Nice hotel. Staff was excellent. Check in & out was flawless. TV needed updated. We had to turn on & off on the TV , not with remote. Room was clean but needs updated. Couch & chair very low to ground & hard

The Days Inn in Hillsdale is a decent place to stay. There aren’t many options so for that, it does the trick. But a lot was left to be desired. The biggest issue I had was all the marijuana smoking our first night there. The place stunk of the stuff. It was fine the second night. But I don’t know if something was said or those tenants/visitors weren’t there. The vanity is outside the bathroom, fyi. The toilet and toilet paper dispenser were very low to the ground. In any event, it was a decent stay. A solid three from me.

Very clean. Breakfast items could be improved. Dont like to cook things like waffles in a microwave. Prefer a toaster oven. Staff were all very congenial.

Thin walls--I could hear phone conversations next door happening in normal voices (not yelling). It seemed televisions were always on around me. Hard to sleep if you like it quiet.

The carpet was dirty, had to get a vacuum before settling in. Bathtub was patched and stained and had film on it. Wouldn’t stay there again

No elevator. Staff was friendly but someone had their car parked for two days with a dog in it. To me it looked like a homeless person living in the car. Front desk said it was a guest.

The shower made a whole lot of noise when I diverted the water to the shower head from the tub faucet. The supply line in the wall was hammering away for about 5 minutes each time I used it. My apologies to the rest of the guests for the racket.

The breakfast was disappointing. My husband ended up with a bad burn on his arm as the lid on the cup of hot water did not fit properly. The hot water automatically expanded the cup so the lid could not fit. The staff came and mopped up the spilled water and did not offer and ice pack or anything to help the the burn.

The tv didn’t work. The tub had 5 inches of water in it after a shower. There was no hot tub. We were never allowed more than 2 pool towels.

So everything was Good , except for the room expedia booked me in, a handy cap room! Didn't need that type. No where in the description of room did it mention handicap,it said 1 king bed and nothing else other then 2 room left @ the price quoted.
That is the only problem I have. I cannot get expedia to exchange/swap different room for same price quoted nor partcial refund.

They couldn't find my hotels.com reservation, so I had to pay $60 more than quoted to stay 2 nights.
Also breakfast was kind of scarce, maybe because we were later in the morning.
Beds were comfy.

Room was comfortable and big, a/c worked very well. Overall hotel needs help, dirty, rundown, smelly. looks like it's been years since anything was done to it.

We had to change rooms because the TV didn't work, The hotel was noisy . I think they were doing noisy work in the middle of the night. The hair dryer didn't work and the room and hallways smelled like smoke. The offered breakfast was not very good. One of the desk employees was very nice and helpful as was the maintenance person. One desk person was cranky. There weren't any blankets in our second room.

Checked in…looked at the room…everything was dirty and stained…didn’t even stay. I moved to another hotel, and when the new hotel asked where I was staying, and I told them, they said, “Oh, I am sorry. Don’t stay there.”

Where to begin..don’t worry about ‘free breakfast’, go out and eat- bed skirts are dirty- room smelled weird- shower wasn’t draining and had to stand in shower water- AC rattled when running- they have DirectTV- which bad signal most of time (who still has satellite?)- the “gym” is a workout hazard and should be shut down- held door open for front desk lady to push empty luggage rack through- she didn’t even say thank you- in short, drive 10 miles out of the area if you have to- just don’t stay here

They have an incidental see fee that you have to pay when you check in $50 . She told me it was for the snacks that for the room That is a lie . There was nothing in the room in the refrigerator. She said all hotels charge at I've traveled many places never have I once had to pay anything like that and if they had snacks in your room they were when you took them out it automatic registered and then you paid for it when you left off your credit card.The lady at night told me it was a for damages I have never paid that in any hotel. All the doors are locked I didn't feel very safe. You couldn't go out the back door to get to your car because it locked automatically. They say a free breakfast it was more like going to a convenience store packaged pastries cereal in a few sandwiches that look like that they microwaved. The beds were clean but the pillows were not comfortable in the corner of the The bathroom floor had dirt in it. The carpet look like it had never been cleaned in like 10 years. If I could have found another hotel I would have moved. Paid $104 for one night check in was at 3:00 We left around 8:00. Someone the water was hot for one thing the shower so that was good soft water which I liked. The lady at the front counter at night was very friendly The lady in the morning was more monotone didn't care acted more like it was inconvenient to even talk to you. The young man that was in the hallway was very friendly that worked there I think he was housekeeping.

Noticed the toilet wax seal was compromised and mentioned it to the desk clerk. It was quickly repaired. Great service, good breakfast. Nice suite. Comfortable bed, wall thermostat, very quiet.
