Most stuff weren't working. Room key card always faulty. Leaking roof, no wi-fi on second day. Only one of the lifts (super slow) worked.
Otherwise, location was awesome.

Nice hotel in a nice area near the sea.

No hot water nor pressure on cold water throughout my stay, Breakfast was terrible..!! This Hotel is not 4 Star I can recommend 2 Star…

It is what it is, 4 nights bed and breakfast for £118.00, comfortable rooms in an area a couple of minutes away from the lovely Sliema Prom.

From the reviews I was kind of accepting walking into a problematic hotel, but I was optimistic because it wasn't the high season. I was wrong.
Breakfast was bad. Large bowls with yogurt that no one touched, I have no idea if they switched from one day to the other, I've nerver seen such a thing. Cheap bread, bland eggs, badly cooked bacon, limited cheap choices. No healthy choices
Room ok-ish, bathroom deserved to be cleaned a lot better. Lots of noise from inside the hotel, you'll ear everything from the corridors and the elevator.
One day I didn't have hot water, the other days I had to wait a few minutes to have hot running shower.
It says it has 4 stars... no way in hell.

Positives: Good room, reasonable location and excellent staff. Negatives: the Wi-Fi fluctuated between patchy and non-existent. The shower was very basic too.

Good points -
Reception staff are nice.
Good location and room clean and comfortable.
Has a pool.
Bad points -
Major attention to detail needed (I don’t know what their maintenance staff are doing).
Painting on the walls and door frames on the 5th floor look like it was done by an 8 year old, the swimming pool steps are missing screws and are loose, the toilet by the pool has no toilet seat, the indoor pool is a building site (not that we would have used it), the jacuzzi looks grimy, one of the lifts has an exposed wire showing and you have to constantly ask reception to renew your room key card as the magnetic system does not work.
Maybe as it was near the end of the Summer season these jobs will be rectified over the Winter months as has the potential to be a good hotel.
Unfortunately due to the current general maintenance issues we wouldn’t return!

Hotel is in decent condition. However reception staff needs to be more friendly and better trained.
Twice they could not give my change for the fees they charged me. And one of them forgot to give it back to me.
Not very helpful reception staff as well. Needs to have better focus on customer service.

Worst Hotel we have ever stayed in. Door card never worked half the time. Hand and bath towels were taken away during cleaning and never replaced. Bath towels took six days for clean ones. They were soaking wet and just folded back up and put on the bed. Door handle came off everytime we opened the door. Fridge was not working except for the light. Tv was not working. Water bottles and buckets outside of the door from water leakage. Doors punched in, indoor swimming pool closed. Outdoor swimming pool had glass at the bottom of the steps. Staff rude when we complained. Bottom sheet was taken away on the second day and not replaced.

Amazing location

Good notes: super cold air conditioning that performed at it‘s best during a heat wave. There was also a large industrial fan provided.
Bad notes: I was greeted by a family already quite comfortable in my hotel room, but was quickly given a new room. Stains on the sheets and duvet. Crunchy thin towels, little to no water pressure and the shower head wall attachment was non existent. Questionable clothing items from the previous tenant were found on the balcony.
Upon checking out, we were rushed to leave our room prior to check out time three times by housekeeping.

Good value. 15-walk to Silema ferry point for Valletta. 10-min walk to Ballutta Bay beach.

The Hotel itself need to be managed much better in terms of cleaning and maintenance of the general areas. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable.
The bar fridge only operates when the key card is in the slot in the room so when you leave the fridge goes out and gets mouldy and smelly. Some electrical sockets did not work and others crackle when in use.

Tired property with terrible customer service. Never stay here. Everything is broken, including our balcony door, shower door, shower faucet, outlets, elevator, breakfast room. The indoor pool and hot tub have not worked in years. Expedia should ban this hotel from their site.

It is a cosy place but the breakfast was a literal car crash … during my whole stay there was a school trip and there was never food left for breakfast, constantly something wasmissing - relaxing breakfast? No! A pity that the hotel staff didn’t worry about any other guest and their comfort!! Very disappointing!

