Location and interior. Breakfast was sumptuous. Try the restaurant if you get a chance.
It can get really hot even with the fan on. Visited on August 2023.

Great location, rooms are modern and well equipped.
With fully equipped kitchen, I wish I had some minimal amount of coffee left in the room instead of waiting for supermarket to open and buy coffee in the large portion.

The restaurant for dinner was very good. The town is beautiful and the hotel is in the perfect location.

I wanted a room with a view of the Rhein from a balcony and I got exactly that. A 1BR apartment, Cabernet, modern and well equipped.

The staff was very nice. The location was nice. The rooms were comfy.
Our room wasn’t stocked with tissues and we had a very low supply of toilet paper. One morning the coffee machine was broke so there was no coffee and since it was on a Sunday nothing was opened nearby. I believed that there should of been a backup plan. The location was very nice and quiet but a little too far from Amsterdam centre.

Loved the town of Bacharach. We stayed in a large 2 bedroom apartment located a short walk from the hotel. It had an amazing shower and towels. Wished we had longer here. Breakfast was available at the hotel and had the usual continental variety with coffee bought to your table.
When there is no elevator we always wish we had packed lighter. We knew before going but at least the stairs are of good quality and wide enough to make dragging a suitcase up. Worth it when you get there!

This was the second time staying at this hotel. We stayed there 10 years ago. It did not disappoint. Lovely breakfast. Very nice, spacious, clean room. Wonderful stay in one of the most beautiful small towns on the Rhine.
Nothing.

A-lovely hotel with bagfuls of character. Great location in a beautiful town. An excellent breakfast with great service.

+ Room exceptionally clean, and with superb facilities.
+ Excellent standard and quality of bathroom.
+ Superb range of items for breakfast (though a little more fresh fruit would be nice).
+ Very impressive breakfast/dining room.
- Top floor room offered no interesting view, and smells from the kitchen in the morning.
- Restaurant menu is very disappointing and limited (essentially nothing for vegetarians).
- Lots of stairs and a small lift (understandable in an old building, but something to be aware of for older guests or those with lots of luggage).
- Strange that breakfast tables were all assigned to guests (when there was plenty of space available). And allocation changed each day, so it was a game to find your table each morning.
- In spite of all such good facilities, we found the room price rather inflated.

Very nice and cute hotel. Clean and spacious room. The parking arrangement for the car was perfect.
The breakfast was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. We will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bacharach.

Everything was wonderful and felt like going back into a fairy tale. The room was wonderful and having a balcony was extra special. Especially after a long day biking the Rhine, it was great to sit and have a glass of wine and just enjoy the view. The staff was professional and so friendly. Their restaurant was delicious and just to sit outside and enjoy the town was fantastic.
I realize us Americans like our air conditioning. If I had to give a negative it would be no air conditioning. However, they did supply a fan which was great. I would advise travelers to just remember that Germany itself does not have many places with air conditioning.

The room was well equipped with a kitchen, it was spacious & the I’m beds comfortable. It had a nice view of the church & castle. The location was good for visiting the castles in the area.
I thought I had book us into the main old hotel that was pictured. I wasn’t aware that there was another, newer one down the street (you can’t even see the main hotel from it) & that was disappointing. Be aware that there isn’t any air conditioning & you need to leave the windows open & the train is less than a block away with only a few trees between you & it gets noisy. Plus, there are no screens, so there are a ton of bugs to deal with, especially in the morning.
Note that there isn’t an elevator (which is the case in a lot of European buildings) & the 4th floor is a long trek with heavy suitcases. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
The restaurant still isn’t open & there wasn’t a ton of options for food in the little town, while we were there.
Also, front desk was closed when we arrived at 6:30pm, but there is a buzzer to ring them for check in/out.

Having stayed here a number of times, this is just such a pleasing place to stay, with good rooms, good quality food and it’s just so well situated.
Nothing at all.
