Let me say that this is a wonderful apartment with one exception. It was clean, easy to find, inexpensive, nicely furnished and Sol was very helpful. The only problem we had was that a flamenco bar is located directly below and it rocked until 3 or 4 am every night. So bring earplugs & sleeping pills....and it will be wonderful!

The plus side is the location. The one bedroom quarters are located on 2nd floor, 4 flights of stairs to climb. The stairway is old, uneven, and extremely slippery (likely due to the varnish like finish). I slipped and almost fell down stairway but caught myself with the handrail. The weather was extremely hot (~90-104 farenheit and apartment was uncomfortably warm even with air conditioners on full time. The 'king size' bed is 2 twin mattresses pushed together (which seems quite common). However, the bed sheets were also individual twin sheets, which was frustrating. The shower stall is incredibly small, so much so, a large person cannot turn around. There were 3 people occupying the unit, and it was somewhat small for that many people. The exhaust fan in the kitchen did not work well, so when we cooked, the entire apartment was filled with smoke.

Very nice apartment in the middle of everything. Despite that the busy restaurant and bar scene is literally outside the front door of the building, the apartment is very quite as it is situated high up and towards the back. Apartment is very well equipped. Also, Carmen was very kind, professional and service minded in receiving us and giving an intro to the apartment as well as some good tips for our stay. Highly recommended & I will go back!

The location is the cool center of Madrid: pedestrian streets to walk, small taberns to taste spanish wine and jamon, little shops. Less than a 5 min. walk there is museum area with the 3 main of the city. The apartament was like a big hotel suite: carefully designed, comfortable furniture, tidy and clean, coffee and tea and maps of the city! Madrid is a great place to eat outside but if you want to have breakfast in the apartment you have fridge and shops near by. We'll repeat when coming back to Madrid.

Great location if you want a real Madrid experience.Beautiful neighborhood close to PUERTA DEL SOL and PRADO museum. Beautiful and cozy apartment with everything you might need, two double beds in one bedroom, great building. Landlord is really helpful and kind. I would love to stay here again!
