The room was clean and quaint. The bathroom was roomy. The team at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and service. AC doesn’t stay on so it’s hard to get a full nights sleep without waking up super hot. Beds need an update.

An amazing location. Great service.

Great location but tiny room , tiny shower, tiny toilet & tiny bed . Everything needs upgrading

The room had only a thin curtain which did not block out sunlight. The lights from the street shined into our room all night and then the sunlight.
The bed was very uncomfortable. We paid over $400 for a room that wasn’t as good as a cheap hotel.

We came to Venice for our anniversary, and Hotel Cavaletto was the right place to stay. Everything was perfect, including the great room, service, and attention to every detail. Of course, the location was great, too, right next to Piazza San Marco. The hotel provided airport transfers at a great price. I highly recommend this!

The staff were fabulous especially the reception gentlemen they always helped us get to the tours that we had scheduled

We totally enjoyed our stay in Venice and the staff helped out with good recommendations and directions whenever we asked. You can't beat the location of this quaint hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and they even have a water taxi pick-up right at the hotel. Great little find!

We were very lucky & able to check in early since our room was ready. The man at the front desk was great& his English was easy to understand. Our room had a canal view which was awesome to watch the Gondeliers set up. For check out day the front arranged a water taxi to the train station and he was prompt. It was a plus yo be able to have them pull up to the hotel. The breakfast was huge too & the bar very reasonable.

Great location right by St Mark's Square. We were fortunate to be one of a very few that had a balcony (maybe only two??) Some gondoliers parked their gondolas right outside this hotel. It was fun to watch them prepare for their day and clean up the boats at night. Hight end shopping nearby. Great food everywhere you turn. Quick access to the vaporetto. Breakfast was good. I would recommend a private water taxi when coming from the train station and returning to the train. Hotel was able to set this up for us. Would stay here again.

I was delayed getting to the hotel on my check in date and I was told that there's nothing that could be done for me so I had to pay for another room plus the one that I had already paid for.

Great location and service. Furniture just needs updating but I would recommend it and stay again.

This hotel is in a perfect location and the staff is very nice, however it should not be listed as a 4 star, maybe 2.5. It is older and our first room was very rough around the edges. The front desk apologized and did move us to a slightly better room - it just was not a 4 star in any way. They said they are renovating - but the star rating is what encouraged us to book it and pay the rate we paid - so we were disappointed to not experience that.

Front desk staff was excellent, especially Danilo. The hotel while older and in need of some updating was ideally located just off of Saint Marks Square. The Breakfast was excellent. Our room was located in a separate annex across the alley

Nice, old style hotel. Our room was really tiny, but it's written in the description. The breakfast was okay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice view over the canal, can get noisy with windows open, but this is Venice

great location ! close to everything. great service and friendly staff. we had a good time and rested well. Rooms are small but big enough to sleep and we only slept there. Breakfast was good

Great location! Oldest hotel in Europe but remolded for today’s standards. One negative was that the hot water during the shower would fluctuate between very hot to cold to just right but the very hot was indeed too hot. I took a shower at night and my friend in the morning with the same result. Otherwise for the price a great choice.

Hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately the staff weren’t particularly helpful and when having to ask for anything as it was not provided as stated in included details it was awkward and we were made to feel bad.
There are no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms and none in communal areas as stated in hotel details.

The hotel was about as close to Piazzo San Marco as possible! We had booked a “superior” room, but it was tiny with no view whatsoever. It was even in an auxiliary building, so not even on the canal unlike all of the pictures on their website. Breakfast was okay, but the dining room was terribly cramped and crowded. Superior location to explore all of Venice.

hotel stay in the middle of the city, near to everything. perfect place to eat shop and explore.

Very beautiful old Venetian building. Thin walls but nice comffort

The perfect thing about this hotel is the location. It is right onto one of the biggest gondola stations in Venice, where you can wile away the day watching tourists and gondoliers interact with each other on a balcony at the waters edge. The next best thing is the friendliness of the staff, whether it is the front desk, the restaurant or the chamber staff, they are always there to help. The only this that prevents a full five stars in the condition of the hotel and this is not a Cavelletto unique thing. Having stayed in Venice in several occasions due to continual flooding it is difficult for hotels to keep up with maintenance however this will not stop me from coming back time after - the Cavelletto is my new favourite Venetian hotel.

The solo room was perfect and had everything I needed. It was comfortable and clean.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. More like a 2. Room was very dingy and bedspread was terrible.

Excelent small hotel a few steps from S Marco square, great location, good breakfast included. My only recommendation is to install a ring at the adjacent building door to grant access

We visited near the end of Oct. the room was stuffy and the AC was off for the season. We left windows open at night so bugs were buzzing in our ears all night. No screen on the windows. Location was great and staff was nice and we stored our bags since we arrived very early. We did not spend much time at the hotel.

I didn't get reply for my messages before I checked in.Then everything fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic hotel choice. The most amazing location. the view from our room (green room/canal view) was incredible with the gondolas parked up overnight outside. Very quiet, peaceful area. Short walk to San Marco square with so many attractions. (we also walked from the bus/train stop to the hotel, took 25 mins) Staff at the hotel were superb, very friendly, warm welcome, always on hand to chat, we were spoiled by having a superbly clean room every day and excellent multi choice breakfast. This is the perfect hotel for not only being in a quiet location but accessible to all alleyways containing shops/restaurants as well as the Grand Canal, Doge Palace, water bus etc etc. We loved this hotel and will definitely book this room again and highly, highly recommend it as the ideal place to stay.

Right off piazza San Marco. Clean, staff helpful

The view out of the hotel window is magnificent. The location is perfect (1 min walk to the San Marco Square). The room itself, including the furniture, is pretty old looking, however.

Great location, but dated hotel, with poor carpeting, furnace, tv, bed. Not comfortable, but great location.

This is very old hotel, and our room was very small and cramped. The heating control did not work. The staff is courteous and helpful, obviously doing the best they can.
An uncomfortable experience.
The location is great, however, only a few steps from Saint Mark square.

This property hotel was not as advertised. The aging and maintenance of the building was apparent in the pealing wallpaper and misty carpet. Also broken heating system and had. No ventilation in the room. Windows needed to be open and the noise level was high. The restaurant was again badly as well. And not open except for a buffet breakfast. No room service and in adequate WiFi. Def not as ad. We changed rooms and it was just as bad with heat unbearable so we checked out

This hotel was very clean and in a perfect location to all the main tourist spots in Venice. The concierge was pleasant and held our bags until our room was ready while we explored the city.
