My family and I stayed here for a short spring break trip. The room worked perfect for us. Plenty of room for 5 of us. The kitchen was great with everything we needed to make meals. Plenty of restaurants near by and easy access to Mall of America.

The hotel was very nice but when we arrived for check in there was no one at the desk. I ringed twice with in 20mins. The front desk person came and looked like he was busy checking rooms but then proceeded to question what was our reasoning for staying there. I’m not sure if that was just friendly or protocol for when they feel suspicious of someone.
Over all the room was nice and clean, although the shower looked like it needed to be scrubbed. We were missing some blankets for the pull out but the front desk person took care of it right away.
Great service over all and a place I would stay at again with our family. Price was great!

We arrived early and staff was very accommodating! It was very convenient to get to our concert and many local options to dine.

We were very comfortable here. The two bedroom suite was great for our family of 7. There are washers and dryers available for free, which was a huge bonus as a mom of little kids! We were very happy here.

Great location. Good amenities. Comfy bed.

The location was very convenient for us and there are several common sites near by which also helps. The hotel itself was ok. The room was clean enough and basic. The room door handle didn’t work well so that was always a pain. The elevator also worked about half the time and we did need to get assistance from the front desk. Half of the lights in the parking lot were not working so we’re tried to park in the more well lit area.
Overall it was a functional place to sleep and shower. We’ll probably spend a little more money in the future in this area for a better experience.

Very kind staff. Toilet overflowed but staff was there right away to take care of it. Key wouldn't work for outside doors but excellent place to stay.

Loved the one bedroom apt. It was perfect for our stay in MN. Will definitely stay there again!

Overall solid experience, room was clean and nice, they have some work going on in lobby but it didn't impact our stay at all, parking was easy, easy access to freeway

A great "home away from home" feel. Great living space for the price- could do better in stocking the kitchen.

Nice room. Friendly and helpful staff.

It was extremely dirty in the general area. The pool was disgusting and we were unable to use it the entire weekend. Outside exit door was dirty with junk everywhere

Not pleased with the stay at this facility. The elevator was busted, the Hot Tub was not in use. The cards to get into our room needed to be swapped out twice. There was no breakfast at all, and their coffee maker was out of use!! Very displeased with the cost and services rendered!!

Only thing was the hot tub was not working

The rooms were good except on didnt have the bedding on the pullout or anywhere in the room to put it on ourselves. The pool was nice but you could feel dirt piles along the edges. The hot tub wasnt working. All around the stay was just ok.

The halls were dirty, they took over an hour and a half to get my room ready. And my room had a mouse running around in it. I was on first floor and all rooms have a one inch gap under main door, that means all rooms probably have mice on first floor. Utterly disgusting place.

The staff was very helpful every time we needed something. Rooms were clean and the pool was nice. One thing to note is that since they were remodeled after becoming Candlewood, the queen studio suites no longer have the sofa bed. So... if you see that on the website, they no longer have it. I can't speak for the other rooms, but that is what the manager said about the queen studio suites. He gave us lots of extra blankets and pillows. The suite was nice and had a couple of pots and pans as well as dishware and silverware. We used the stove one night and it worked well. I really recommend this place and would certainly stay there again.

Pros: Mostly good service and staff. Room amenities operated well.
Cons: Amenities in room were not well stocked. Excessive noise in lobby late at night that could be heard in hotel. Staff did not care of it.

There was a very loud intermittent noise from some machine in the locked closet in the bedroom-disrupted everyone’s sleep

Upon arrival we were told that the hot tub was down, they would call the next day to get someone to fix it, it was never fixed during the stay, the GM gave points to our IHG account for inconvenience, when we arrived to our room we noticed that the bed was small and realized that it was a queen and not a king that we payed for, contacted the GM about this and his statement was that the REGULAR GUEST comes first before 3rd party reservations. This should not be a acceptable response provided to any guest, and they were sold out so it was nothing he could do, we could just check out without penalty, we had an event to get to so we stayed and looked to figure it out later, on this stay we were placed in a handicap room, and our main door had to constantly be jiggled and worked on by my son otherwise you could just push the door open and walk in, ice machine in the fridge did not work so the staff had to bring up ice from the employee break room. I have stayed at plenty of Candlewood Suites over the years but I have never had a manager insinuate that my money was not good enough because I booked through a 3rd party, also when I asked a employee what the price difference was between a king and queen room was he said between 12.00 - 15.00 bucks per day, I told him why I inquired about that and his response was oh its not that much no big deal. What a great group of people working at this establishment.

This was our first time here, we had both of our dogs on this trip. The staff were extremally helpful and kind, the rooms were nice and clean. We have another trip scheduled, I would recommend Candlewood Suites.

