Good, comfortable hotel. The room was big and the bed was clean and comfy. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
The breakfast and evening meal were both good.
I would be happy to stay there again.

Hotel and staff were lovely but the rooms could do with a redecoration. Also, there are some steps, to navigate, depending on where the room is. Staff will help but, if arriving for the first time, by the time you've walked your suitcase along all the corridors and then come across the stairs, you won't want to walk all the way back to reception. Also, annex wasn't clearly signposted in main corridor, so we followed the room numbers, came to the end, and our room number wasn't there. We then had to walk back, with suitcase, to find where we were going. If your room is in the annex, staff should take you there automatically. Food was lovely and they catered for all dietary requirements. Pool and Spa were nice but, again, could do with a redecoration. A good budget hotel.

Overall a nice stay, we enjoyed the breakfast and the warm swimming pool.
We'd have liked bathrobes & slippers to go to the pool. Also, on the first day, we heard that the cleaning process wasn't done the night before so they were doing it in the morning, meaning we could not access the jacuzzi. (pipe hose was in)
On the second day, the jacuzzi was on and I nearly burnt my foot going in. Another man tried after us and jumped straight out too. I was with my 8yo and it could have been very dangerous for him.
When we got out, a blue mattress was put on top of it.
At the restaurant, we were never asked if we wanted any dessert (I was desperate to try the pear crumble but wasn't invited to). I wouldn't recommend the green veg or coleslaw but I loved the soup & sourdough bread.
Breakfast was nice, with the staff constantly adding stuff in. Maybe lacked pancakes if I want to be fussy?
The room was fine despite a noisy fridge and we couldn't dry our swimsuits as the heating was off and the towel rack is only a holder. We appreciated
Also, we "won" the breakfast on the lucky wheel but as it was already paid for, we got points instead. Not very customer friendly.
Finally, a massive THANK YOU to the lovely girl doing our room on our way out, as she ran to us with my mum's handbag. She was so quick to react and she seemed a real asset to the hotel.
About Chatham... go to Rochester instead. It's much nicer. Asda nearby, very convenient!

Very modern entrance/check in. Restaurant was very clean, food was excellent. Spa
facilities are great. Very nice atmosphere, all staff went above and beyond with any questions. Will definitely be staying again.
Only downside was that there isnt WIFI in the rooms, just in the main entrance/Restaurant.

We booked the rooms as we were travelling down from Yorkshire to a family funeral.I called the venue to see if there was any chance of a earlier check in as the funeral started at 1pm. Was told they would do what they could with no promises. We arrived at 11.45 and the receptionist tried everything to sort. Our rooms were made available to us which was very appreciated

Thanks to all the staff who made our stay so good. They were all so helpful and friendly, a credit to Holiday Inn.

Our stay was very good other than our mattress was too soft. My wife and I found this uncomfortable.

It was quite noisy from traffic as I was in a room overlooking the main road, and the bed was a bit hard. Next time I'll ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

This morning at breakfast this one lady called Dee stood out. She went over and beyond... i couldnt help but watch her. She made sure everything was perfect, no exaggeration. She made sure the food was out and presented nicely for others she was cleaning!. Emptying the tables...... the whole dining area she kept perfect and clean and all by herself. I had to stop and praise her fantastic job. Great dining experience thanks too Dee. 🙏

It wasn't clean. We changed the room, but the 2nd room wasn't really clean either. In the hotel, all the doors were dirty, the floor was sticky, even in the breakfast area. At breakfast there was cake from the day before. I always ate the same cake for breakfast for 10 days in England, also in another Holiday Inn and the cake was partly from the day before. Unfortunately, the dishes were not clean either. You always had to look at breakfast to see what kind of cup or plate you were taking. The staff is the only positive thing about this hotel. They are very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, we will never book Holiday Inn again. We booked 3 hotels of this hotel chain on our trip and all of them were not good. The hotel in Rochester was unfortunately particularly dirty. Even if it's old, it can be clean. Especially because Holiday Inn is everywhere with
Cleanliness advertises and in the end it was not clean at all.

A pleasant place to stay whilst I was on a course. Shame I forgot my swimming costume as the pool looked amazing.
The bed was a bit hard for me, but room was clean and provided a good work area for the homework I had to do.
Ordering food and drink was a bit complicated as it is alldone via a tablet. I put in that I was vegetarian which was fine for food , however it vastly limited the drinks I cold have. I couldn't even order a glass of water. I fed this back on check out. Also as food options are only kept on the tablet you couldn't easily walk in and have a look at the menu before deciding whether or not to eat there.
As with a lot of the hospitality business at the moment I think they were suffering from lack of staff, and waiting times seemed longer in the bar/restaurant area.
Overall a good place to stay, just a few minor things to iron out.

Our stay was okay. The staff here are all so kind and friendly. The rooms were clean but I think need an update. The beds are very uncomfortable so I didn’t get much sleep, the carpets are stained and there wasn’t much water pressure in the shower. We were hopeful but left feeling let down.

The first room we were given was much too small as I suffer with chlostrophobia. We went back to the reception and we’re offered a lot larger room which was so lovely.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good.

All staff pleasant and friendly. We had breakfast and this was good, also the 1 evening meal we ate. Bar area ok.
Could do with more information about the spa and usage whilst there, we weren’t given any and so many children in it every time we looked. We were visiting the historic docks so the hotel served its purpose. Area locally could do with some financial input

Hotel was clean, food was good and staff couldn't help you enough. The only thing that let it down was the surrounding area as you are a dual carriage way.
Other than that really great value.
