Nice historic hotel. If you are looking for more modern luxury, this is not the place. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Museum of Natural History.

The bell staff always make our stay so welcoming . The housekeepers do a very good job. The restaurant Nice Matin continues with good food and service. We have been coming to the Lucerne for many years

Beyond my expectations. Classic rustic hotel but well maintained. Nice location in a safe area, the staff were friendly & helpful.
Door man offered they have an SUV available at a cheaper price than uber to JFK.
Walking distance to Museum of Natural History.
10 min by uber to my training at Park Avenue, 10 min to Times Square etc
Metro station a few feet away but we never used it
Small supermarket, dim sum , pizzas, mexican restos & plenty of coffee shops
just right outside.

It was a quick overnight stay, but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff and doormen were very kind and friendly. Easy in, easy out. Great neighborhood, train right there too, even found free street parking!

It was a wonderful stay. All except the room was very hot and air in my room didn’t work.

I liked the location and the small size of the hotel. Everyone on staff was very friendly and efficient. I will be spreading the word that it is an excellent choice in that neighborhood.

Staff was very nice and considerate. Great location. Beds very comfortable. only 2 reasons I didn’t give 5 stars:
1) water was shut off for 3.5 hrs yesterday for maintenance or inspection and I felt we should have been told in advance as soon as the hotel knew as it could have influenced our booking
2) room thermostat has limited adjustment. Couldn’t drop temp below 68 on setting but room temperature at times 73. Couldn’t keep fan on continuously unless AC off.
I would still stay here again as the positives strongly outweighed these minor issues

Staff was wonderful. The hotel needs some work. One or the other of the elevators was often out of order. Cleaning products used in the rooms had an odd odor. The room really needed a remodeling. The location was perfect for us.

Not just no complaints… this hotel provides such a great experience and value! Perfect location in the Upper West Side. Huge rooms. Comfortable beds. Exceptional service. Exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back.

This is a solid 3-star hotel. Not a 4-star hotel. Rooms are simply furnished, kept-up and clean, but feel dated and inelegant. Bathrooms are small and basic. The lobby is too cramped, and lacks a sense of formality that you would expect in a 4-star hotel. The two elevators make for excessive wait times. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a big asset and perhaps there’s an opportunity to create better visibility/connectivity between it and the lobby.

The hotel was reasonably priced for Manhattan, but the room was not very sound-proof (could hear everyone in the hallway, rooms next door and city noise making it difficult to sleep. The room was very musty and our allergies bothered us staying there. The bathroom had hairs from prior guests on the walls and floor.

Amazing visit. Beautiful hotel, perfect location. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back!

The staff was amazing - we had 4 young children (3, 4, 5, and 6 yo) on the trip. We were headed out to search for a toy store and one of the staff printed us a list of local stores and a map - my grandson's highlight was directing us all to the toy store using the map.

It was just an overnight stay but I loved it! The hotel is in a great location, very clean and spacious!!! The king bed was so comfortable. The room was clean, quiet and roomy. I will definitely stay there again.

Staff here is super attentive and friendly. The beds are very comfortable. Room was small but clean. Resides in the middle of the city but it was very quiet in the room. Highly recommend

The greeting by the doorman and offer to help get a cab or get luggage in the door makes you feel like you are coming home to your own apartment with a doorman who is willing to help. I've stayed at the Lucerne in the past and it's always a great location, comfortable stay, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
Also, our son lives close by and texted me at night to ask if I heard the wind. Apparently it was very windy and was loud in his apartment. I didn't hear a thing. Easy to sleep through the city noise that I didn't hear.

Room is comfortable though a bit small for extended stays. Not enough electric outlets for charging phones and computers

Hotel was very nice. It was elegant. The room was very nice and spacious considering NY space is always limited. The only negatives were that there was no sugar or cream provided for the coffee station in the room and the bathroom was quite small. But there were plenty of nice towels.

it's covenient location and comfortable to stay. by the way, i checked out in early morning and asked staff to send me receipts by email but i did not get the receipt by email yet. and still wating for the card deposit cancellation after 6 days.

Great location near subway and central park. Area has a neighborhood feel rather than being touristy. Wonderful front desk staff. Many dining options nearby, including a 24hr deli/market across the street. Quiet, comfortable and good-sized room. Only complaint would be the water pressure when showering. Would definitely recommend.

Great service and clean nice rooms . Close to my daughter apt and great restaurants everywhere. We requested late checkout at 1:30 and they extended it with no problem,

We grew up on the East side of the park, but everyone of our friends who came to visit us asked how on earth we found a room at this rate in this address for that kind of money. Clean, pleasant, the rooms aren't huge unless you pay for the upgrade but if you need location, a soft clean place to sleep, and a bathroom it's awesome.

We had the king suite and it was really nice and roomy. The hotel is a bit dated, but we were very happy with our stay there.

Beautiful, spacious queen suite—two queen beds, sitting room. We enjoyed 12th floor quiet corner room. Love the connecting restaurant, Nice Matin. Front desk staff was welcoming and accommodating.