Worst service i have ever experienced in a hotel! Hotel is dated but thats fine. Only 1 elevator currently works (barely!), also cracks in bathroom floor and things missing like shower pressure and curtains. All forgetable were it not for the following. Turns out my room didnt lock upon closing keycard door. This did not feel comfortable so i asked reception for fix/new room. Lady at reception did not seem to care and casually told me manager might look at it at night or in the morning. This is no way to treat a guest or in anyway an acceptable stay. New room wasnt available, and although lock sort of fixed in the evening, it ruined my stay. Avoid this place!

I stayed here for three nights, the staff aren’t helpful, the lift was broken, the advertised jacuzzi and sauna did not work

Hotel did not answer their phone or emails, so could not get confirmation that arrival after midnight was ok, so opted for not going there, with the chance of standing on the street in the middle of the night.

What I expected. Nothing stood out in any way. Compared to other properties it is probably not the worst value for money, pretty basic but clean and conveniently located. There is some renovation observed so hopefully the overall quality improves. As of today, Windsor is basically a run down hotel that had it prime days decades ago. Everything lacks atmosphere, and taste (frankly). Speaking of which, breakfast was good for the money but pretty sure it would miss more options if I had to stay for a week. Not a single TV channel worked, maybe that can be fixed when brought up to receiption but who bothers at midnight. Not that I wanted to, because the remote looked just gross. Maybe consider getting ultrasonic cleaners to make it more appealing, or replace the unit altogether.

My girlfriend and I stayed for four nights at this hotel, the bed was comfortable, soft towels, and the staff was very kind and polite. Despite it being a large hotel with many rooms, our room itself was quiet. As for the negatives, the breakfast was a bit lacking. It would have been nice if there was more than one choice of fruit offered and some other options besides yoghurt, bread and lunch meats, and soggy scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon. The neighbourhood of sliema was very nice and the hotel is very close to the bus station. It took us about a half an hour with the buses to get to valetta. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It’s much nicer than it’s pictures depict, we enjoyed our stay!

It's not the same as it was 5-6 years ago.
But this hotel has a great location in Malta.
Would like to recommend it to all.

I stayed for 6 nights and didn't have any hot water for all nights. I complained to reception 4 times, who kept telling me they fixed it and to give it time.

NEEDED SOMEWHERE QUIET AS MY OWN HOTEL WAS FILLED WITH NEW YEARS REVELLERS
THIS HOTEL WAS PERFECT FOR A NIGHTS BREAK AWAY FROM THE NOISE.
I HAD UNINTERUPTED SLEEP ON A GOOD QUALITY BED.

Pleasant hotel in Sliema, no noisy clubs or bars nearby, nice pool on the roof, friendly staff. Only minus was weak wifi signal in my room. Recommended!

Excellent location, breakfast a bit hit and miss, very friendly staff. Needs a bit of a refurbishment, but i understand the financial issues they will have had during covid lockdowns.

Lovely stay. A bit in need of being redecoration and repair. But nothing of substance!!

The location of the hotel was ok, near to the beach and bus stops as well as shops & eateries. However, my experience was nothing to write home about, my air condition did not work and when I reported it, it was looked at the first night and it would for about 5mins then it stopped I had to sleep with a dirty standing fan. When I reported it the next morning I was informed it has been reported to a company for it to be fixed because it was under warranty when I asked when this would be the guy said to me "I dont know; maybe today or tomorrow" shrugging his shoulders at me. I only had a standing fan working my entire stay with dirty fan blades. The bathroom was ok, a bit of damp, my towels were not changed though I left them on the floor as stipulated by them if you want them changed. The shower did not have a door, bathing was difficult as I had to try not to wet the floor. My bed was a twin bed & one was longer than the other & i kept hitting my leg on the longer bed. The breakfast was pitiful & not much of a variety, the juice machine didn't work but then they had juices out in jars the next day. I didn't use the swimming pool as it was on the 6th floor. My room was on the 4th floor but guess what the lift didn't work so i had to take it to the 5th floor & walk down the stairs before i could access my room. Most of the guests were young & made so much noise. I don't know if I'll return but if there wasn't a choice then maybe.