Excellent suite. Very clean. Would have been nice to have vending/ice machines, and maybe a breakfast option

The rear hotel key entrance did not latch when closed-security risk. The room deadbolt would not latch-security risk. The pillows were hard & lumpy. In nicer hotels, you often have a feather pillow option. Loud party in main area of lobby later at night. Loud kids running up & down the halls late at night uncontrolled. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for no reason. Parking lot entrance door key entry was not working one evening & half of the hotel had no electricity. There were not any drink machines or provisions to purchase water or soda or snacks. Trash & laundry in the halls because they do not service rooms unless you ask for it. Hotel switchboard must not be staffed at night-could not connect with hotel due to very late arrival caused by airline delays. Had to show up at hotel at 4AM to find out if we could get in or not. Hotel not ready for prime time. Hotel manager refused to refund charges when we had to check out early for family emergency brain surgery & follow up. In fact, the hotel charged an extra $244 incorrectly which they said they reversed but which has not shown up in my credit card statement. The room was OK because everything was new. All in all very dissappointed with accomodations. I really do not expect to hear from anyone but I doubt I will ever stay in Candlewood Suites again. Very disappointed with IHG.

Unfortunately, they were unable to provide washcloths on two of the days we were there as no one knew how to operate the laundry equipment. The air conditioner in the suite bedroom sounded like a jet taking off every time it came on as it cycled to keep the temperature on the thermostat. Parking was adequate, but guests did not park properly and trucks with trailers took up multiple spots.

This hotel was undergoing renovation. We entered a lobby under construction, filled with noise and construction dust. With some effort we did get attention from an employee who was very rude and blamed us for not knowing that renovation was taking place. The room was adequate but dirty from past guests.

They were doing renovations like it said when i booked, but they had no reception area. Had to wait in the hallway for 15 min for then to just hand me a piece of paper and ups box to use to fill out my paperwork on. The whole stunk like chemicals and paint. Later on on the 2nd floor where we stayed, we ended up having are room fill with a natural gas smell. Went and got someone from downstairs who came up to look at it. He said it was just the dryer vent but then called someone and said he could smell the too and then just closed the door to that room, we were in the room across from area. Later on they put an area closed sign up. None of the door in our room closed. The bedroom door only one side would close. The bathroom door wouldnt close and latch. Overall if every hotel wasnt booked i would have asked for a refund and went else where.

Hotel was under total renovation. I was never informed. No breakfast, no pool or hot tub. Spotty Wi-Fi. I understand renovations taking place but had no idea a head of time. The noise was bad. One overnight front desk person had their puppy with them. The hard water is terrible. All the dishes freshly washed were all gritty. Most glassware was unusable. No do not disturb sign for door. Couch and pillow extremely uncomfortable. Bed in bedroom was very good and having pillow variety was nice. Bathroom size was good and shower was adequate. I never wanted to bother the staff because I was concerned about service. I was able to get ice when needed but shouldn’t have to ask front desk staff for it.

My room was recently updated. There were also very few dishes in the cupboards, and no hand soap. Only plastic utensils available (not ecofriendly!). However my main concern was the lack of sound proofing. The noise from the parking lot and hall way was one thing but I could hear my neighbor's conversation word for word. It was distracting and made it difficult to sleep.

Fantastic rooms, and the staff was great, cant wait to see it after the remodel

Property under serious renovation. Should be closed. They should not be operating.

We come to the area 4-5 times a year to spend time with our grandkids, 3 and 5 years old. We always seek a hotel with a pool and the kids love that. That has been "our thing" with them. They always look forward to swimming. Unfortunately, the pool was closed as was the breakfast area. If this had been posted on their website, I would've booked another hotel and kept this one in mind for the future. Once we realized the pool was closed, we called the front desk to explain why this was important to us and asked if they had a sister property that we could take the kids to swim at their pool and we were simply told "no" with no offer or suggestions to help. At this point, we were past the refund time and just felt stuck. We drove to the Holiday Inn across the street and explained our situation and they were super helpful and found us a place to take our grandkids to swim. They were at capacity otherwise they said they would've allowed us to bring the kids there to swim. This could have all been avoided by simply posting the closures on their website. As it is, I will not stay with them in the future.

The stay was not good. Pool and hot tub was not open. To much renovation going on during our family vacation.

Fantastic hotel offering really nice rooms with all the amenities you could ask for.
Lovely comfortable bed and a great refreshing shower.

Check in was very nice. We were very disappointed to know they were remodeling and the pool was closed. This was one of the big reasons we stayed as we had 2 kids with us. So, instead of hanging at the hotel pool, we had to find something else to go do to keep them busy.

Our room wasn't ready at check-in time. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our room & found out the pool, actually the entire hotel is under renovations so obviously couldn't use the pool.
