1st Floor - Bedroom + Sleeper Sofa, 1 Bath with Mountain Views & Ski In\/Ski Out
About this condo rental
Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex located just steps from the slopes and Snowshoe Village. Parking is free and easy for our guests with a private parking lot which is staffed and secured. Walk out of the building and you are right at the top of the high-speed Ballhooter Lift – you can’t find a more convenient place to stay for easy slope access! If you have kids the indoor play area is right outside of the door. The main lobby includes The Mountain Grind (open 5 days a week (closed Tues/Wed.), 8-11 am (hoping to extend hours with good traffic)- includes quality coffee, hot chocolate, juices, hot breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. The fireplace atrium in the central part of the complex is a relaxing place to get together with friends after a busy day on the mountain. Other atrium areas of the complex have a video arcade, exercise equipment, a movie night area, and a kid’s play structure. There are also vending machines (with credit card readers) throughout including 4 Coca-Cola machines, 2 Pepsi machines, and 2 snack machines. The lower level of the complex houses The Basin (located in the old Comedy Cellar) that offers quick and easy lunch options, Al Dente Ristorante (opening shortly before Christmas) that offers Italian favorites for dinner, Snowshoe's Pre-Ski Program, and conference facilities (seasonally open). Unlike most other buildings at Snowshoe, Mountain Lodge has an outstanding on-site staff, maintenance, and housekeeping staff that can fix most problems fast and with minimal interference with your vacation. Just across the parking lot is the Split Rocks Pool complex with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, and saunas that are open in ski and summer seasons (fee charged). Wildcat Provisions, the main mountain top market is just across the street so you can pick up any last-minute food, beverages, or other supplies you need. Leave your car keys in the condo as you are so close to the village Starbucks, restaurants, and entertainment that you can walk to most places in less than 5 minutes. You can also get to Silver Creek and other areas of the resort by taking the free and convenient shuttle. The shuttle stops right at the main lobby door for pickup. Mountain Lodge 174 is a one-bedroom mountain view unit, located on the main floor. Come right in the building from the parking lot and the condo is right around the corner. No stairs or elevators needed. The condo has a gorgeous views of Shavers Lake and the Mountain Lodge Lawn. The Mountain Lodge Lawn is a viewing area for the new teaching terrain for the Snowshoe's Pre-Ski program. Our condo is east facing; therefore, guest are able to see their children from our unit if they are participating in the pre-ski program. The kitchen has everything you need to dine in - silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes, range, microwave, full-sized refrigerator with pull out freezer with ice maker, toaster, coffee maker, and more. This condo was tidy and is a GREAT LOCATION!
The complaints seen in other reviews are primarily referencing the actual building but lets be honest...a lot majority are outdated. As far as the actual Condo - it has everything you need for a small group. It was my fiance, sister, and 18 year old niece. Can be a bit awkward since it is tight but after some good riding you just lounge anyway. I would recommend you bring a connector TV connector if you want to connect your laptop to watch Netflix. The owners communicated quickly and were very nice.

This was a cozy first floor Condo. Great location. Great parking during the week. Allison was very helpful with questions I had prior to the stay. Would definitely recommend.

We had the best time as a family on our ski trip! Our room was perfect and included everything we needed! We will be recommending to our family and friends! Thank you for a great time!

We have stayed at Mountain Lodge for the past three years due to its ideal location to Ballhooter Lift. Condo was a good value and decently updated, but bathroom could use updates. I liked the hooks and ski/snowboard/boots storage area in the front hallway. Condo is located in front of the indoor playground so it was noisy. TV had closed caption feature turned on and we couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Counter chairs were uncomfortable with the cushioned seats sinking in. The overall Mountain Lodge property is woefully old and outdated and would be nice if management spent money to update the entire lodge. Overall though, we had a nice stay at this condo.

Awesome location, clean unit, everything you need. But beware of the children's playground right outside your door and bedroom window. Who builds an indoor kids playground right outside the door of some of the condos for rent? Very noisy and unpleasant at times. It would be great if you had kids that could use it, but if you want to sleep in a little or go to bed a little early its not good. One morning, someone had their kids playing at 5 in the morning! I had to go out and get them to go somewhere else. Bottom line is, is if you have young kids, it probably would be great, if you don't, and you want a little peace and quiet, for get it.

