Beautiful old hotel. Very responsive. Lots of steps on floors which makes it a little harder to transport your luggage.

Very comfortable rooms with lots of nice little luxuries. Just don't get a room facing the street. They are building a bridge across the street & if you are not an early riser, the noise will wake you up.

Convenient location in the centre of town.

Love this hotel

Check in staff rather curt, one of the breakfast staff completely ignored our request to sit by the window, our room 210 had a view of window bars, air conditioning etc, woken early by the noisy housekeeping & very loud plumbing from adjoining rooms every time their tap was turned on. Avoid the curry on the bar restaurant, ate one spoonful & tasted awful, staff completely ignored the fact that I said it tasted awful, no refund offered etc.

Amazing service!

Front staff was very professional. Room was very comfortable and close to sightseeing spots/pubs. The pub below served the best Guinness I had in Ireland. Thank you.

A very nice hotel... the staff are super and the food is great. The bed was pretty comfy. The room was nice, not overly fancy but did what it needed to do.

Felt at home here when I returned to Waterford for first time in a long time. Loved the scones.
2.0
The hotel was wonderful, comfortable, and clean. The front desk staff were also fabulous. However, the breakfast hostess was condescending and unwelcoming, which is the antithesis of every other experience we had in Ireland.

The Granville is a classic. I’ll be back and am happy to recommend them.

Receptionist extremely helpful. She managed to find a quiet room at last minute - very grateful to her, the room was perfect 👌
Breakfast was delicious, lots to choose from and everything super fresh.

A glamorous old place. We stayed just a night en route to Kenmare from Rosslare, and it was elegant and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was really, really good.

The hotel was well located and in good condition. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The only challenges were that the location requires you to drop off luggage and remark the car down the street. Not too far at all but there were tour buses parked in front and nowhere to stop and unload. Also, construction across the street was quite loud during the day with a front facing room. Both challenges are difficult for the hotel to control, but perhaps valet support could help with luggage drop off in situations like this. Overall a lovely hotel. (10/23)

Wifi is terrible. Staff said they would look into it and come back but they never did. Otherwise hotel is very nice.

The hotel is really nicely appointed and the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in so far. Also the room was the largest. Huge by most European standards. The staff is very friendly (as has been everywhere we’ve been). Highly recommended

Hotel staff was superb, very friendly and helpful.
I would absolutely recommend also either having a pint or dinner at their restaurant: very good food and excellent service in an welcoming environment with plenty of local families.
Location was great: a two minute walk from the Waterford Catholic Cathedral and shopping area and about a 10 minute walk to House of Waterford.
The hotel is also within walking distance from the bus and train station.
The only downside was the location of my room, which was directly on top of the bar and could hear the music until 11:30 pm

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Great dining and very walkable. The staff was so accommodating from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Our room was huge and absolutely gorgeous.

Construction right outside our room. Old hotel, had to climb stairs to get to the bed. I am sure it is mostly used for bus trips.

Great location to the museums. Great bar and dining room. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We had a rental car. Because they cater to bus groups, we couldn’t unload our luggage in front of the hotel. They allow all parking spaces in front of the hotel for buses. We had to haul our luggage from over a block away in the pouring rain. It would be better if after unloading passengers, the buses parked off site. This was a disaster.

Perfect location, old world charm, fabulous staff and a lovely bar.

Comfortable central hotel with great breakfasts & friendly staff.
2.0
Older hotel with low water pressure and heavy bus traffic from various tour companies. No working schedule/heating system, small room. Extremely noisy outside traffic from your buses, construction, beer delivery trucks and cars all starting at 7 am. Due to location in main street, no chance for sleeping in.
5.0
Clean, safe, historic hotel, excellent dinner options.
2.0
Staff were great and welcoming. room was OK, but a few issues arose: leaky tap, extremely noisy bathroom fan, super stiff pillows.
We had a nice breakfast and it was incredibly busy.
Location is great and sponsored parking makes it easy for a city centre location to park at a reasonable price.

Excellent service and perfect location

The guy/tall manager very loud voice towards staff, bit of tension i thought bit too obvious, maybe moral needs to be boosted. Could do with some radio music or anything in bar, it was too quiet and too easy to hear all the staff orders and issues with payments. Music would drown that out. Breakfast sausages bit cheap taste..but nice smoothies and overnight oats.

Asked for turndown service was told yes- no service received. Rooms old and need upgrading and maintenance. Great mattress and pillows. Excellent location. Construction across street very very loud- no notice of this provided online or in person. For $230 a night, expect more.

This old hotel has been maintained exceptionally well. Very comfortable except that like most Irish establishments it doesn’t have air conditioning, a top sheet nor washcloths. Restaurant is very good, but reservations are recommended including for breakfast. There is loading space in front of the hotel and the car park is a short two minute walk. The hotel may cover this expense, so talk with the front desk about that along with instructions on how to exit the car park if the hotel is in fact covering the expense. Waterford factory tour is within walking distance as are eating establishments.
