About this cabin rental
Trout Creek Retreat is a beautiful, luxurious home in a family neighborhood located in the Great Smoky Mountains. This property is located on the Oconaluftee River 1/4 of a mile up the subdivision mountain from Highway 19. This cabin is entered through the living room which offers an open floor plan complete with kitchen, living room, and dining room. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and cookware to use during your stay. Also in the kitchen is a large closet to store pantry items and where the washer and dryer is located. Three high top chairs are located at the bar area in the kitchen and the dining room has seating for four. The living room has a gas fireplace, 55" mounted TV, 2 swivel chairs, and a sofa lounger which lowers to offer additional sleeping accommodations for 2 guests. The 2 bedrooms are on opposites sides of the home which offer privacy. At the end of the hallway on each side of the home is where the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are located. Each bedroom offers a queen bed, mounted 43" TV, and large closet space. Adjacent to each bedroom is a full bath. Just outside the kitchen through the sliding glass door is the large covered porch overlooking the Oconaluftee River. There are rocking chairs and tables for you and your guests to enjoy the scenery as well as your morning coffee or a beverage in the evenings. Also on the porch is a gas grill along with a 4 person hot tub. Walking a short distance off the porch is a fire pit and Trex outdoor furniture for seating. The home is located just 5 miles from Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, 20 miles from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, and 10 miles from Bryson City, home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Jennifer was so helpful with suggestions and would reply with answers to my questions very fast. The house is absolutely perfect. The view and location are amazing. You are so close to two different towns but yet secluded in the mountain. I just can’t say enough good things about this house. We would love to come back and bring our two boys with us next time. Plenty of room and space - clean and has everything you can think of. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!

We stayed here for the New Year. The cabin was very homey, and stocked nicely. We could tell that the owner has put a lot of effort in making it comfortable. We will stay here again.

It does not get any better than Christmas in the Smoky's especially when you are staying this the cabin on the river.
Carefuly tucked away hidden in the mountains, but yet so close to the Smoky's. Peaceful, private and screne.
Immaculate, very well stocked, very comfortable beds, pleney of hot water and water pressure.
Hot tub and roaring fire..
Very spacious, yet cozy.
Easy chekc in. Easy to find.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again in a heart beat...Highly recommend this property.

This was such a beautiful place to stay , me and my friends went for a birthday trip and had the best time the first night we went to the casino the second night we stayed in our cozy cabin enjoyed the hot tub a great dinner and a nice fire ! Very home like cabin and the host is amazing very tentative and communicates very well she even provided places we can go I would 1000% recommend this place over and over again ❤️

This cabin is wonderful inside and outside.close to so many places to go see,Rode the blue Ridge Parkway for a while. Everything was so beautiful the trees glowed in the sunshine. The Cabin is so peaceful I sit out on porch and listened to the sound of nature.and surrounded by beauty.And Jennifer was so sweet and so easy to deal with. I appreciate the use of her Cabin. I will be back.

We enjoyed staying in this cozy, wonderful cabin. The hot tub was relaxing in the evenings and the cabin was peaceful and secluded. It had everything we needed. Fishing within walking distance and very close to Cherokee. Hosts were very tentative and quick to answer any questions or offer suggestions in the area. Would definitely stay again!!

More than expected the view from the deck with the water below was amazing. We spent hours on the deck talking listening to music and just being thankful for the parents 55 years of marriage and the wife birthday cant tell her age but we all on social security. Thank you Jennifer for making the inlaws anniversary one to remember. Our host gave great directions and answered any questions we had without delay again thank you so much for helping me to .ake this happen.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was clean and beautiful. Jennifer was super fast in responding to our questions. My daughter and grandson loved the hot tub. The view from the rocking chairs on the front porch was great. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our visit. Just wish there had been more bath towels. We bought beach towels for the hot tub like you requested. We had to wash bath towels and wash cloths while we were there. The cabin was really nice. When we return next time , we may stay in Pigeon Forge. Do you have cabins there too ? Also how long will it be before we get our cleaning refund ? I hope we get it. We left cabin nice , even swept porch off. 😉❤️. Thanks again for having us. We really had a good time

This cabin was more than we could’ve asked for. Great location for our trip, host was so helpful with area suggestions and the property had everything you could possibly need or want. We will definitely book again. Beautiful inside and out - perfect for a relaxing weekend.

We enjoyed our stay. Only tricky part is the single lane dirt access road up the mountain, and driveway access that is full of twists and turns and steep hills. Once you get used to this, it gets easier and even fun. There is no where to do hiking through the woods due to the terrain, except on that single lane road.
Everything else was terrific! We will be back and stay longer.

