Pleasant

Swimming pools and beach are at close proximity. Lots of options for dinner! Rich breakfast. Lots of different water slide pools for children! Most of the personnel were really helpful and cheerful! We were given a room far away from the party pools so it was quiet and peaceful!

The buildings could use renovation. Kids club hours and activities are limited so if kids would like to pass a day away from pools and swimming there is not much to do! I would say however that the worst/scariest part for us, having young children, was the absence of lifeguards in the pools. Neither the water slide ones nor the normal hotel swimming pool! With so many children of different ages and so many slides there should be at least one lifeguard in every pool!

We enjoyed nice beach and water park . My kids never get bored. We stayed in the family room at the far end and it was very quiet and comfortable.

Very good

Definitely worth the amount spent, an all inclusive package is what you need. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. The place has 3 restaurants not including the bars that has snacks. The room is good enough for two people, and park and water activities was so much fun. The place is good for all family, friend or just a quick getaway. The hotel staff were very friendly.

Poor

The room was nice.

It was way over priced. Too loud. Too many people. My children couldn't even get into the pool. The Lines for slides were too long.. There was an entire section for over 18 year olds labeled VIP which was very inappropriate for children. This was NOT a place for children. The food was terrible. So I spent $500 for what? To sleep in a bed.

Overall, it is a great place for a family vacation.

The hotel has several swimming pools with various sizes of waterslides, so small kids and teenagers/adults can enjoy the waterslides. It has its private beach and there is also the option to enjoy various water sport (for extra money). The rooms are nice, there are many different types of rooms. Some have good view and a balcony, some don't. We came as a large family so we had 4 different rooms and we also asked to see some options. In my opinion it is more important to ask for a balcony than a sea view, since in the balcony you can put the wet cloths to get dry for the next day. Some rooms with sea view don't have a balcony. The food in the hotel is really exceptional, I have been in several "all-inclusive" hotels, none of the hotels had the abundance that star beach is offering. Every breakfast, lunch, dinner, there was a huge variety of food, some selections are permanent, while there are also alternate dishes in every meal. Beside the main dinning room, there are also several smaller dinning areas near the pools, and they offer both drinks and some selection of food. The kids liked it a lot, getting out of the pool and getting some food immediately.

There is two things we would like to mention that requires improvement, and the reason we gave the hotel 9 and not 10 score. We arrived with a large family, so we got 4 rooms. Some rooms were clean, but 2 rooms were delivered before they cleaned them. It was not so bad to wait for them to be cleaned, but during the process of waiting, at one room the toilet was dirty and we noticed the cleaning lady didn't clean it at all. We had to ask them again to clean it and they didn't use bleach, so we asked again that they clean with bleach. Knowing that by default they didn't clean with bleach gave us a bad feeling. Another minor thing that can be improved, we were 5 people at a single room (room suitable for 6), and everyday when they replaced the towels, they gave us only 4 new towels and we had to call the reception to ask for more, this happened several times.

Awesome facility to spend relaxing vacation.

Awesome location to spend time with family. Star suit with sea view is fabulous. All pool bar were neat and clean. Bar tenders are very friendly and jolly by nature.

Should arrange some own cruise activities so customers will not have to struggle to get good cruise activities.

Great family resort

We really enjoyed our stay here. The front staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They answered any questions we had and also assisted us with transportation during a day before our check out. We had a great room overlooking the sea. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. We had full access to the bars and restaurants located at the resort in the all inclusive package and the selection of food was great. We were especially pleased to be able to have Cretan cuisine offered as well. There are quite a few water play areas for the kids which kept them busy. They did have entertainment nightly and a kids corner where they had an activity for the children. we also had front access to the beach with chairs an umbrellas available for those who chose the all inclusive package.

The public bathroom facilities may have needed more attention but understandably there are hundreds of people coming and going throughout the day.

Great island, nice hotel, one week too late.

Beautiful beach and great landscape, plenty of great waterslides. It was a bit cold in early November, but the sea was still good to swim in. The food was great and varied, staff was very nice. There were plenty of things to discover (a museum nearby, cart racing, modern minigolf, the mountains,...). Bed was comfortable.

The room was noisy, with cart race track and lobby bar nearby. Ants in the room finding every bit of food in the backpack. We were there in the last week of the season and - contrary to what had been confirmed by email - several activities disappeared over the course of the week (even two billard tables were rolled out) and the food selection was reduced (even though still plentiful). They could have waited just two more days to carry away the beach equipment.

Beautiful place.

Everything was perfect. The food is very delicious and varied, there is always a different selection at lunch and dinner.Cleanliness was outstanding everywhere.The hotel has a beautiful garden.The center of Hersonissos can be reached within a quarter of an hour's walk.

The bed is narrow. The air conditioner in the room did not work. The drinks within the all inclusive service are not good, they taste bad.

facilities were great, food was diverse, the Chinese restaurant was great. room was big, with view.

some of the staff could have been nicer, but overall was good service. the hotel is built in separate buildings, our room was located far from the main restaurant and pool, would have been great to have a cart service for the far buildings.

Few beach area and sun beds available at any time

Small room and away from the main building and also poor information provided at the check in. Also all seafood was frozen (not fresh) and same foods every day.

Good all inclusive resort, avoid cloudy days

The slides are great, there is a wide variety. My kids and I enjoyed them a lot. They serve good beer in the bars. Everything is pretty clean. The food is reasonable, the meat is great. The beach is really beautiful and the atmosphere is fun. The rooms were good, the AC worked. Towels were replaced daily.

There are strict rules that don't work with being a great resort. Every person gets one towel, which is not enough when you want to lie on a dry towel and also dry yourself. You get two bottles of water per room and it doesn't matter if you have 4-5 people in the room or only one. The "cool" bars are not all inclusive, one bar includes espresso the other isn't, very confusing. In case you have to checkout few hours before the flight ,then you don't have a way to take a shower. Coffee is bad, all the tea is with caffeine and in the bars there is alternative milk. In the case of cloudy or rainy weather,there is nothing in the hotel to do. Don't be placed next to the pool bar, it hosts shows till 11 pm with loud music, which is annoying when you have tired little kids. Bar employees can be rude for legitimate requests and some don't understand English well.

overall it was a good trip for the value. this place has good potential but needs some work in a few areas.

couldn't throw toilet paper in toilet... property was really broken up- the night entertainment was lacking, you couldn't see the shows. The snacks that were all inclusive such as fries were soggy and not good.
