Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Only issue we had was our room was very dark. Not much lighting at all. The bathroom also was very dark

This hotel is definitely showing its age. It's very outdated and run down for its price range. It's not "bad" per se, but it is certainly not a nice hotel. Shower/tub was old and ugly with previous screw holes patched. I certainly wouldn't have a bath in it, but shower was fine. Shelf above the "kitchen" counter was sagging and unable to hold anything without it sliding off. A nice touch was 3 different bottles of wine (red, white, rose) in the fridge for $35 each. Overpriced compared to the liquor store, but a little less than standard restaurant price for the quality. The check-in staff person was nice. There were others (manager I think) standing around behind the counter, not doing much apparently. Could have been an opportunity to engage since there was no one else around. Stay was quiet, but not really due to soundproofing - there was just not many other guests. I could hear the staff banging around pretty easily in the morning. Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise, having scrambled eggs, potatoes and toast, along with standard orange/apple/fruitpunch juice and coffee/tea. There was cereal too, I think, with orange slices too. I saw syrup, but didn't notice pancakes or waffles. I'm sure i just missed them. There was also a sign on the table saying bacon or sauauges were available for $5 each. Breakfast was a lot better than the standard croissant with coffee/tea.

Staff was excellent and friendly. Everything was well looked after and the continental breakfast was excellent. My wife and daughter have food allergies and the restaurant staff was very knowledgeable and responsive to make sure we all enjoyed it. The only partial negative would be the rooms could use some updating but that did not stop us from enjoying our stay and will stay here again.

Overall we had a great stay. Our room was quite comfortable and spacious. Being an older hotel, its furnishings and decor (in the suites) was a bit dated, but still comfortable enough. The location was great for our purposes.

Amazing as always. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and a great size. With the new hrm parking app you can park anywhere in the evening and just add money for your zone in the morning so dont have to pay a lot for parking right downtown. Breakfast is very good with gluten friendly (nonceliac) options. Highly recommend

The stay was great! My only thing was the listing advertised a “full kitchen” but no oven…so not really a full kitchen. The write up said only a microwave, so a bit misleading. Luckily there was a superstore close by so I could purchase items for stove top vs oven, but definitely threw a wrench in my weekend. I had also called ahead to the hotel front desk to ask what kind of dish ware was available for the room and specifically asked if there was glass oven dishes…..so Other than that room was awesome, clean, housekeeping was right there when needed

I will have to say that my two night stay at this hotel was very disappointing and I will be canceling my upcoming nights that I have booked for next competition. I have so much to say - much of which I was going to explain during checkout however the lady who "checked me out" didn't even ask how our stay was. I was over it at that point and wanted to leave asap. To start, this is the loudesd hotel I have ever stayed at. Not just the kids running up and down the hotel banging on doors but the fact that I could hear every time other rooms flushed their toilets, washed their hands, etc. My room alarm clock was set for 6am but someone other then myself. This was my on sleep in day but my daughter and I were abruptly woken up at 6am and were unable to get back to sleep. The housekeepers stood outside my door for almost two hours chatting this particular morning. That night at 11PM my daughter and I had just fallen asleep after a long day when we were once again awoken, this time by someone using a carpet cleaner on the carpets in the hallway!! 11PM! Then followed by men arguing in that same area. Some of which who were staff, a manager included. I have videos of all of this with time stamps if needed. Lastly, I paid $57.50 for parking. There was ONE spot left and it was a spot so small that nobody could fit in it...that would be why it was available. It was extremally stressful. I have so much more I could add but I will leave it there. Will not stay again,

The parking was horrible. Nothing in the parkade or outside. We paid the $25 for parking and then had to ask twice to have it removed since we parked on the street. The parkade is awful. The sign did not say full and we drove in. No spots, no way to turn around so we had to back out and hope no one else came in! The hotel itself was amazing, the room was great!

Unfortunately, the stained carpets and bed sheet that didn’t fit the bed, outshined the pleasant and helpful staff. Between dining and requesting extra towels, everyone was excellent in providing service!

Hotel was very central and close to everything, within walking distance to anything you need. Staff was very helpful and continental breakfast was excellent! And we were able to take our chocolate lab with us! Would definitely stay again.

Easy walk to ScotiaBank Arena for sports games, plenty of bars/pubs restaurants nearby. Getting a bit dated but clean and comfortable, beds comfortable and linen good, breakfast is basic but enough

Room was nice clean.....had partyers next door smokeing weed and fighting got woken up 3 times told the staff and they did nothing about it by far the worst ive stayed in and wouldnt compensate cause i booked threw expedia will not be back

stayed one night with my partner for a night out on the town & loved it here! spacious room, soft & clean bed (even though it smelled of cigarettes) amenities were great, staff was kind & happy to help, & complimentary breakfast was definitely a plus! my partner loved our stay as well- we will be back for a longer stay! :)

The hotel is right in the heart of downtown Halifax , walking distance to the waterfront and restaurants! Breakfast is included! And we really enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi during our stay!
