There were used condoms in the night stand drawer that they refused to clean after asking multiple times to clean. Checking out, told manager again that it was still there and the head of the cleaning department stated that it was cleaned so had to take them both bake to the room to show them that it was still there. Staff is not properly trained, lots of OSHA violations, and the building is very run down and dirty. Also, was given blood stained sheets.

The location was great because it had walkable options for restaurants. Safe and quiet atmosphere.

All we needed was a bed after a long driving day. We booked this hotel quickly because of where we had stopped and it was Cheap. Bed sheets were clean and the bathroom was clean. Front desk person was nice. The whole hotel is in rough shape. Surprised that Baymont would put their name on this place. Ok if you really need a bed for the night. We got in at 9 at night and left first thing in the morning. Would not want to linger longer. There is some food for breakfast.

As a whole property, It's run down. Especially room 218. The furniture in that room was in horrendous condition. Cleanliness was subpar. Staff was excellent.

This hotel is very dated and in desperate need of a remodel. My room was clean and everything worked. The mattress and pillows were not comfortable and the sheets were rough. Decent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The hot tub water seemed clean but there was a residue on the hot tub tile.

This is a property that should be closed. The rooms are terrible, staff has bad attitudes and the breakfast was practically non existent. It would not take much effort to turn this reality around but it it clear that have given up completely

When I walked in to check in I waited until the person came out. He then walked to the window and said nothing. I have to say my last name. He proceded to do my paperwork without speaking then gave me a paper and said "fill out the car information". I gave that to my husband to fill out and in the meantine no voice from him. I had out my drivers ilcense and credit card and he did not ask for it, He gave me my paper copy and key and said nothing. I asked if manager on duty and he said no. I said I guess I will have to find my room on my own. I could see it was right on the right wall but he did not say nothing. Gave me a bad taste. Did not want breakfast and left early next day. Last visit to here.

The Baymont is maybe an older property that needs a bit of a makeover but it’s very clean and the staff is super nice. The person that takes care of the breakfast area makes sure breakfast is available during breakfast time (restocking) and keeps the tables and surroundings clean all the time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I can really recommend this hotel.

Looked like our room wasn’t cleaned before we came. Dirt was all over the bathroom, carpet and counters were dirty.

Safe and pet friendly stay on our road trip. $35 pet fee. Pet rooms are ok quality but that's what you get with a pet room.
Tip is to not park under the trees...the birds destroyed my car with droppings.

The staff did not help very much and only gave one word answers. The deadbolt in our room was broken in half, the remote to the TV did not work, the TV station went out every minute or two, some surfaces in the room have never been cleaned. Pillows were were slightly thicker then the sheets. Overall poor poor poor.

This hotel could use a good cleaning and painting. Dust covered chairs in the room and carpeting stained. Hair in the shower drain before use and the bathroom paint peeling off the wall.

I gave this hotel a 3 becuase the staff was great to me. They were not so great to others. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. Also, i think this might have been the first Baymont ever built in Michigan and it has NOT been updated. It smelled musty and the carpet was gross. Its in serious need of a remodel. The beds were like sleeping on rocks. I really hope they fix this place up soon.

Very out dated and dingy. Hair in the shower and bed. Smelled terribly of pot and cigarettes. Door didn’t seem the shut all the way. When we arrived, the room was extremely hot and stuffy and stinky. AC never cooled the room.

The property was not kept up and out of date. Nonslip strips on stairs were curled up and a trip hazard. Metal objects in pool area bathroom were corroded and rusty and the woman’s door didn’t lock, half the lights were out by the pool, breakfast was limited and not nutritious. Front desk staff were not friendly and rude. We didn’t have water in next morning and they said a rain storm overnight caused a main to break which is impossible and other businesses in the area had water. We couldn’t shower, flush toilets, brush teeth etc before we left. One guest complained he had cockroaches in his room but I can’t confirm however we heard complaints from other guests about other things. Another hotel didn’t recommend this location but we took a chance. Over priced for what you get and I would not recommend to anyone.

My husband and I went to St Joesph for a quick getaway to Silver Weko beach, and everything else was booked. We stayed for 2 nights. Hotel Pro’s: I felt “safe”, no bed bugs and there was a roof over our heads. The mini fridge worked, cold A/C and there’s free breakfast. Good location. Con’s: I could provide soo many details, but here’s what I know travelers will be interested in: The hotel as an overall need updating a deep cleaning – badly. I never took my shoes off. There were 3 flat sheets that served as a “comforter”. We had to re-connect the cable. There was hair in the bathtub. Don’t go in with high expectations. If you NEED a place to crash, this will serve that purpose. Else, I’d suggest that you look elsewhere.
