If you’re looking to get away, this newly updated house, nested on a magical rock surrounding beautiful Clear lake, is the retreat for you! Enjoy panoramic views of the lake and migrating birds. Relax on a private deck shaded by mature oak trees and watch the osprey’s gliding below you or use the house as a jumping off point. Mendocino National Forest, just 20 minutes away, offers endless possibilities: hop on a mountain bike and explore the local trails, hike, fish, and hunt. The home is serviced by a water source, which is a natural surface well, which during warm months may have a natural smell. Water is safe and is filtered and backed washed daily during backwash cycles. You may hear a water sound coming from the laundry room during the system cycle. Additionally, we recommend bringing bottled water as a preferred source for drinking water during your stay.

The view of the lake from a higher advantage point is understated. A small but relatively easy walk down to the dock is where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife at a closer vantage point. There is plenty of parking and places to walk the grounds above the house which is great if you have a pet. The house has all the amenities for a longer stay period. The individual room climate controls are nice and the furniture very comfortable.
The host, Quincy, is very responsive to any questions you may have about the place. The hospitality to make your stay comfortable is top notch.

A fantastic option for anyone looking for a quiet time in and around the clear lake area. The property has all of what you need, and nothing of what you don't. It's clearly well maintained--one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in. We look forward to making a return trip.

The views are stunning!!! The house is beautiful and kitchen is well stocked with everything you need including snacks. What a nice touch! We stayed on the deck the entire trip because of the beautiful 180 degree views and the wonderful breeze. Don’t miss the sunrises and sunsets.

Everything was amazing!! Starting with the great communication with the host. Having arrived, we found a very well-equipped house (especially the kitchen!) with absolutely everything we needed. The view was spectacular, we loved chilling outside. Thank you so much for this experience, we'll definitely be back another time.

The view was amazing the property is stocked with kitchen and bath essentials. Our stay was during a heat wave and there is no window coverings (blinds, curtains or drapes). Later in the day the temperature inside was uncomfortable. The AC units could not keep up and keep up and I do believe it was due to the heat wave. Both beds were uncomfortable we left Monday morning and got a hotel room due to not sleeping well because the beds was uncomfortable. Would I stay here again? Yes, with better mattresses.

We came to work in Clearlake and it was a nice place to decompress. Saw a bald eagle catch a fish in the lake and deer along the drive to the property

The home is very well renovated, and the views are amazing. The host left an assortment of wine and snacks, and we had pretty much everything we needed for the weekend. There is a mostly fenced area on the side of the home which worked well for my dogs. Be prepared to drive at least 20 minutes to get anywhere else, along very winding roads. This was fine for our purposes, but this may be difficult if you are trying to do/see more in the area. The WiFi was a bit spotty while we were there, but I am not sure if that is typical or not, and we were still able to stream and do most things with some interruption. As others have said, there is a pretty constant noise outside of the master bedroom, and the water from the shower does have a smell due to the lake. Overall, though, I would definitely stay here again if we are looking for a getaway!

Very amazing house with stunning views. Impressed with the cleanliness of the house upon arrival. Well stocked kitchen for cooking which is good since any food/restaurants are at least 15-20 minutes driving distance. We enjoyed spending time on the deck and in the living room taking in the views.
Recommend any guest considering staying that are sensitive to noise at night bring ear plugs. In the master, there is constant noise outside from something (water pump/generator?) that went all night, not super loud but definitely would bother some.
Neighbor's dogs would roam in the driveway, though super friendly, just keep an eye if your dogs are not used to off leash dogs approaching them.
Overall would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rock House- the photos really say it all! We were greeted with snacks and a super clean house. The only issues with our stay were related to the overall infrastructure of Clearlake. The water in the home was nearly undrinkable and resulted in an odor when showering or using the sink. I'd definitely suggest bringing a pack of bottled water with you. Other than that, it is a fantastic place and a great spot for a quiet and relaxing weekend with beautiful views.

This property is very clean and comfortable with phenomenal views of the lake. The location is quiet and dog friendly. The host is very responsive. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would rent this property again.

The house was totally remodeled. Everything was beautifully done. Kitchen has all the dishes, utensils etc needed. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms perfect. The drive off of Hwy 20 thru hills was so enjoyable. The best part of all was the view of Clearlake. The sunrises and sunsets were magnificent. Can't say enough good about the owner, Quincy. Very accommodating and available. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay and definitely would like to stay again but for a longer stay. Very highly recommend this Clearlake vacaction rental.
