The front desk attendants were outstanding. The room was slightly dirty, there was brown on the wall a little and the bedsheets smelled very strong. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

We were pleased with the cleanliness, space and comfort in our room -- the nice combination of firmness & plush in the mattress gave us restful night.
The only fault in the room: the table lamp plug on the right side of the bed did not work. I had my laptop plugged in there all night, and in the morning it showed that the charge on the device was ready to clock off! I plugged the laptop into the wall plug, and that worked fine.
Breakfast was filling and good. We would return to this Sleep Inn and recommend it to others.

Very nice pool. The Jets on the hot tub were not very powerful but otherwise the facilities were great.

We were told that we were in room 212. For to the floor and key didn’t work for 212, so we saw 211 written on the card. We went into 211. After getting in bed, someone else tried entering our room. Needless to say that was quite frightening and the person stated that this was the room the front desk gave her the key to. Front desk guy apologized over and over and said it was his fault.

Pillows were too soft - would be nice to have a choice of soft and firm. Also entire hotel was a bit dated. Staff was very attentive and easy check in

Used the pool and hot tub. The room was clean. Beds could have been a little more comfortable. One was so close to the wall you had to climb over the other person to get to that side. Shower was hot and so was breakfast. Service was easy and everyone was very nice. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was great except that we paid extra for queen sized beds and the beds were definitely smaller. I went to the desk and was told that those are considered their “queen beds”

The room we were put in was dirty and just beat up. There was a heavy musty perfume smell and you could tell the floor hadn't been vacuumed between occupancies. I also discovered numerous bites on my arms and legs the following morning from something, not sure if from a mosquito or something worse. We were staying there with our 7 month old daughter and were put in a room on the top floor at the furthest end of the hall. I felt like we were put there just because she "may disturb" other guests but she wasn't the one banging doors all night. We have to stay in Charlottesville from time to time for my daughter's follow up appointments with her kidney doctor at UVA Children's hospital but we will never stay here again.

My room stunk so bad like dirty socks or feet. I sprayed air freshner and body spray all over everything but the smell overpowered it quickly. I was not happy about this especially since i paid over $200 for a basic room.

For an overnight stay, my family needed a bed and shower for a medical appointment the next day. Only thing I would have to complain about was the flat pillows. Next time I'll bring my own pillows.

This was a stop on our travels east. It was a quick overnight stay.

The property is old and in disrepair. When something is being sold again and again, there is no excuse for it not looking pristine every day! The shower held water and the stopper for the drain would not stay open. The TV was of low quality. The double beds were tiny. The coverlet on the bed was not laundered. There was dried blood on it and what looked like sweat stains. It did not seem to be very clean.

The room was very comfortable but the bathtub looked like it could use a more thorough cleaning. The bed was very comfortable and I was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. There was an odd smell in the hallways but I did have a very satisfying stay at this hotel overall.

The staff was super nice and very helpful. The rooms were clean and adequate. Our TV did not work well, it had a lot of static and the property was a little tired in its overall appearance.

Overall, the stay was good. The service at the front desk for both check in and check out was easy, fast, and friendly. The staff in the breakfast room was also very friendly and kept the breakfast area very clean and the food stocked. The room was the only part that was not as amazing as the rest. Our room was two double beds and a pretty small room. The tv did not work, the image for every channel was very fuzzy; the safe was torn off from the wall, one of the comforters had a stain on it. As far as the bathroom, the exhaust fan did not work; one toilet paper roll had water damage, the other had black little fabric looking balls all over it. There was also a water stain on the under sink area where the pipes were. Overall, the room did the job though. There was an AC unit, closet, safe, mini fridge, desk, shared night stand between beds, shower/bath. The hotel we very nice and quiet and very convenient for anyone visiting UVA for the weekend. Breakfast was good with a nice variety- juices, bagels, eggs, bacon, waffle maker, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, tea and coffee.

The room was nice and clean. The hotel is just dated and not too much is around it.

The hotel and staff were excellent. The room was very clean and the bathroom was excellent..
They were very friendly and pleasing. The breakfast was excellent and the staff that monitored the breakfast did a fantastic job of keeping hot food available as well as a;; foods available. Would definitely stay there again or any Sleep Inn.

We spent with tax nearly $215 for one night. The sheets smelled like they hadn’t been changed, the carpeting in the room was loose, there was a hole in the tub surround, and the floor of the tub was dented and wouldn’t drain all the way. The light switch in the bathroom needed repair. The area in general has a lot of activity at night, particularly beside and behind the hotel. I feel the nightly rate should be less for the condition of the hotel. I’ve stayed at much nicer Sleep Inn’s.

We were looking for a comfortable place for a last minute overnight stop. Sleep Inn Monticello met the need. Great service, easy to use, good breakfast. Easy in and out.

It’s okay. There was a stain on my comforter, I asked for a replacement and it was done promptly. Not a great hotel but definitely not a bad one.

It was a nice feeling walking into the hotel the first thing you are met with is the smell of fresh and clean.

While we were not expecting a 4-5 star experience, for $235 / night we weren't expecting what we got. While the room LOOKED okay and the beds were perfectly nice with attractive linens, the bathroom smelled of sewage. The tub/tile/floor looked cobbled together from leftover remnants from multiple renovations. Although mentioned in the advertising, there was no WI-FI network to be found. Breakfast was acceptable. Staff was nice. Finally, though, we found great irony in the fact that we were going to enjoy a night's sleep away from our early-bird puppy and have a chance to sleep in after attending a local wedding. Instead, we awoke to lots of barking around 5am. At first we thought someone had left their dog in the car. Further exploration led to the discover that there is a KENNEL next door - across the street from our window.
