We had a ladies’ weekend away and really enjoyed this place as well as the nearby area (cute shops and pastry place with outdoor seating by fire pits at the Four Corners). The only thing I wish I’d known ahead of time would have been to bring along some basics that I assumed would be on hand, like paper towels/napkins/kleenex, hand soap, and a couple of dish towels. Otherwise, the house was cozy, spotless, and beautiful! Would love to come back during a warmer season, too, to take advantage of the decks and water views!

The Salt Marsh Beach House made a good base for us while visiting family in the area. The house is relatively new, spacious, was immaculate, and has great views of the adjacent salt marsh. We saw deer, herons, geese, gulls, and ducks out the window. The Sakonnet River is visible over the roofs of neighboring homes, especially from the upper balcony. The neighborhood is densely settled and the house has little yard, but it was very quiet while we were there in November.
Access to the house is via a long flight of outside stairs, and carrying luggage up and down was a bit challenging. The steps were icy a couple of mornings due to freezing fog.
The owner was slow to respond to communication a few days before we arrived, but once we were there was prompt to respond and sent over a couple of items which the cleaners had forgotten to restock. Access information was not provided until the day of arrival.
We enjoyed walking on the Fogland Marsh Beach with our dog - only 100 feet away - and on other local beaches and had a great hike in the coastal oak-holly forest at nearby Weetamoo Woods. We also enjoyed food from the bakery and grill at Tiverton Corners.

House is beautiful and updated with nice landscape. Very clean!!! Has 3 spacious bedrooms. Bathroom amenities were nice and the linens and towels were very luxurious. Lots of closet space. Loved all the outdoor spaces with the fire pit, dining, lounge chairs for viewing on the upper levels. Wish the weather had been nicer to enjoy the outdoor spaces more. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating and communication was great…. very responsive. The house is just a short drive to nice bakery/cafe and also a bar and grill and only about 10 min to some other local good restaurants. It is a very quiet area and is about 35 min to Newport and other bigger areas. Three of us rented this house as a girls weekend getaway and it was perfect!

We stayed here as a couple for 2 nights as part of our road trip in New England. This property was immaculately presented and clean. Everything had been provided (except a corkscrew 😬) to make this a perfect place to stay. The views are spectacular and very convenient for the Tiverton area-which is beautiful and Newport. Thank you Richard for our stay

We stayed at SMBH for a week this September with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The property is really clean and comfortable. The host has high standards for their guests experience at their rental. The views of the salt marsh make this location particularly special. The little neighborhood is absolutely authentically charming. It was so convenient to walk the dog and stroll along the breathtaking Sakonnet River. Andrew, the host, was very easy to communicate with. Easily a 5 star stay!

We loved our stay at the salt marsh beach house. The house was clean, open, and bright. The rooms were cozy and comfy, especially the primary suite that encompasses the entire top floor. We loved grabbing breakfast at Groundswell and enjoying a quiet slow morning on the upper deck. Our pups especially loved the deck and watching the sea gulls. The location is perfect! We loved that it was steps from the beach. The house is also an easy drive from some lovely hiking trails. We enjoyed the house and beach so much we decided to skip our visit to Newport! The only drawback (and it’s a small one) is that the house is very close to others. Our coonhound is naturally talkative and excitable on the beach, so we were worried about disturbing the neighborhood. We will absolutely be back, it’s truly the perfect location for a quiet vacation.

Clean, conveniently located, and functional. Ocean breezes and gentle wave sounds with windows open. Easy walk to nearby beach and short drive to coffee, restaurants, produce stands, winery, etc.

A beautiful property with stunning views and master suite. The house sits at the end of a lane in the High Hill neighborhood. Beautiful views of the marsh and Sakonnet River. The house was impeccably clean and furnished in a minimalist coastal theme. If you can’t relax here then you probably are incapable of relaxing.

Pros: Beautiful marsh views from primary suite. Very well stocked. Tasteful furnishings in good condition. Quiet. Cons: Unattractive neighborhood with houses very close together. View is only good in one of four directions. TVs and toilet did not work. Reported both. The TV and was finally fixed at the end of our six-day stay. This was apparently a problem with the cable operator. The toilet was not fixed so we had to use the first floor bathroom. Bed and pillows in primary suite were not comfortable. Overall, this is not a luxury property but delivers reasonable value for the money.

My daughter booked this house for a getaway that included our dogs. The house is inviting from the moment you walk in - light-filled, modern and open, with large windows and lovely views, a well-equipped kitchen, and a stunning master suite upstairs. There are two levels of outdoor decks, which we used daily, and sunrise on the marsh is a real treat. Multiple beaches are close by, and we also enjoyed our walks along the nearby stone-fenced country roads. The neighbors were all quite friendly, and while there was plenty to do in the area, we also enjoyed our time relaxing at home, where we made special memories. As a landscape painter, I was delighted by the ever-changing skies over the marsh. We hope to return! Thank you for a wonder-filled stay!

Well equipped, lovely home. Perfect base to explore the beautiful area.

