The front desk people were very friendy. We went to a music festival so the room worked for us. It is in a good location.

Location was great and room was mostly clean. Ample parking under the hotel which was a plus while the Wifi in the rooms didn't work. I had to go down to the lobby and use their office password to get Internet

Booked due to the last minute price drop since we had a trip change. Pictures looked ok, reviews were ok but the room setup and condition was not ok.
Condition
There were multiple baseboard areas that looked like something leaked from the wall and had never been touched for cleaning. It did not help that the room was below street level. Shades were torn and soiled. Arriving after dark did not help the situation and looked worse in the morning. Since the room looked this way, we passed on the breakfast and chose to eat elsewhere.
Setup
The beds were wrapped with a hollow metal base which created a gong sound every time one of us tried to get close to a bed. This also caused lots of strange noises just turning over in bed. For some strange reason, each bed had an optional backlight that when turned on would rotate through a rainbow of colors. Discovered by the kids, caused an inpromptu musicless disco dance and out of control laughter.
We survived The Wave but won't be back for another session when visiting Redondo Beach.

Searching for the words to describe it let’s see. Mostly it was the breakfast, picture 20 or more people in line to use the waffle maker. No bread for toaster, 5 danish, micro muffins. But the help there were amazing, but seemed invisible. I would say ten stars.

Nice location, but parking should be more obvious. Beds are horrble, not comfortable, metal siding was a poor design choice. Seriously noisy. Unfortunately there was a crying toddler/child at 5am and noise travels well here.

Room was nice and spacious. Convenient soda and snacks machine in property . Close to a lot of restaurants in the same boulevard before you go explore the beaches close to the area. Thank you. Friendly staff.

Nice spot. Would stay again.

The metal bed frames were about the only thing that was problematic with the room. Anytime someone accidentally kicked it, it sounded like thunder.

This property is run down and dirty. Window coverings had stains and holes on them. Everything looks dingy and unkempt including the pool. I feel sorry for the people leaving 10/10 reviews. Where the heck do you normally stay if this place is a 10? Gross!

This price was really good for being next to the beach. I was there during the storm and my bed smelled a bit moist

Used to be so much better. Under the last owner the pool was heated and maintained, now it is abandoned, freezing cold, not heated and dirty, the hot tub is filled in and is no more. There is no longer wifi in the rooms, the hot breakfast is just toast and cereal now. The only bedding was a thin blanket, why no duvets, anyway, it was cold, so i spent five days asking for a second blanket that I was never supplied with. There is an incredibly loud guest laundry that should not be used after 8pm, the staff refused to lock the door, so at 2am, 4am, 5am, half the hotel is woken up by people washing and drying clothes. These cutbacks by the new owners are obviously to save money, but they have taken away the reasons to stay, it is now basically a rough motel 6,but it used to have a fun, resort feel, ah well,I will have to find another Manhattan Beach place to stay.

Check in / Check out was fine, nice folks. Parking garage doesn’t seem monitored and there were a couple of unhoused folks in cars overnight. Sheets were old and tired; linens and towels were stained. Bed frames were sheet metal and loud when you inevitably banged a foot on it. Otherwise fine as far as a quick stay goes.

room is very spaceous and clean. There was no hairdryer inside (missing from wall bracket) but they were able to get me one when I found that missing around mid-night. Breakfast was basic but acceptable.

Stayed 2 nights. I might as well not have bothered sleeping. Between the cleaning staff yelling at each other and throwing and dropping things loudly and my “quiet” room was next door to the cleaning people’s closet. I asked for a QUIET room. I overpaid for the room for each night. The walls between the rooms are paper thin. It’s a good thing people didn’t use the rooms for romantic getaways, unless you’re an exhibitionist, expect your business between the sheets to be broadcasted widely across the hotel property. The doors kept opening and closing and slamming and opening and closing. Then every noise I made when shifting resulted in everyone else shifting. When a knock happened on the shared wall, the other side thought it was me and knocked back. I was 8 feet from the wall, but I guess they can’t see and not take it personally.
There was curly hair on towels from last set of guests. Thankful my mom taught me to not be too nit picky. The highlight? The front office staff. They made everything smooth and easy like a 5 star hotel; too bad my experience after the front counter was downhill from there.
So hotel staff, get yourselves promoted to other places! Y’all rock. Everything else? Welp…

The room was infested with ants. It was horrible we woke up to them crawling all over the bed, floor, and counters it was very unpleasant. Thankfully they moved us rooms fairly quickly the customer service was great. But this should be addressed.

Booked this place based on misleading, positive reviews. The room was shabby and dark. The exterior hallways smelled of cigarette. When I asked the staff person about this, I was told that guests are allowed to smoke outside the rooms. The shower was dirty which made it unusable. The extra-thin bedding was dirty (hairs, cigarette holes). When I reported the dirty sheets, the staff person stated that another room was not available. She brought replacement sheets of similar quality. The cleaning staff person was not available, so the staff person tried to clean the shower and stated that the shower had been repaired which gave it the appearance of being dirty. After a red-eye and a funeral, we changed the sheets of the cleanest the two beds and checked out in the morning. The morning staff person did not seem interested in why we cut our stay short. Couldn't leave fast enough!

The location is good with lots of restaurants and a Vons grocery walking distance. 15 minutes drive to many attractions.

The only thing which I didn’t like it. Surrounding of the beds which were covered which iron sheet and every time when you touched with your leges has made bad noise

My room was not ready when I checked in at 3pm. I called ahead of time they said rooms would be ready by 2pm and that there would be no charge for early check in but they lied because I didn’t get a clean room until after 3 pm. The beds were terrible. No recommended for more then one night if your just driving through. I won’t be staying there again.

Hard bed on a noisy aluminum base. Very cheap linens. On a noisy street...plus cockroaches

This was a super nice hotel for the price compared to most hotels in the LA area at that price point. The room was super clean. The floors were laminate and clean. I could walk barefoot in my room. The only issues I could legitimately find fault with was the unit that we stayed in must of been below a family with toddlers and those kids sounded like they were running marathons all night until the finally went down for the night. Not really the properties fault on that one. The other thing I noticed. The room was immaculate and the head board even had cool lights that changed color when your turned it on, but the curtains were dated. In this beautiful room the curtains stood out because they didn’t close fully and there was mold on the curtains. The next thing that was bothersome was that the toilet would occasionally run for long peorids by itself. Other than the loud toilet and moldy curtains. This was one of the nicer rooms for the price in the area. The house keeping was on point without being asked and breakfast was an added bonus.

The motel/hotel was clean and in decent condition. My bigest strike against it was that there parking garage was full of old or broken furniture, it harder to find a space because some were covered by the furniture.

It was very quaint.
