Hotel staff friendly. Place is nice and clean and close to theater and walkable to grandcentral

The hotel was perfect! It smelled beautiful as soon as I walked into the lobby. It was clean and the room had everything I needed. They even had my favorite soap brand, Lather! 10 out of 10. This is my new favorite hotel to stay in when I’m in New York!

No fridge. They promised they would provide one but after and hour nothing came. I called and said just don’t bother. They were more than happy to oblige that.

This hotel has a good location and a great rooftop bar.
The rooms OK, very small but functionary. Mind your shins. The ceiling is awful. They explain the concept – it is artistic – so we accept it is artistic (the “Emperors’ new clothes”?) To me the ‘grit’ reminds me of not being able to afford a proper ceiling.
Unfortunately, we had issues with the toilet flush. They got an engineer to fix it whilst we were out but it still didn’t work so we needed him back the next day. Yuk. Fair dues they gave us some credit whilst we had a drink in the bar.
On the last day we got locked out of our room by the cleaners! Apparently the lock on the inside can come across if the door is slammed shut. So please tell the cleaners about this –and/or fix the issue. Again, resolved by the engineer on his ‘daily’ visit, but frustrating after a long day out.
Other minor things: One Robe/Slippers in a room for two people; different gratuity amounts added to the same breakfast each day. The check-in guy saying he had upgraded us with a view. He hadn’t! So why say it. (NB You will not get a view on the lower floors).
So, a few frustrations, functionally dealt with, but not ideal during a short stay.

Great stay! Good location in midtown on a quiet street. Staff were super friendly. 2 Queen room was LARGE by NYC standards. Great closet and hooks for hanging coats etc. Bathroom was also large with plenty of space to spread out your toiletries. Hotel’s toiletries were nice and plentiful - citrus scent. Compliments waters in room on arrival. Beds were comfy, towels plentifu - luxe robes. I would absolutely stay again. It was a really comfortable stay.

Great hotel. Waterpressure in shower could be a little higher to really be enjoyable

Though it was a short weekend trip our stay at the Grayson was very nice. The staff was wonderul and incredibly welcoming. We know where we'll be staying next time we visit New York.

Clean, friendly staff. Decent dining. Close to main areas. Only downside was the temperature of the hotel….it’s excessively hot all the time

Everybody at this hotel location was very nice. Informative about the surroundings places and things to do in the city. Extremely helpful and great all around people. This location deserve 5 star rating and to be praise this location is and example of what a hotel location should be and how it should be operated on a daily basis!

Grayson is a wonderful hotel. It's new and centrally located in Midtown near theatres, trains, and restaurants. Best of all, the staff is super friendly and helpful!

Incredible service at the front desk and over the phone, comfortable beds, windows that open (yes, that was a big deal to me!), and location that was so convenient and yet somehow felt a little quieter because it’s by Bryant Park. Would absolutely stay here again when visiting NY, especially for a theatregoer.

Amazing stay. Super cozy. Bigger than a lot of other rooms in Midtown! However we were outside the elevator and it was incredibly loud!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grayson. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and I loved the decor, the comfy bed, and even the toiletries provided. I had breakfast at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with the food as well. No complaints at all!

There are so many things that I think were problematic. The room was small, which I kind of expect, but I also expect a mini fridge or an ice machine That, however, was the least of the issues. They had a sign on the two bottles of water which enlarge letters said “complementary” but in small letters said that it would be six dollars a bottle if you didn’t have the right status on Hyatt. I had no idea what my status was, so I had to go down to the front desk just to see if the water would cost me six dollars. They told me that I didn’t have the right status, but pointed me to a water fountain. Literally. I like that they had free coffee, but there was absolutely no place to sit, and it was weird, because the free coffee was embedded in a restaurant, so I couldn’t sit there. There was a stairway outside the building that led to an area where there were chairs… But when you climb the stairs you find that there is a locked door. Why they don’t just rope up the stairs before anyone climbs them is beyond me. Everything just seemed so below par, including the fact that, in a room for two with a king size bed, they only had one robe and one umbrella. I would say that 80% of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, with the restaurant staff being a tad surly I would not stay there again, or recommend it

Good stay. It's an average good hotel for the price. However, there is no working area or desk inside the room.

The service was amazing. This will be my choice each time I'm in New York. Definitely having trouble with food service. Everyday it took 2 or 3 tries to get room service breakfast right but they went overboard to make it right. The accomadations were perfect.

The hotel is great, super nice and cozy rooms, comfortable bed, nice bars and restaurants. The only con for me would be that it doesn’t have coffee maker im the rooms, even when they say you can request one, I did but they didn’t have it. Other than that, great hotel and excellent location.

The wall is not very sound proof and I can hear the door open and close whenever people open their doors.

Loved the rooftop bar. Would definitely go back just for that. Rooms were decent size for city standards and nicely decorated.

I stayed here January 3rd to 6th. It was a very nice quiet stay. The staff were super helpful and nice. The hotel is on a one way street which I love, I feel like it makes the traffic noise a lot less. It was a perfect setting to walk to a lot of sights and restaurants, yet not in the middle of all the hectic traffic. The room was so nice and clean with a great view. The rooftop bar has great views. Will fire sure stay here again.

Can’t say enough about our stay at the Grayson! ALL of the staff from the front desk to the bell staff to the housekeepers to the waitstaff were all friendly and so nice. We were always greeted with a smile and a hello by all staff every time they passed. And they were always willing to help give us the best customer service and stay possible. Our room #410 had a king sized bed and was clean and modern. We had ample room for both of our full sized luggage at the end of the bed and still enough room to move around. The hotel is conveniently located by Bryant Park and is close to shopping and a variety of places to eat. Loved our stay and would definitely return to Grayson when we return to NYC!

The location was amazing, short walk to just about everything, yet far enough away to be out of the crowd. Very clean and the staff was amazing. Shout out to Orenzo for his customer services. Super friendly and made sure we were able to see the rooftop bar before we left. Would definitely stay here again. Also be sure to get the Empire view for the most amazing view of the Empire State Building...Totally worth it!

Check in is supposed to be at 3pm. However, I had to wait an hour and 15min later for my room to be available. The room I had was full of dust that was bothing my nose and also I found a used mascara in the room. Most likely belonging to the previous guest.

This is a special hotel situated in a perfect area for just about everything. Short walk from Penn Station, Broadway, Bryant Park & Rockefeller Center. Staff top notch - friendly, professional, helpful, etc. Room was super clean and updated. Restaurant and bars onsite. Good food, clean and great service. Will definitely be going back to this little gem

Very friendly and great staff. Awesome location. Restaurant was really, really lacking and I can't recommend going there under any circumstances. Shower design was flawed and caused flooding of the bathroom floor. Not a great place to get a cab due to being in the middle of a not so busy block.

A beautiful hotel in the best location. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city

The hotel was nice and clean as we arrived. They had been accommodating due to the fact that our original booked room didn’t have a city view and were able to switch us to a better city view room the following day! The staff was friendly and nice! I would definitely come back to the Grayson hotel for another trip to New York. Thank you staff.

The Grayson is a perfect mid-town location. Just a block south of Bryant Park and a block east of Broadway. Very accessible to shopping, theaters, restaurants and transit.
The property is clean and well managed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend booking your stay in NYC at this hotel.
