The front desk attendee and housekeeping staff alone made this an awesome stay for my kids and I. Everyone was SO friendly. The hotel, although dated, was clean and has a lot of activities for families both inside, and close by. For the price and location (with a great room view), it can't be beat!

Having called the hotel earlier in the week and told that the water park opened at 9am, I was stunned to to be told that we could not swim until 2 pm. Very disappointing. Not enough seating in the water park area. Snack bar closed from 4:30-6:00. Several 2 player games in the arcade were broken, took the money, no sign, no refund. Sad. Breakfast- limited options. Eggs and sausage were cold. Bread for the toast was dry. Line for food for was at times 15+ minutes. Elevators are not big enough or enough in quantity to handle the number of guests.

Check out was at 11:00am. We left at 9:00am to visit some family for a bit and put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. We came back at 10:30am and the cleaning service was in our room going through our refrigerator (cleaning was already done). Luckily, we took all of our bags with us when we first left. It is a great hotel BUT I suggest you don't start cleaning a room until 11:00am OR unless a guest has checked out earlier. FYI-off season, mid-week, waterpark not open, guest count was low so no reason to start cleaning early.

We were not pleased that the pool and hot tub were shut down. Had a beer in the bar and it was $9.00. Breakfast was very disappointing. Needless to say, we will not be going back to the Grand Harbor. It was extremely disappointing!

Really noisy, adults and kids screaming in the hall at 10:30 P.M when we were trying to sleep. Never received my checkout receipt was told I would get email never have.

Our stay was nice. My only real issue was the shower. If I'm paying over $200 a night I would expect the shower and shower head to work and be in better condition.

The staff I encountered was friendly and professional. The accommodations were disappointing and not as expected. The room was old, worn, and not very clean. The sliding glass door to outside in room 431 did not lock, which was not safe whatsoever! If I’d have realized this before my grandchildren were in bed, I would have left or requested a different room. The chemicals in the pool are were so strong and overwhelming it made it difficult to breathe and I do not have asthma or any other respiratory condition. My grandchildren and I all had residual coughs for 2 days from the chemicals and their eyes were red and irritated as well. The breakfast area lacked enough seating and many families had to sit on the dirty floor to eat.

Complimentary breakfast was terrible. First day we stayed there I seen only a few guests. Second day the food was nasty it looked like it was from the day before just reheated and there was so many people the line was down the hallway and people were standing around the eating area and hallway eating their food. The sausage was burnt and the biscuits were as hard as hockey pucks. The gravy wasn’t great either. Will not be back to that hotel. The waterpark is outdated and needs to be fixed. And the room wasn’t all the way cleaned when we checked in

Water park was not open everyday. It was not me on hotel.com. Just choose that hotel to have fun on indoor water park for kids. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy since it was closed. It was not mentioned upon booking.

Brother and I get a room each year for first round of ncaa tournament. Brother woke up Friday morning with a disgusting, matted clump of women’s hair stuck to his head… so sheets/pillows or whatever weren’t changed? Fridge didn’t work. Shower wasn’t working right. We’re going elsewhere next year…

We went to the Grand Habor for the pool, hot tub and water park and was not able to use any of these due to the park being closed. It never said that the park was closed on the web site. This was my husband's 60th birthday and we only went to this motel for the water park. We were very disappointed in not being able to use at least the pool and hot tubs that are advertised.
When we got to the room the TV and phone didn't work also. We would like some refund back due to not have a wonderful time that we had hoped for. Thank you Sharon

When getting to our room we had noticed that the room was not cleaned. I don’t mean some dust on the furniture.. which def was pretty bad and the computer chair was very stained… but there was a large pile of crumbs on the nightstand and what looked like dried juice that was very sticky. The comforter on one of the beds had brown stains all over it, and there was long black hairs under the covers on the sheets. There was also someone else’s mail in the garbage in the garbage can so we knew the garbages weren’t emptied. Mind you we had 2 small kids and the hotel was “fully booked”. We went to the water park and after a while we went to the concession stands and there was a sign that stated “back in 30 minutes to restock”. A man standing there claimed he was there for about 25 mins waiting and we stood with a line of people for another 25 mins. We finally had to give up and leave as our kids were hungry and getting very impatient and we never saw anyone inside restocking at any point of us waiting. The front desk worker was so rude to my husband about the dirty room. She stated since we booked through hotels.com there was nothing that they could do and that was our problem. She actually said “your room is dirty, we get it” and offered a new room after she just told us there were no other rooms available and we were suppose to pack our kids and stuff back up and move. He ended up walking away because he couldn’t deal with her attitude and I cleaned the room myself. Dont go here.

Love the breakfast, so good! The donut holes are where it's at.
Great establishment but could benefit from some minor updates.

Expedia mess up my date there so I lost 433 plus I have to rent room again for 633. So over a 1000 on a room with 2 bed that’s smelled like dirty socks, extractor fan didn’t work, bedsheet were so old they felt very old and uncomfortable, Pool are way old and not maintenance, there was filth water everywhere reminded me of any old motel with a pool. Go what each night cost was a big ripped off, and the Tony Romas too expensive for a 2.5 star rating.

Wasn't told upon booking on Expedia that the indoor water park closes at 4 pm (same time as our check in) nor that it would be closed on Monday. Kind of a bummer. Otherwise, things were clean and accommodating. There was a large crack in our door in the room and the TV could be updated (had no way to cast to it from our devices.) The shampoo was really bad. The view was incredible tho!

The staff was great and there was a lot to do. The only down side was everything was a bit dated/run down but I will definitely be going back!

We really enjoyed the stay. It was afordable and fun for our kids. Some downsides are the rooms are on the dirtier side. There eas stuff all over the walls and the remote was filthy. The daytime staff were great. They did have breakfast but it was pretty poor quality with no real utensils. Thr waterpark is aged but alot of fun.

My grandson and I frequent the waterpark almost every Thursday due to the discount. This XMas vacation me and all the grandkids went and stayed the night. It was all I expected, they allowed us to swim 3 hrs past checkout which rocked. The woman that checked us in was fantastic, said she had only been there 3 months but she was so helpful for a Grandma with 3 excited children. Thanks for the great relaxing time away.

The waterpark area is wonderful but the hotel is very outdated and the area for the continental breakfast is way too small. Both days our family had to stand to eat.

We got a room (601) with a great view of the Mississippi River. We departed prior to breakfast. In the past we have enjoyed their breakfast and the area it is served in. Adjoining restaurant may benefit from some upgrades. Food was good as was our service. We were a bit bummed that there is no longer a shuttle service between the two casinos.
Q casino is undergoing major renovations and was disappointing.

Nice hotel room with beautiful view of the Mississippi River and river walk. Clean room and bathroom. Bathtub faucet drips constantly and we were unable to shut off completely. Breakfast was hot with lots of options. Nice seating area for breakfast.
Hotel is easily accessible to downtown of the city.

Have stayed here once before. Like the fact we were able to take a city tour, go to the museum, eat, and enjoy the river all in same place!
Didn't care for the road construction in area.

The front staff was great! The rooms were a little dilapidated. The bedding in one of the beds was dirty.
We enjoyed the breakfast and the river walk around the hotel.
The lifeguard staff seemed like they were running late in the morning and presented like they had the hardest jobs in the world. Hard to even tell that a couple of people were staff because one guy was wearing a plain shirt and another life guard was wearing an Amazon tshirt.
