floorboards that need replacing.
The door frames and entryways for multiple rooms are wrinkled, spotted, and bubbled, making them seem water damaged and poorly repaired.
I attempted to shorten my stay after being really disappointed, but they didn’t accommodate any changes. Won’t be booking again and would advise you to steer clear.

Great house with easy access to beach 😊

This placed really let me sink in quickly to that feeling of being over the bridge and away from the real world in a timely fashion.
It is tucked away off the main street just the right amount to avoid the noise and hubbub but very close to the beach and main attractions.
Thanks for the hospitality.

The property is well-appointed and comfortable. While it does not offer beach views, it offers convenient beach access (two blocks) and also offers easy walks to dining and entertainment. We also found the people and visitors of Carolina Beach to be remarkable friendly and courteous.

We loved this house and its proximity to the beach and the boardwalk! Great location! Communication with the property owner, Dale, was second to none; he was always quick to respond and extremely helpful and accommodating. The house was clean and spacious for the six of us and our two pups! Can’t wait to book again soon!

The property was pretty accurate to the listing. The location was the best, since we could walk to the beach and a lot of the restaurants. The house is older so has it flaws, but the most important things are on point, such as the laundry area, kitchen, bathrooms and overall comfort. The front porch and back deck are great to hang out on. My dog loved it too!! I definitely would stay here again.

The property was located a short walk from the beach and very close to shops and restaurants. We parked the car and walked most places. The rental has even more amenities than listed and we felt immediately at home in the cute and friendly neighborhood where this house is located. Dale, the property manager, was great and right on top of responding to any questions I had. Would definitely stay there again!

A great “Weekend ++” stay for us at Carolina Beach. Bungalo was convent to the beach and also found some nearby restaurants.
Nice kitchen, new appliances and a good spice rack. We all had a great time

So this was a toss up given we stayed during hurricane Ian. The place was a great location, had all the kitchen essentials, and plenty of space. My issues were with the cleanliness and poor property management. We put in a maintenance request and no one showed up during our stay after 2 requests. This was right after the hurricane so I understand there could have been issues with getting to the property. Also had a few dead bugs throughout house upon arrival. Overall it was a decent stay. Id give it another chance next time hopefully not during a hurricane.

This property was fully renovated with new appliances and comforts. It is 1 block from the beach and close to everything in Carolina beach.
The property was sold before we started the vacation and Dale, the new property manager helped us keep the rental at the same price and dates. We are grateful that he went out of his way to help us keep the rental while his wife just got a baby!!.
I recommend this property and Dale.
