Hotel and rooms were clean. Hotel is a bit outdated. Staff were friendly and bilingual. Hotel is close enough to many restaurants and stores. It’s also a walkable distance to Whataburger.

Great price and location

Its nasty they towels are old and there was a stain in the curtain of what looks like blood. They didnt want to change my room so i had to stay in it. And the towels had stains as well.

Hotel is noticeably old, drapes are ragged, shower is rusty and the overall feeling is not clean. Worse was the leaving, We were knocked and called to force our checkout since even before 11, we were 9 minutes late and they wanted to charge more or "blacklist us".

I arrived at about 3:50 p.m. on Sat. Dec. 16th. I have driven from Austin to Laredo, 225 miles. Normally, check in is at 3:00 p.m. As I checked in, the clerk initially said that the room would be ready in 30 minutes. I reminded her that check in was at 3:00 p.m. and asked why my room wasn't ready. I was very emphatic about wanting my room. She asked me to wait a few minutes (which I did). Within about 5 minutes or so, I got my key. I was satisfied....momentarily as it turned out. Upon entering my room, the first thing I did was to turn on my laptop. The Red Roof network was open but the Internet was not functioning. I called the front desk and got a # for technical support. I did mention to tech that there was a network named Hotel Guest. They said the front desk would have a password. Front desk was clueless about that. I tried accessing the Internet on my laptop and phone. It wasn't working. When I talked with the front desk, I asked if anyone else had similar problem with their internet. She said no one else. That struck me as peculiar. Of all the rooms, my room was the only one with Internet? Around 2:00 a.m., my charging phone made a noise. It seemed that the Internet worked there...but only as long as the charging cable was kept in place in the electrical outlet. Ultimately, it was rather bizarre and extremely disappointing. I've stayed at this place many times....but n e v e r again (not even if I was offered a free night.).

All towels and sheets were super dirty , also the floor , terrible cleaning procedures

I didn't like it because the carpet smelled like dirt and around 10pm it started to smell like a pipe, the smell lasted for almost 3 hours and eventually it went away.

Facilities, good price.

I would only recommend this hotel as a last resort. The moment we entered the hallway a very unpleasant smell hits you. Once we entered the room the smell got worse. We also noticed that the majority of the pillows and bed were stained brown. There was also trash left over from the previous guest. Another reason for the review is the restroom seat looks like it was painted with white paint but is now peeling and looks brown. It was very unsanitary and dirty. We checked out after a few minutes of being there. I do not usually write bad reviews but this was unacceptable.

Great location, not so great rooms. Make sure to inspect room for any bugs or if you where assigned a dirty room so you can be changed.
