The lobby of the hotel is under renovation. The front entrance is closed and under construction. The gym is closed. The bathrooms on the lobby floor are closed and unavailable. I will not return until the construction and renovations are completed.

The Charlottesville Hampton Inn was under construction with no advanced notice so there was a mess and dust throughout the lobby. No hot breakfast was offered. Staff we encountered were unfriendly. In room air conditioning was very loud. Very disappointed. We usually love Hampton Inns but the Charlottesville location was disappointing.

The lobby is a construction zone, with jackhammers going and most of the area covered in black tarps. We had to wait for over ten minutes while the sole receptionist finished up a phone call.

We arrived after dark and the receptionist told us right away that the t.v.s were not working and that there was no hot water. We very much appreciated the information and checked in somewhere else down the road.

Staff was grea especially front desk Attendant. Disappointed in the parking charge. Unfortunately our schedules prohibited us from doing the breakfast

Good location for university and downtown.. The front desk rep could have been more cordial at checkin. The bed needs to be updated and it needs more charging stations for today's devices. Breakfast was above average but could be improved with better hot cooked foods and cereals, yogurts, etc.

Just an overnight stay because of an early morning appointment at UVA Hospital. Property is VERY convenient to that location. Room was large and comfortable, clean, and very quiet for being in the first floor streetside. I would stay there again.

I was surprised that they charged for parking since an automobile seems to be the only way to get there. The "accessible" room was hardly ADA compliant with only one grab bar in the shower.

Didn't like the noise from the street (cars) until about 10 pm.
Positive - everything else. Staff was super, breakfast good, location to the Walking Mall and the Amtrak Depot was wonderful.

Great hotel, just avoid rooms facing Main Street. Could be noisy at times in the night/early morning hours - Fire station down the street with trucks blaring sirens as they pass by.

Everything is old. Breakfast Buffet machines were broken. No hit water for drinks besides coffee. Parking fee extra to your reservation

Was a big crawling bug on the ceiling and a spider on the bed, they offered us another room but it was already after midnight and we didn't want to wake our baby up to do so!

The entire experience was terrible from the beginning. No staff @desk upon checkin. Expedia getting my name wrong on reservation.
TV not operating. Staff unconcerned including mgr I reported experience to following Monday since was Saturday night stay. Room next door shaking walls from kids next door. Just one of worse customer concerns ever experienced from hotel. HAVE STAYED THERE BEFORE WHEN FAMILY IN HOSPITAL & all was well then but this time seems new management doesn't seem to care. Will NOT return

The front desk staff was professional, helpful and very pleasant. The hotel was one of the nicest Hampton Inns that I have stayed at and I have stayed at a lot, as I generally prefer them. My only complaint would be the pillows, there was not much substance to them. Otherwise, absolutely perfect

My wife wanted to buy a bottle of water and was told she could not because the person at the desk "WAS TAKING INVENTORY." There were only 3 or 4 bottles in the cooler! Can't you hire people who can count?

We had room 123. It was next to lobby, next to kitchen, next to bathrooms in lobby...all we heard was noise all night.
Hearing cooking for breakfast was awful at 5:45 am and whenever someone entered hotel lobby you heard noise and talkinng.
This room should never be used for guests.