Very nice property secluded which is what we wanted. The only problem that we had was with the Wi-Fi other than that everything was great.

Very nice. The only thing that I could say is the road is very narrow and if you meet another car, you have to try to find a driveway to back into to get bye.

Perfect cabin for myself and husband. The description was spot on. The only thing that would have made it better would be access to the river. That would be fun! The view was great and we saw an eagle flying up the river. The road is a little intimidating but we didn’t have any problems even in the rain. We were easily able to add a day to our reservation after our plans were rained out.

Loved walking out onto the porch in the morning, relaxing in the hot tub, and viewing the river and mountain scenery from the cabin. Gorgeous! The road getting there and out is a little nerve triggering but we had no issues thankfully. It was great in terms of cleanliness.

This property was fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked and the entire cabin was clean and neat. It was a beautiful cabin with a wonderful porch! The property manager or owners were great about contact. I did have to contact them about a couple things(nothing major) and it was cleared up quick and curtious! We can not wait to book another stay at this peaceful retreat!

Our second stay. We love this spot. The cabin is comfortable, clean, and cute. Great view of the river. Love the hot tub after a long day of travel and hiking. We enjoyed the games provided, wifi was 100%, kitchen outfitted with everything you could need, including the outdoor grill. The location between Bryson City and Cherokee is perfect for touring, shopping, restaurants, and we found a wonderful pub with live music - it was decorated so cute we had to give one of the owners props. We say Elk, beaver, black bear and a paragrine falcon this trip. LOVE. The owner is a gem and very easy to communicate with.

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was everything we wished for and more. The crown jewel of this cabin is the back porch overlooking the river and mountain landscape. We even enjoyed the lightning bugs in the evenings from the rocking chairs. The cabin is just right - we’ll appointed with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. The cabin is very clean and organized and the hot tub was hot and ready to enjoy upon our arrival. Jennifer was a fantastic host checking in only when needed and completely available when we had any questions.

We enjoyed our stay at Trout Creek. The cabin was very comfortable and very well maintained, with everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed-with places to hang clothes, jackets and bath towels, plus space for toiletries. The view of the river was great, and the location was convenient to Bryson City and Cherokee. The road and driveway are not for the faint of heart, but you get used to it!

We had quite a time with the mountain road getting there, because our pal that rented the car opted for a huge SUV. But we laughed it off and had an amazing time. I know the cabin was conveniently located, but we honestly just wanted a place to relax, catch up, and rest. This was perfect! The views were nice, there was very little noise at all, we enjoyed wildlife from the deck, the hot tub was relaxing, and all the creature comforts were available.

The cabin was the perfect place for our vacation. It is located a good distance away from the road and surrounded by nature. The place was clean and charmingly decorated to make you feel like your in the wilderness, even though there were modern amenities for a very comfortable stay. We loved the details that went into the decorations. We also enjoyed many hours sitting and eating on the deck while enjoying the view. The location was also perfect for us to explore the area as it is centrally located to Bryson City, GSMNP, Nantahala, and Cherokee. We would certainly look to stay here again on our return to the area.

The property was excellent in every respect save for the road to get there was a little tricky when an oncoming car appears (fortunately not very often). And the host was an excellent communicator—clear, helpful, and timely.

This home in the treetops was just what we needed. Peace, quiet, a well furnished kitchen and a grill that came in handy for the nights we wanted to just chill around the fire pit. The host, Jennifer was pleasant and very helpful offering a list of things to see and do in the area! Also, great about communicating with any questions about our stay. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return one day!
Clingman’s dome is a must, absolutely beautiful view’s!

Everything you need to enjoy Western NC.. Comfortable lodgings, a great view, peace and quiet, easy access to the park and a cool town. The property is just as described and everything is good quality. The view of the river is great and being on the quietier side of GSMNP was perfect for us.

Ms. Jennifer is a most gracious host. The amenities provided and attention to detail are second to none. This was our first VRBO so we weren't sure what to expect. Expectations met and then some. The check-in process is easier and more convenient then any hotel and we got in and settled in in no time. We enjoyed testing out the new Grand Wagoneer on the twisty, windy road to reach the cabin up on the mountain side. She needed the stretch. Overall, we are so grateful Ms. Jennifer opened up her beautiful home to us and allowed us to spend our few days in the great smokies at trout creek retreat and we look forward to returning sometime soon.

We stayed at this adorable cabin for our first empty nest getaway. It was beyond perfect! The cabin is clean, chic, and has breathtaking views. The owner was very responsive and simply wonderful to communicate with. We will definitely stay here many, many more times!
