Location
The apartment is on the first floor. The kitchen and all the stuff and drawers were dirty. The fridge was dirty also.

I'll go again if I decide to go back to Durham!
The location was very convenient, the house really comfortable and the decoration was simple but very interesting the detail here and there. Mark, the owner was very nice with us. Durham is worth to pay a visit.
I don´t like Nescafe because their bad marketing reputation in poor countries. To contact the Host & Stay just to clarify something was really difficult and the instruction to open the black box to get the keys were not very accurate. Fortunately Mark, the owner was there and he saved us. One minute after I booked the place with Booking.com The Host & Stay charged my card with 75% of the total amount and one minute later with the other 25%. Later they sent me an email asking me to pay another 25GBP more o to leave a deposit of 250GBP in case anything was damaged.

Clean and comfortable stay in an impressive apartment with quirky features. Loved it!

The water pressure in the shower on the lower floor was quite low, however it worked so it was fine. We couldn’t make the coffee maker work, despite consulting the internet. Still not sure if it didn’t work or if we just didn’t get it 😆, so perhaps some instructions would help? Also, only half the toaster worked. Again, these details didn’t spoil our stay, I just wouldn’t want you to think we’d damaged anything.

5* stay
All the bedrooms were a decent size and the beds were really comfortable. There is good open plan livingroom kitchen as well as a separate dinning room. The property was clean and had a homely feel. There are essential items like iron + board, washing up liquid and sponges, toilet roll, shampoo and conditioner which was great as we didn’t think to bring some of these things.
Nothing major. We would have liked a frying pan and tongs for cooking breakfast but the oven worked just fine. There were some parts of the property that weren’t toddler friendly. In the annex, there was a glass panel missing from the banister over looking the stairs. We had to block this off with chairs to ensure our toddlers safety.

Excellent
The venue was new and therefore everything was clean and fresh Bedrooms were good and comfortable (see improvements that could be made) Good quality windows (keeps the road noise out) White goods all good Parking was available and essential - available at all times. Best thing of all was the host Mark, whose business was downstairs and he was always available for any queries. He was very welcoming and a charming man Definitely would stay there again
A few improvements could be made: A long mirror in the bedrooms for the ladies A chair in the two main bedrooms Better lighting in the bedrooms A more comfortable sofa in the lounge area. The venue is for six people, but there was insufficient seating in the lounge area The bathroom in the attic required a chair, a mirror and a small table to put things on The attic bedroom was too dark and needs to be made more welcoming as a bedroom (board up the roof and paint everything white) - more vellux windows - more ceiling lights required Insufficient crockery for six people Hallway light needs a two-way switch (one in the hall and another at the top of the stairs All the cleaning materials situated in the toilet room is not necessary. Either the cleaners bring it all with them or it should be stored in the attic bedroom somewhere out of sight, so the toilet could actually be used

We had a great couple of days and the lovely property made our stay in Durham even better.
The property was exceptional, kept very well with everything you could need. My family and I were very impressed. A lovely conversion of an historic property. It was also very easy to find and gain access to.
We didn't quite understand how the heating worked and the location of the thermostat. Other than that it was great.
