Our stay at this cabin was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays that we have ever experienced. The cabin was very cozy and had everything you could possibly need. The location was great with only about fifteen minutes to food and other necessities. The mountain scenery was beautiful and the quaint towns of Jefferson and West Jefferson were most enjoyable. Our host made sure that all went well and was always accessible if needed. Don't miss out on this one!

Beautiful cabin, perfect size for our family of four. Very comfortable with lots of extra touches that made it a great place to stay. Great location to go exploring West Jefferson for shopping and restaurants and Grayson Highlands for awesome scenic hiking. Excellent hosts who go out of their way to make sure the visit is the best it can be. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Had it all for a great mountain holiday.

The site was gorgeous. We could hear the river from the deck. Well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds! A great place to relax and connect with our mountain relatives!

Beautiful mountain cabin in a beautiful setting! This cabin is very clean, built well, and maintained beautifully. Located in a safe and secure area. The host was always available and made our visit special filling any needs and giving information of things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed spending time at the fire pit and relaxing on the deck. Great place for spending time with family. We enjoyed our time in the area hiking in Grayson Highlands state park and seeing the wild ponies, hiking on Mount Jefferson, and walking downtown West Jefferson. Delicious food at ‘The Tavern’ in West Jefferson and great pizza from ‘Pie On The Mountain’ in the small town of Lansing. Wonderful cabin for a great mountain time!!

Beautiful area and cabin had all we needed and more. Property owner was very attentive and checked in to ensure we were satisfied. Fire pit area was very nice. Really enjoyed the deck and hummingbirds!

This cottage was so nice it was quiet and relaxing. It was just the place my friends and I need to relax and catch up on our busy lives. The outside was perfect and the inside was so clean and just ss described. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to relax be comfortable. Home away from home

My husband and I rented this property to visit and hike the 3 nearby North Carolina State Parks. The view from the front porch was absolutely beautiful. We observe the skies turn pink and purple during a sunset and watched the fog roll in after a early evening thunderstorm. My soul was renewed! We defiantly will be back but next time with the kids and grandkids to experience kayaking and tubing on the New River.

We had a fantastic stay!The cabin was very pretty and in a serene setting.We had everything that we needed plus more(the available tubes and kayaks were a great perk!) We had an awesome day on the river. Julius was the best host that I have ever rented from.He was very responsive and gave me a lot of helpful information prior to our visit. I would highly recommend this cabin for a fantastic get away.

Nice wood house. Beautiful wood interior. Comfortable and well-equipped with all you need. Nice yard with trees and hammock. Location is close enough to West Jefferson to go in for dinner after hiking or canoeing. Owner communicates and is easy to work with. Very sharp left-hand turn to go up the driveway.

We had a wonderful stay in the mountains. The cabin is very quiet, and Julius was an attentive host. The place was exactly as described and we had a fantastic holiday weekend. Thanks for the hospitality; we highly recommend it!

The owner Julius was always checking to make sure my family was having the best experience possible even when his wife and him had to be half way across the country taking care of a family emergency.

We had a wonderful stay in the Tingen Cabin! It was exactly as is described in the listing. So many amenities and incredibly clean. The beds were very comfortable. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed the hammock, outdoor shower and fire pit, as well as tubing and kayaking on the river. The porch was so peaceful and we enjoyed seeing so many birds as we relaxed or ate meals outside. Julius was an incredible host! He stayed in contact with us and his information was extremely helpful as we were new to the area. Julius and Julie have really taken the time to make this cabin a special home away from home!

We are avid Vrbo stayers and this stay was at the top. Not only was the listing accurate, the owner exceeded every expectation we had. He was absolutely one of the nicest people that we have dealt with. Just go and enjoy rafting on the river! They provide the rafts and kayaks. Our family had a wonderful time and it was because of the owner's communication about the area. Absolutely superb. And the house was perfect. Beautiful view, the sound of the River, peaceful! We will be back.

What more do you need this home was perfect for our family. Clean, Enough space too spread out, everything you could ask for provided even coffee for the Kurig. Private but close to anything you would want to do or just do nothing at all. Could not ask for a more gracious host. PERFECT.

Our family enjoyed a mountain stay in this adorable cabin along the river. It was very well maintained and stocked and obviously loved with TLC. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the kids loved the downstairs and spiral staircase. Wished it was warmer weather so we could have enjoyed the river and kayaks! Lovely to hear the river from the porch. Would definitely love to visit again!

The gas fireplace was very nice after trout fishing that chilly morning. Julius checked in on us to make sure everything was good. His directions to the trout stream were spot on. We would highly recommend his cabin to anyone ! Awesome place ! Bring some corn to feed the deer. They were awesome to watch !

Loved our stay. The house was so clean, welcoming and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. We even saw 9 deer and 2 rabbits in one day! Julius was an amazing host and check on us regularly. We will definitely stay there again if available.

We arrived and my first thought was we didn’t book our stay long enough. We had a great time with son, daughter and grandkids celebrating my sixty ninth year on earth. House was fully stocked with anything you need plus we also seem to always pack to much food and items we think we need but never use. The owner checked on us often to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Couldn’t ask for a nicer home to rent.

All of the comforts of home, down to the cozy throw blankets and fire place! Beds slept wonderfully, kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with all of the essential! Beautiful views, deer visits in the morning and late afternoon. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts, Thank you Julius and Julie! We will be back soon ❤️

Nice house, Great communication with the property owner. They are very friendly and have a ton of knowledge of the area. House was supper clean and setup perfect for children in the lower level.

This little cabin packed a punch of warmth and hospitality. It fit our family beautifully and the host, Julius, was one of the most considerate and hospitable hosts I’ve ever interacted with. The view paired with the sound of the River below us was a delight. The outdoor fire pit was immaculate. They really seemed to think of everything and were sincerely glad to share their home with us! What an uncommon and pleasant experience. Not only will we stay here again, but we will tell everyone visiting the area to do the same!

This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom fully-stocked cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 6! With a fireplace AND a firepit on the outside, Julius and his welcoming and giving personality made us feel like family from the very first phone call, all the way through to our "not wanting to leave" departure!! Even days before arriving, Julius had a list of recommended places to eat and visit within the local area to make things much easier! This place is very clean and we will definitely be visiting again in the future!! Do not hesitate, do not think twice...book this place now!! 10 out of 10 stars!!!