Beautiful modern home extremely well maintained. There is a very short walk to a small beach and a slightly longer walk (or a 2 minute drive) to a larger beach. The beautiful views are seen from the upstairs master suite which is huge and wonderful. The best restaurants can get booked up even on weekdays so reserve before you come.

Even though we did not get the best weather, we enjoyed Salt Marsh Beach House tremendously! This is our fourth stay and it was perfect. The house is lovely! We took walks, read, ate at Groundswell (a favorite), and watched the bunnies, deer, and opossum in the yard next door. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Can't wait till our time at SMBH in October.

There are great places to stay that people rave about. I am glad to rave about SMBH and how close to perfect it it is. It beats any resort you can name.
Host/Owner is superb, not that we needed for anything. EVERYTHING is just as advertised.
Bring wine, a good book, your dog if you have one and enjoy all that SMBH has to offer.
I will be jealous you are there and not us!!!

This property is beyond compare. Beautiful, peaceful, tastefully decorated, close to everything. As a wildlife photographer, I was in 7th heaven. I took pictures from the upper deck at dawn and dusk. Amazing photo opportunities!! I miss SMBH already.

Andrew has provided a wonderfully appointed retreat in an amazing location. Steps from a soft sand beach and surrounded by gorgeous salt marsh views. We were greeted with bird songs in the mornings and soothing waves in the evenings. The house is beautiful, immaculate, and has everything you'd need for a 5-star stay. So relaxing and a great place to recharge. Location is great for shops, gardens, and scenic drives throughout Tiverton, Bristol and surrounding area. Thank you, Andrew, for seamless communication, your tips, and providing exactly what we needed. We loved it and will be looking forward to coming back. Best, C&N

Great spot. The house is very nice. It was typical April weather, a bit chilly. Still couldn't stop us from walking on the beach and using the fire pit or the gas fireplace.

What a great home! The location is great, you can hear the ocean from every window, and if it’s not a view of the ocean you’re seeing, it’s the salt marsh. Very comfortable, very responsive owner who is an all-around lovely person from my experience with him. We’ll be back!

A beautiful house in a beautiful spot. We had a very relaxing weekend at SMBH. Water views from every room, the salt marsh and the bay. Private beach to walk on - had it to ourselves in mid February.
House had everything, fireplace was great for cool days. We will be back.

Salt Marsh Beach House was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Came up to visit our older daughter at college and tour another college with our younger daughter it was so nice to be all together as a family have an amazing dinner we made together plus all the Utensils for cooking were there the home is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The ability to take the dogs with us was so amazing they loved taking walks down to the water. Waking up to the water views and sounds of crashing waves while sleeping was so relaxing. Andrew the host made everything so seamless with his communication and it he was such an accommodating host. We will definitely be back again. Thanks again Martin & Ellen

We loved our stay at Salt March Beach House during the quiet season in coastal RI! Waking up to the sound of the ocean and walking along the water with our pup was wonderful. The house was one of the most comfortable rentals we had every stayed in and was well stocked with everything we needed! Tiverton was lovely and peaceful and we enjoyed the cafe and shopping just a short few minutes away. We loved it!!

If you want quiet, yet only minutes to Rhode Island cities, this is the house. Gorgeous water views, clean and fully outfitted house with dreamy white linens and towels. Stocked kitchen, all appliances, gas fireplace to take the chill off. If you forgot something. It’s probably there. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Very responsive and caring host helped us celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The VRBO pictures don't even do this place justice. It is even more spectacular in person!! Andrew is the greatest host and they have thought of everything without exception!
You will never want to go home! Enjoy as we did 11/17 - 11/22 on a windy cold week but still couldn't have been nicer and we plan on coming back time and time again. Thanks again Andrew!! Tim & Michelle + (Bella & Sadie)

My husband and our yellow lab Woody loved our stay! The deck alone would be worth it, but the proximity to the beach puts it over the top. The local restaurants and coffee shops are amazing, and there are lots of great local hikes. And Newport and Providence are just a short drive away. The home was so comfortable and spacious with great light. The fire pit was cozy too! We had local Rhode Island wine and potatoes :) We hope to return.

Beautiful, clean salt marsh beach house. My husband and I and our pooch thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Quiet dead end street with beautiful, relaxing views from the top deck. There is everything you could need for your stay including luxurious linens, firewood for the firepit, (we didn’t get around to using this though), keurig, beautiful bathrooms complete with toiletries, gas fireplace in living room. We hope to make a return visit in the future. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

This was our second time renting and we were not disappointed.

Lovely property. All the comforts of home . When moving in it was great to have empty cabinets & refrigerator for our groceries. Empty closets and dresser drawers in all the bedrooms made it sooo easy to unpack! The best view was from the upper deck which was a bit deceiving.

Amazing Honeymoon
My wife and I spent our honeymoon at this wonderful place, and we could not have made a better choice. The ocean, the marsh, the birds gave us the connection to nature that soothes our souls. Gazing at the amazing full moon out on the deck made for some special romantic moments. The property itself gave us both the sense of luxury and comfort. The proprietor was so easy to work with: so responsive and helpful, so pleasant and chill. I highly recommend you stay at the private, special property.