Despite being at the hotel an hour before check-in we never got a room until 2.20 as the receptionist was too busy trying to organise a group of around 30 young people there through the EF program. We had to make repeated requests for our room. The room was clean enough but obvious signs of wear and tear, broken light fixings and chips on the furniture. The air conditioning worked well. The buffet breakfast was cold and the restaurant understaffed when we advised, they reheated it in the microwave 😑 the selection was very poor. The lift broke down due to being misused by the gangs of young people staying in the hotel, after 5 days it still wasn't fixed we had to carry our luggage from the 5th floor and a woman had an accident due to the stairs being narrow, poorly light and no hand rails. When we asked the receptionist to book a taxi, he qoted €13 euros more than the taxi to get there.

My visit was very short. There was no time to enjoy all the services offered.

This was my 3rd time staying here and unfortunately it was not the best time! For the first 2 days there was no working keys for the room and had to be accompanied to the room to let me in and when the keys were working after 2 days had to have them re done! For the first 2 days had no hot water in the shower and to be fair after I told them it’s was sorted out only for it not to have hot water again for the last 2 days and unfortunately I was leaving so no time to have it fixed! There was a lot of kids staying in the hotel and at night was extremely noisy and although this is not the hotels fault I can’t help but think they could have told the staff of the school trip that it was a problem for other guests! After 2 days the cleaners took my towels out of the room but never replaced them and as for cleaning the room all they done was make the bed no sheets were changed for 9 nights I personally think that’s not acceptable! Despite all of these problems I have to say the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I have to say it was nice coming back to friendly faces! I understand that it’s been a extremely difficult time all over the world and hotels have suffered a lot more than other businesses but I think this hotel needs a lot of attention and upgrading! Sorry hotel Windsor but this is my honest review

Overall i enjoyed my stay it was a good location where i needed to be and budget friendly. However some points are worth noting.
In my room the TV did not work, well it worked but there were no channels, which didn't bother me as i was mostly out and about exploring. There is no iron, tea coffee etc in the room and everything has to be collected from reception which is a pain when you are 4 flights up and the lift was on a number of occasions broken. The reception was mobbed on a few occasions with a massive I'm guessing group booking, it was absolutely manic, they were all kids running about!
Breakfast was mediocre, so after trying it the 1st night i just sourced my own for the other mornings.
There was noise as there were works going on and a poster on the wall informed you of this, no information at time of booking or checking in.
As for the location its great 5min walk to the seafront, plenty of amenities.
Last point i was sold this hotel as a 4* but being a business traveller predominantly in the UK, this establishment is at best the equivalent of a 3* UK standard of hotels.

Great position, staff were so friendly and very accommodating. So pleased with this hotel.

We choose this hotel for the indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi neither were working or warm .

In general, this is a 4-star hotel that should actually have a 3-star rating.
Basically I was there for a weeklong vacation, but I had complaints with the hotel on almost a daily basis. Some example:
- I explicitly asked for a king-size bed with a single mattress. However, I got two separate beds put next to each other, I fell multiple times and went to complain to reception that did not fix the problem, instead, two days later, they zip-locked the beds together which didn't really solve the problem.
- At check-in, they asked for my credit card number for a security deposit (they don't have the technology to block your credit card). I refused to give my credit card number for privacy reasons. So after I explained that they should not ask people for credit card numbers, I paid the deposit in cash. (note the deposit wasn't advertised or communicated until I got there and checked in).
- The towels situation is funny, we either didn't get towels at all, or got less towels than we needed, or got the towels collected at 10am and cleaned/returned around 2:30pm.. so basically we couldn't shower for 4:30 hours.
- The breakfast buffet is humble with limited fixed options. Only the single type of daily dessert was changing.
- The staff varies a lot between being nice and helpful, to nice but not helpful to straight up rude.
- At some point towards the end, the bed had bedbugs!

Overcharged by hotels.com first of all. Paid €60++ a night ROOM ONLY, whereas hotel charged €40 a night including breakfast. Phone in room didn’t work. Had to get lock fixed on sliding door as it was broken & tv had bad reception. Lift was broken, my 81 yr old mother struggled with this as she is on a walking frame, her toilet when flushed rose to top of rim. Would like a refund please. This is more a hotel.com error for extortion & not doing your research into the hotels you are representing. ill be posting on social media otherwise.