Super clean and perfect location for the slopes.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and the perfect size for our family of four (5 and 7 yo). The kitchen was well stocked, the only thing missing was measuring cups but not a big deal.
We loved the building and location. It is pretty geared for younger kids. There is an arcade, pool table, ping pong table, board games and a play area. The play area is right outside the room, so it is pretty loud from 9am to 8pm. But we loved that it was so close for the kids.
The view was amazing and you can even see the ski school from the window. You can't beat being able to ski right outside of the building! The building is older but I really do think they are trying to keep it up to date by adding new things.
We will definitely come back.

Great condo. Clean and everything we needed.

The condo we stayed had everything we needed, was clean and provided great access to the slopes. The owner sent us great information for checking in and the location ahead of time.Be sure to save this to your phone or print. The internet in the area in general is hit or miss.
The only issue we had in the room was it being hot. Maintenance came up and tried to help us. In talking with people from other rooms it didn’t seem to an issue with just the lodge that we stayed in. There was fan in the closet & ceiling fan
The check in process was a bear. The staff was very unhelpful. We arrived a little early (as did quite a few people in the lobby). We sat & waited for the room to be finished clean ( that was ok) They never let us low it was ready or what was even the process to figure it out. Luckily we decided to go back up and ask or who knows how long we would have waited. The signage in the lodge itself showing where things are is terrible. That was frustrating but we figured it out and that seemed to be the case for most of the area. Employees couldn’t answer questions and were no help.
We enjoyed our stay. The ski area is good, the condo was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was very informative with directions and the check in process. No complaints at all about the actual room.
We give the condo a 5 star because the issues we had were not the owners fault or the condo.
These were just some things you need to know before you go to make it easier to get around.

Ive never had to write a negative review, but this place was defiantly a one and done. The staff at check in was not friendly, which put a bad start to the two day trip with very little information given. The building really needs an update with multiple leaks dripping from the ceiling around the property.
The apartment was clean and well stocked with a really nice view. The beds were really uncomfortable. The light and fan in the kitchen/dinning room didnt work. House cleaning had left us with only a half roll of toilet paper, so maybe bring your own. The bedroom window is facing the outside hallway, and you can hear everything. Overall for what we paid, Id have probably stayed somewhere else. We did however stay during christmas break so price was higher.

Mountain lodge overall could use some updating in the communal areas. Condo was extremely warm, mid 70’s and we were not able to control it, and wasn’t the cleanest, floors were definitely not cleaned prior to our arrival. The track lighting above the island didn’t work, was dark in there when we weee trying to play games, but we made it work. It was 1/3 of the price of other remodeled units, si you get what you pay for. My boys and I enjoyed our mini ski vacation!

If you’ve ever stayed in ski lodges from the 1980s , this gives off the same vibe! I think this is a good thing, but don’t also expect Mountain Lodge to have the latest amenities. The unit itself was clean, and had enough space for our two tweens and us.

We had a great weekend and this was the perfect place for our family - everything we need, and a great location! Clean and cozy - will definitely stay again on any upcoming trips!

Property is OK. No view of slopes just mountains. Hester is messed up you have to operate it with the circuit breaker. Property maintenance stated the owners will not fix it. Nothing Special just an average place.

We had a great stay. The mountain lodge is in a great location with ample parking in large lot. Convenient to village (walking distance) and easy to catch shuttle to silver creek. We will be back!

When we ski we are basically looking for a place to sleep that is convenient to slopes and this fit for sure. Truly a walk out and ski location also close to village and small grocery store. For these reasons I would have rated the location as a 5 but one thing you should know if you are an early to bed type, the unit is beside an indoor playground that was loud 3 of our 5 nights. The good news is the 10 pm quiet time is enforced so if you are a night person should be ok. I like to go to bed around 8 so that made me a bit grumpy! Check in was also poor, families stacked in the lobby waiting for rooms to be cleaned at 6 pm when we arrived but this is the norm now with the hospitality industry unfortunately, nothing to do with actual unit. Overall pleased other than those issues.
