The location is fantastic near the university on the outer edge of Soho with plenty of access to the Tube, taxis, and food delivery. It's immaculately clean, the staff is very efficient and kind, you feel safe, and the free breakfast and free hot beverage machine is a nice bonus.

There is no lift, be prepared to climb stairs a lot. The rooms are a bit small if you're a large person but that's normal for the UK.

Good breakfast, full english breakfast is one of the options. Nice staff. Room was clean and nice. Hotel is located near a tube station so everything is practically close. Bed was comfortable, had a good night sleep. Area is quiet.

the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast ladies lovely. The room was comfortable and looked better than in the pictures on booking.com. It is conveniently located for nights out in the theatre. Overall the stay in this 2* hotel exceeded my expectation.

A kettle would be a great addition to the room

The property was lovely; it was well-kept and centrally located. The staff were all kind (day manager helped me with my bags) and cheerful (amazing breakfast staff).

Our room was a bit warm and we couldn’t figure out how to open the window.

The staff were very friendly. Location was amazing! And it was nice to be able to leave our luggage at the hotel because we were early for check in.

I found it odd that there was no mirrors in the toilet or bathrooms - an item you’d usually expect to see. Also, the toilet was down a short flight of stairs which wasn’t ideal for my mum who struggles with stairs (and the hotel has no lift). The hotel has a very old decor which we don’t mind but actually it probably could do modernising in some places. The bedroom was very small with little room to move around each other (2 people). We couldn’t even open and lay out our suitcases anywhere. The temperature was baking and with no air con, we had to keep the window open all night and as we’re in central london, that meant very little sleep. The base of the bed had no platform sheet on which is very unusual for a hotel. Also, there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room. You have to go back down to the ground floor to get one from the vending machine (they’re free). Breakfast selection was odd… they alternate between sausage and tomato every day which is bizarre, and not useful for my mum who is a fussy eater and only has tomatoes and bacon for breakfast. Also.. my spoon was filthy but they quickly changed that for me.

The room and shared spaces were clean and location of the hotel was great, near metro station. Breakfast was good.

Breakfast was only untill 9am. The stairs were very steep up to the room with no elevator.

Easy, smooth, no hassle checking in and out, nice clean room. Had almost everything I needed. Friendly staff. Shower was nice. Top location and room view was nice.

No 'do not disturb' signs, room service entered in a couple of my mornings (around 10/11), one instance even three times (different people) within 15 minutes even though I kept saying no thanks. No coffee or tea in room, but appreciated the instant coffee from a vending machine in lobby and (great) coffee shop next door. Breakfast only between 7-9 which was too early for me (had late plans) so I paid for nothing.

I was seeking a true London experience in a local hotel. This hotel did not disappoint. The location and ease of travel was a huge perk, but the accommodations, food, and staff were exceptional in every way. I would love to come back and stay again. There was some remodeling going on during the visit, but they did a great job of keeping it minimal and not a an issue for residents.

This is an old building, so you hear a lot of creeks and groans as people walk around. Early risers or late-nighters can cause some noise, but nothing too bad. Definitely not so bad as to outweigh all the positives.

the location was a dream.

the whole hotel was askew. beds were very narrow which wouldn’t be such a problem, but seeing that I had to be careful the whole time not to fall out of it because the whole room was crooked and leaned on one side.

very clean place, probably the cleanest budget accommodation I’ve ever stayed at. staff were nice.
